i changed the relays but my problem is when i turn the car on the fan come on and stay on until i turn the car off it doesn't run hot and i have no engine light i changed out the pressure temperature sensor and the water or coolant sensor still got the same problem i have not checked other than inplugging it the fan switch any suggestions i have a 2010 Hyundai Tucson there are hardly any videos on this car

This isn't testing the switch, it's testing the fan and or circuit relay. To test the switch you'll need an ohm meter and check reading per spec'd resistance. They're so cheap just replace with a new one.

i did everything you said and went out and bought a new cooling fan switch, but the fans still do not come one when the car (rav4) heats up? so now what do i do?

my fan is working only in the 1st scale and i cant see it going to second scale speed anymore ..the resuld is the the car is overheating little and takes a while to cool down so any ideas what it would be?? ill do the test that i see here to check it anyway

My aircomditioner fan is working but the radiator fan isn't. I checked all the fuses today and none of them are burnt. I haven't checked the fan switch yet, are there other things that I have to check?

aglasser I think he is right, if the fan is not coming on when the engine is red hot yet it comes on with that little bit of wire, then either you contacts are dirty or the sender is naff,,, Most of us do this test for sure,,, Cheers, Pete

pull the chime relay its one plug unit

It would be much safer to test the fan using an insulated and (properly) fused jumper cable that you connect while the ignition is off. Then, just pop the fuse in to test it or turn the ignition on (and A/C on) to test the fan. This way the wire is insulated, you're not fiddling with it when your hands are near the fan, and the fuse would blow if there were any overloads.
