Thanks for posting apppproduction. My sister was in Paris at the time and fortunate enough to see the show. If only I could have.....!

Those few weeks were very important for them. They not only did the shows and have photoshoots, but they went into the studio in Paris and recorded German language versions of She Loves You and I Wanna Hold Your Hand. As there was still studio time they also recorded a new song, 'Can't Buy Me Love'. As if that wasn't enough, it was here that they heard that I Wanna Hold Your Hand had reached Number 1 in the USA and they were also joined by the writer commissioned to do the screenplay for their forthcoming film, who went around with them and decided that the film should tell the story of a day in their madcap life preparing for a show. From Paris they went almost straight to America and on their return, spent a week writing songs for the start of filming of A hard Day's Night. Incredible.

Very cool pictures at the Olympia. I didn't know they played such a long engagement in Paris. And then they'd go to New York and everything changed.

I think John and Paul went to Paris earlier. They called themselves the Nurk Twins

I'm a fan from way back and I've visited Paris twice. I wish I would have thought of visiting this location. I missed out. Boo!

I heard there were a lot more boys fans of the Beatles in Paris and that they preferred the wilder stuff they played. They didn't care much for the lovey-dovey songs the Beatles played a lot in their earlier years.
