I only found out about this project now that I've just printed my first OpenRC 2017. I already had a list of improvements to make when I found this project of yours and I fell in love. I'm going to start building it now!
Well this makes the 3rd 3D printed rc model I want to make. Building the original OpenRC F1 right now and then I’m gonna be working on Patrik Jackmass ARES trophy truck. I’m enjoying the scale realism you have put into this project. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!

Why dont you make the 2022 regulation f1 car and i might be able to help with undertray aero since i have been designing floors for my project aswell.

A doubt. How much can it cost to print the entire model excluding the file cost?
It all depends on what setup you choose, the cost of shipping and taxes. There is no definite answer here, however, people on our discord are talking the most about the $300-400 range

Hi, I am very interested in this. I wa checking all the link you provided on the cults, it says pla/petg,tpu. Is it possible to print this just with PLA. I am not planning on using this as RC car, just a static model. And is it possible to print it without using any parts to make this RC car. Thank you
Hi, if You want just standing version You can print whole car from PLA. Parts printed from petg are exposed on heat or damage, so the must be better then PLA :P Yes there'll be standing version released as update in near future! You'll have to buy only screws, ball ends and some bearings :D

How fast is it? Hard to tell in the video.
Most of the time drives around 30/50kmh, but in the speed runs it can go up to 80km/h.

Are the tires printed or are they production tires? I'm just curious if you cracked the code on a filament that actually produces a good tire with grip?
I think that, with standard 95 TPU for example, tinkering with the settings in the printing process may give you beter results , depending on the temps and speed mainly.
@@diegomaartinezz Maybe. I've printed quite a bit of sainsmart 95A tpu for drone stuff and it never felt like it would be grippy like a rubber RC car tire. I also got a spool of Esun tpe 83a recently and while it is softer it still feels slick when printed.
That looks pretty stunning! Love the aero work you've done and I can definitely agree it is effective at rc scale if you have a printer and some general aero knowledge. I'm printing a flat floor with side skirts, my 5th revision so far for my Rlaarlo AK787, I've got a nice rear diffuser I designed for it that's actually functional and the front splitter I designed has two diffuser tunnels as well. It drives so much better and I can measure difference in my tire temperatures after I'm done running. Front tires are now matching temps of the rears pretty closely. Before the aero the front tires were always cooler than the rears.
