If anyone is interested, I found this extensive Kamilaroi Dictionary published 1875: ia800902.us.archive.org/1/items/kmilariother00ridlrich/kmilariother00ridlrich.pdf
Thank you mate! It's important to keep ancestors culture alive, no matter where in the world we come from. It's our diversity that keeps us human. Thanks again.

Top music from a top bloke 👍
I am KAMILAROI (GAMILAROI) I don't know much about my tribe and glad to see this. I've been watching you for past week or so learning the/my language. Thanks uncle much appreciated. 🖤💛❤️

gaba
Keep it coming mob . Easy set out too.
Your version of a battle ax is closer to a wooden kukri!
Thank you so much for the video. Would you have a video on saying small sentences like what is your name??
I liked the one out Warnambool way when they were building a new highway and suddenly some trees marked for removal had aboriginal significance. Birthing trees that local aborigines had never heard of. It's just a gigantic scam run by the Marxist Greens.
This is very interesting. I think it would help your videos if you titled and introduced the videos about your culture and knowledge...
Deadly unk!✊🏾🖤💛❤️
Deadly brah

So great!!! So wonderful. Thank-you. Kamilaroi woman form Brisbane and Rockhampton communities.
Where is this ??? I what to go... I’m a kamilaroi man and would love to see what my ancestors did
did you find out where abouts - in Tamworth?
You’d be better off going to the closet town and ask the locals.
Jason: Any attempt to teach language - whether Wiradjuri, Bandjalang, Gomeroi/Gamilaraay, Yuin, Ngiyampaa, Dharug - and to whatever extent is possible - is the most important positive step to breathe life back into the language. I recall a few years back some cultural tours in the Tamworth area (where I grew up in the 1950s and first part of the 1960s, in fact) led by Gomeroi elder Len WATERS. He used language when making smoking ceremony and as we approached some very significant ceremonial/rock art sites. I attended the funeral in Wagga Wagga some years back of one of my students (when I was teaching at Macintyre High in 1975) Mr A BONEY - at the graveside ceremony following the church farewell his first-born of the same name sang his father's departure to the stars in language. More than moving. Just a week ago my wife and I were entering the Sydney Botanic Gardens near the Opera House - where the little trains await tourists. I heard some violin playing coming from the corner of the Bennelong Memorial Garden section and looked through the fence following the sound. It was, I later found out, Ngiyampaa man Eric AVERY. (With Gumbangirr, Bandjalang and Yuin ancestry. He sang in Ngiyampaa, too. Your efforts are magic! Jim KABLE
I’m a aboriginal that’s why I’m watching this video
Dhirabuu Garru.
I would like to get a sign language of my tribe the Kamilaroi please because i am deaf.
I don’t think there are enough deaf Aboriginal people who sign in the first place. And I doubt anyone would sign in Aboriginal language at all.. you could be waiting a very long time if not for ever. I don’t think it’s going to happen.. best you can do is spell out the written words on the screen. I was told people make up sign language to describe certain words or nouns..
merci pour cette vidéo en se moment j'aprend votre langue que j'aime beaucoup, je les signaler a une asos pour préserver la langue
No one speaks the way they spoke 40,000 years ago in any language but it it a shame that it isn't widely spoken I would love to learn
yes my ....is from the some tribe
she loves that buzzing sound
she loves that buzzing sound
she loves that buzzing sound
Lets encourage every effort to speak, write, sing, publish in Gamilaraay. Jason good work mate. Where can I find perfect speaker of Gamilaraay? Language is that what we use as communication. it is sometimes good sometimes bad, sometimes correct sometimes incorrect. But is is our language. I don't speak perfect Gamilaraay but I am trying. Should I try to publish? Yaluu maliyaa Gamilaraay.
I think just keep trying to perfect it yourself first and use it in as many social/formal/informal contexts as you can> The more we USE our language the better it will be. This action rubs off on others (leading by example) and will hopefully encourage ALL people to learn and adapt Aboriginal Languages into their everyday lives. My goal is for everyone to speak (and at the very least respect) Kamilaroi language, learning it is a personal endeavour for me to keep my culture alive. If I can get white fellas using simple terms like 'Yaama' or 'Murri' (as a start) I know i'm on the right track!
Much as I appreciate you for teaching Kamilaroi and for putting up this video, it is not appropriate that native pronunciation of the words is NOT being used. What we hear is a distorted anglicised pronunciation in accordance to the English alphabet, with a few words being actually wrongly pronounced. Kindly replace the video with correct native pronunciation. You will be doing a great service to Kamilaroi. It will be good to have a standard form of pronunciation for Kamilaroi. Thank you.
+Sathiaseelan Thavasy Thanks for watching the video, all Kamilaroi pronunciation is all by local Elders in the Tamworth NSW area. I just filmed and edited the video for local school Teachers teaching Kamilaroi cultural studies.
You should put up a Video
You should put up a video
Doesn't exist anymore, no one is talking how they did 40,000 years ago. Most Indigenous Australian languages are not in wide use.
I'm from tamworth and the man in the video is my uncle. The true language of gamilaroi would be impossible to obtain these days because all the full blood true aboriginals died a few years ago. And yes I spelt it 'Gamilaroi' because if you had any idea the traditional language has no letter "k"
Hope to visit here one day.
That's awesome. I participate in Relay for Life every year. We will find a cure!
Excellent shooting and editing - good first performance by leading lady and good supporting cast.
The place looks amazing.
A very brave lady !!!! Loved the Military style Barber
