@@temzid3472 Hey man, sorry to hear. It is way better than it was. Turns on that it is ON 24/7 because of emotional stress(trauma) It has reduced in trauma therapy (I'm doing Somatic Experience/therapy) If you're in USA, you are very lucky, because there's an even more effective therapy form: Tantra De-armouring. The trick is to alleviate all the emotional stress. That will calm your body to the extent that your sensory issues will improve. There reason why your body "steals" your cognitive function, is because CORTISOL is running 24/7, under the surface. This is a stress hormone that can take you into fight and flight mode permenantly (as long as the body remembers the traume) The body is trying to save you from danger, but ends up going in running mode all the time.

Based on this video, I researched the therapy mentioned and was unimpressed. Since my sensory issues have become more and more problematic, I’m eager to find something that might calm them a bit. But all the research and treatment seems focused on *children.* Researchers and clinicians need to remember that autism -which typically includes SPD- is a *lifelong* condition. We are born autistic and we die autistic. Autistic adults are too often written off, it seems, but the need for support is still there. Very frustrating!
