Visited the Maldives in August 2022, but forgot to upload my videos to TH-cam! I posted 4 separate, daily videos on my facebook, but decided to combine a condensed version of just the highlights here.

Nudibranchs (aka Nudi's) are small sea slugs and they are EVERYWHERE in Dauin. Saw several species that I have never seen before.

Generally we are lucky to see a single seahorse or pipefish on a dive. In Dauin we saw them on pretty much every dive...and so many varieties! Amazing!!

We saw so many critters during our week in Dauin (at Atmosphere Resort) that I couldn't do just a single video of the week like I usually do...I had to break it down into smaller videos or it would be way too long. This clip is from our 2-tank trip to Apo Island, which is a small, protected island and was just a short boat ride from where we were staying.

Thank you for all the identification. I didn’t know about the black-and-white banded sea snake nor that clams could be electric and it was just great to see a like crown Elizabeth or whatever it was. Lovely lovely delightful little vicarious trip for me to see this. Thank you so much, cousin.

Great video! Since you posted this yesterday, I'm assuming you were just there. We too were there in Aug. What reefs did you dive on? You saw some great sized animals. Most of what we saw this time were smaller.
thanks! this was taken just a few weeks ago. we did lots of sites when we were there. the eagle ray towards the end was at The Lake. the squid at the beginning was on buddy's reef. we did a few sites around Klein. I have a separate video that I uploaded last week which was just Salt Pier. there was so much good stuff there, it got a video all its own!
Thanks for responding. I will watch for your videos. I am new at making videos and need to get a filter and learn some techniques but I sure love to take pics and video the fish! I'll look for your new uploads. Thanks again.
I have a go pro and a red filter from backscatter. Go pro has free software to use when editing the gopro videos, so it is fairly easy. Good luck to you!
