anyone know how to get rid of Rhino start up window? it's taking too long to start the program in the beginning. At least I wish i can find out the way to reduce the loading time
way too much talk, instead of demonstrating the subject.
thanks for your feedback. we will do better next time
Thanks for the great overview, how to personalizes the UI. Do you have some UI templates ? Is there a template for BIM ?
How can I get back my top tools starting with standard.
hi jean, nice video Having issues saving these hotkeys in a new pc? !_ yes this is used thx
thanks for the comment. i should upload an update to my vids. they are so outdated lol
I would recommend Middle-click > Pop up toolbar ( which contains all my most used icons ) I also save this toolbar file on the cloud, so I can use these toolbars if I need on a new computer or if you lose it everything else I just type out till the prompt appears
sure. the click on the mouse is definitely in my workflow. I have commands both in the pop-up and hotkeys.
Is it possible to actually change the key side of things? add extra key combinations?
do you mean use multiple commands in a single shortcut?
Thanks, great videos
and after our keyboard setting has done like that, then how to save or export it like aliases???
if you go to Tools > Export Options > save to desktop.
@@jeanandre3d859 Ooh thank for your advise. now I can save my own shortcut 🤸♂
Could share the pics or where you got them? Thanks
Im struggling to do this on a Mac. Is there a way? thanks
me? personally No, I really haven't put time into working on the Mac side. I am fully aware of the limitations w this build. it gets complicated for me because I still need to access 2-3 PC-only programs to prep for production.
Thank you, thank you so much!
Hi!, i will like to know how to write this comand: !_Zoom_All_Selected in order to press one buttn to zoom the selected objet on the four windows... thanks
there isn't a one-button command using shortcut keys. the one-button solution is to find a 1 letter or, number key available in your alias list. in the end - you'd be simply hitting one key and clicking your RMB on your mouse. I hope this helps
@@jeanandre3d859 I figure it out!... it´s: !_ZSA
Thank you very much for sharing! I find your videos very useful.
i am glad i can help in a small way.
Thank you for sharing this..... It is very helpful to me and even saves time...
im glad i can help in a small way.
Just starting Rhino after 25years of Alias, so expensive and out dating. Thank you for this fruitful intro.
oh man - rhino has improved so much since v2 when i first started. with the implementation of subD modeling - it has finally become an S-Tier CAD program
aliases let you do things like this s1 - sweep1 s2 - sweep2 bu - boolean union bd - booleandifference fe - fillet edge pl - polyline ch - chamfer fc - filletcorners dc - divide curve cs - curve start ce - curve end
I know. you're 110% correct. I actually have been using dozens of new Aliases in my list, I found it just as useful in my current workflow. this video is so outdated - I do apologize. I plan to update my vids in the future and provide my newest shortcut and aliases. thank you
You should check out programmable mouses. I use razer naga trinity (there are also cheaper ones). The 12 keys on the side are commands i use very often.
yup. most definitely. also the SpaceMouse is bonkers - it can't literally eliminate 80-90% of the keyboard
@@jeanandre3d859 would be very nice to have a new video where you can show both in combination. Would be very helpfull for many who wants to improve their productivity. :)
how to transfer/copy our pre set keyboard shortcut (not alisses) from rhino 5 to rhino 6
hi. go under TOOLS, Export options in v5, then use Import options on v6 :)
I really like your Rhino content I'm looking forward for more!
i appreciate the kind words. i hope to produce more tutorials, workflows as well as timelapse videos. :)
Really liked this one, thank you!
Thanks for this beautiful Rhino 7 demonstration.
Create a face
for a face. way faster to work in zbrush then import back to rhino if needed
Nice
Thank you Jean. Now I am getting excited about Rhino 7.
how you brought so many option in popup?
can not wait tsplines , symmetry in rhino 7 thanks
exciting R7 now has subD. dream becomes reality. are the functions similar as t-splines to operate?
it's close. nothing beats t-splines. i still use R5 to this day for all my complex subD stuff
Not to ruin your party but it would be much, much faster if you had two letter shortcuts for all the commands you use. You punch in, say, TR, then space and boom, you've got it. In addition to that programs like Microstation have this system where only the left side of the keyboard is used for shortcuts - QWER, ASDF, ZXCV. No holding Ctrl or Shift at all and you don't have to reach for UIO, KL, etc.
Ho vero well done! Can you share your personal command list? Thks!!
thank you - i recently updated my alias and shortcuts. i will update the video and post a link to the entire UI... soon :)
jeanandre3D ok! I’m right doing my list now...happy to see yours!
This makes the workspace so much simple and easy to use. Thank you
great video.thanks
Love your videos, please keep it up
How do you get the command line in the top? Where you are able to say "yes" or "no" to an open og closed extrution? I only have a command space, but no "yes" and "no" options.
Very useful video. Thank you!
Is there any chance that I can use single hotkeys in Rhino 6 ? Thank you !
sauceontheside sounds awesome! Thanks mate!
Thank you very much for your tutorials. How do you create and populate a new tab next to the whats new in v6?
i plan to prepare new vids for v7
Thank you! Very helpful for architecture students like me!
im glad to help in any way. i welcome tutorial suggestions :)
Thank you, this is very useful in my non-jewelry workflow.
Thank you soooo much! Your tips are really useful and no matter that I use Rhino not for jewelry but architecture. Please more videos:)
Cool
Thanks. These short cuts not only speed up working but also allows you to work without interrupting one's focus on modeling. It's like watching a movie without commercials
Separate Snipping Snipping Tool made Copy/Print easy so I could go into Rhino Options to manually make changes off the printed sheets.
Very smart approach to working in general and brilliant method to increase speed.
Thanks Cruz - i hope you find it useful in your workflow
Jean, thanks for the great instruction.
let me know what you'd like me to demo next. and thanks for watching :)
A short video on the new features for the gumball. The current Rhino descriptions are a bit vague.
dont worry... its on the works. an full video on the tricks of the Gumball
Jean ..thank you for presenting the script by J Hammond. Can this script be saved in Rhino 6 as an app or does one have to import it each time? MJ
Mary Jane Yagi no. You have to run it every single time like I shown in the video
