Yeah I can only highly recommend it! It may be Junior in size and name, but in all other aspects it’s a “mature” instrument. Made to the usual high standard of Japanese instruments.

I personally prefer the Hama - I’ve found every JMJ Mustang disappointing and a bit dull when I’ve played them (live and in shops). Of course 30” vs 34” scale makes a big difference. But as always these things are highly individual and if the JMJ speaks to you, then it’s the right bass for you!

Difficult to say one is better than the other... but I personally would keep the Dimarzio set. The bridge sound is for me the best. In the neck and both pickups combined the differences are more subtle (still noticeable). Both sets are more than decent sound and super musical.
Agreed - The Dimarzio definitely has a sweeter Bridge PUP tone. And yeah both are super musical!

so.. going into filter before compressor?
Yeah I found that worked best for me - as my compressor is always on (light compression), and as the Envelope Filter reacts on the dynamics of my playing, I want to give it the cleanest signal as possible. And the compressor after then smooths out any major spikes
