MechE LT Crypto Mining
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 31 พ.ค. 2017
I am very new to crypto mining, having just started only a few months ago. I have 8 years of advanced manufacturing experience, two A.S. degrees in Engineering Technology, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, and currently working on a M.S. in Space Systems. My vision for this channel is to create crypto mining content from the perspective of an engineer.
Meeting the Miner - Introduction and Channel Vision
I have been creating crypto mining content for a little over a month now and figured I would make a proper video where I introduce myself and discuss the vision for what I want to do with my TH-cam channel.

AC Infinity T16 Initial Review and Testing
มุมมอง 1.4K2 ปีที่แล้ว
I've been on the search for the best exhaust fan to put in my basement window to remove the hot air produced by my crypto mining rigs. I may have just found what I've been looking for with this AC Infinity 16" exhaust fan! Check out my other exhaust fan videos where I give a more in depth explanation of how the formulas work and the methods in which I'm testing the fans: Can This Cheap 12" Exha...
Ergo SAVED My 3070 TIs!
มุมมอง 5702 ปีที่แล้ว
I moved my 3070 TI rig and 3070s from Ethereum to Ergo. I discuss overclock settings and how temperature produced by my 3070 TIs was drastically reduced. #GPUMining #CondoCryptoMining #CryptoCurrency
Testing Cheap Amazon 14" Exhaust Fan Against 14" AC Infinity Fan

How to Modify a Crypto Mining Frame to Add More GPUs
มุมมอง 802 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video, I modify a mining frame I got off of FB marketplace to hold 10 GPUs instead of its intended 8 GPUs. In my next video, I'll be putting 10 3070s on the frame! DIY Adding More Power to Condo Crypto Mining Farm - Part 2
มุมมอง 442 ปีที่แล้ว
I ran out of power for the crypto mining rigs in my basement, so I extended three pre-installed circuits over to my rigs. With this expansion, I get another 6,000 watts of power to use. In part 2 of this series, I get 5 Meter Boxes installed so I can accurately track my power usage per month for each of my rigs. #GPUMining #CondoCryptoMining #CryptoCurrency #MorePower Link to Part 1: th-cam.com...

Can This Cheap 12" Exhaust Fan Actually Push 1800 CFM???
มุมมอง 3.4K2 ปีที่แล้ว
I need to start worrying about heat extraction for my mining farm. Join me as I test whether or not a 12" exhaust fan can push 1800 CFM. Video is inspired by ChumpChangeXD Mining & Crypto and his video is linked below. th-cam.com/video/X yyg7e7GU/w-d-xo.html #GPUMining #CryptoMining #CryptoCurrency #ExhaustFan #Airflow
this was a bizarre test you performed, although I appreciate the effort. I feel that the entire video was almost completely irrelevant without power consumption data. You also failed to acknowledge static pressure which impacts CFM tremendously. Basically you critiqued their published specs, but that doesn’t seem like the mission of your investigation, which would be to find an energy efficient ventilation fan. Am I correct?
Your testing of shuttered exhaust fans is flawed ! Read up on...Bernoulli's principle and how static air pressure influence's air flow in a sealed / ducted environment You are open air testing these fans ... It's like testing a sub-woofer outside of its enclosure.
So aaaaa that box is aaaa sissy…what is sissy….aaaaa
did you ever get a reply from AC infinity?
Thanks for the test ! Any idea on the noise? 50db ?
Hello. Been looking at the 10" version. I wonder if the 1800 cfm is a theoretical max based on fan pitch and rotation speed. Clearly this is way too high. Ad info suggests the 10" move ~640 cfm so maybe that's more like ~350? No worries about the sound and great work!
Watched your AC Infinity fans and saw the we are both nubies at GPU mining. Please let me know if you're up to talk... Thanks and all the best with TH-cam and mining....
Howdy -- at the 2:35 to 2:45 mark you touch one of four screws that seem to attach the fan to the square mounting with the shutters. Is it possible to disconnect the fan from the mounting and shutters? I am looking at a way to cool my attic and I would need to do that to install the fan.
never mind....i stumbled onto your channel and didn't even realize your channels name..
Thanks for the video. Looking for a fan for my garage/barn.
great video
No one is testing shutter fans Thanks gj
More content to come on fans! With how important airflow is with mining, I'm surprised there aren't more people testing this stuff.
My man 🔥
Can't wait to see how well the 16" performs! I know Hobbyist has 4 of them set up in his shed and likes them.
@@mecheltcryptomining9297 Yea cause they were free don't waste too much money on them haha check the efficiency also plz!
@@ChumpChangeXD efficiency is regards to how much CFM they put out per Watt? CFM/dollar?
One of the best cryptocurrency mining options is mining in Utopia ecosystem
keep the videos coming. I would Avoid extension cords not designed for long term heavy loads. Also the longer the cord the more hazardous it is.
Whatever rig pulls the least power is going on the extension chord, and certainly not trying to push the 15A rating at all. They are really just a bandaid to buy me some time until I can get 240V/30A run down to the basement.
Great test! Thanks for the info. Whats the "blankets" on your wall though?
That's insulation that the builder anchored to the concrete walls in my basement
@@mecheltcryptomining9297 okey thanks! thought it might have something to do with soundproofing
It would be great if you tested an electric gable roof fan that can be picked up at HD or Lowes.
You can pick up an anemometer super cheap from Amazon and try it out yourself if you want. It only cost me like $25 I think. And since airflow is so important with mining, I'll be using it for so many more projects in the future.
@@mecheltcryptomining9297 Oh! I thought those meters are really expensive.
@@MrTiger0002 nope, they're super cheap. Go check them out!
Nice job brotha, love the set up. Welcome to the rabbit hole!
Thanks dude, I'm having a blast with making videos. Any recommendations for a quality mic to get? Right now I'm just using mics built into my phone. I know you and The Hobbyist have ones that clip onto your shirt.
@@mecheltcryptomining9297 I use the rode wireless go two It is pretty expensive but totally worth it
@@ChumpChangeXD My moto is buy once, cry once
Love it dude thank you for doing this!!
No problem bro! I'm excited to see how the 14" fans stack up against eachother. Going to order them in a little bit and can prob get a video out next week.
@@mecheltcryptomining9297 Thats awesome I can add you to the bot in misfit mining for your video drops soon as you have a few videos it will discover your channel!
@@mecheltcryptomining9297 It actually found you already added!
@@mecheltcryptomining9297 I got the 18" fan from amazon calming 2000cfm I think at most its doing 1500cfm.
@@KeepUp101-j1y I got another amazon fan, but 14", and that was pushing about 60% of the claimed CFM. I have the footage for the video, just need to get it edited.
Hey guys, looks like some of the audio wasn't recorded in stereo, so sound will only be coming out of 1 speaker during some parts of the video. Sorry about that!
