You would love Sleep Token. The whole Take Me Back to Eden album. I'm a huge Killswitch fan since 2001 and I finally got to see them open in 2021 for Slipknot. Holy Crap!
Dude STFU and play the song
Fantastic reaction to an absolute masterpiece. Thank you!
Hey thanks 🙏
Yeessssss your voice sounds so good
you think so? Noo 😂 thanks though
they only had one black singer this is him howard jones
Yes I was confused
Good stuff!!👍
Great reaction mate. Look forward to more Slipknot. May I suggest Pantera
My guy you deserve a sub and I'm subbed to zero reactors. I actually prefer tge rawness of Alive Or Just Breathing KSE but still love Howards stuff too. If you like this dude check out Reject Yourself
Wow thank thank you
My guy. Do Devin Townsend if you don't already know him. Live at the Royal Albert Hall is pretty badass, specifically Deadhead.
I loved your reaction! Of course, you must hear Bill Medley, thr other Righteous Brother. (Bill is still singing, and I saw him last month!). They really treated their songs with respect and sincerity. Legends! Do listen to You’ve Lost That Lovin Feeling, Soul and Inspiration, and whatever else you can find! Bill won a Grammy for I’ve Had the Time of My Life in thr late ‘89s. Enjoy!
Great reaction. Do Arms of Sorrow , official music video !!!
No one sang this better than he did. I was in high school when he sang this song on the Andy Williams show in 1965. He owns this song. He's such an awesome singer. You need to check out their other songs with him and Bill Medley. Awesome dual! 💖 ❤❤
Had to dig to find this.
The lyrics that these guys put forward are not simple words, they have a strong, deep meanings, all of which require the listener to think deeply about the songs. The more you listen to them the more you realise what the lyrics mean. Slipknot, especially, have tremendous depth. The music is a way to bring that emotion out for you. There are a great deal of songs by these guys that are incredible. Nightwish is another like that. As is Sabaton, Helloween... etc.
Rock Opera, baby.
Pink Floyd will bump up your views. Promise.
Your reaction is fun to watch. Great job.
A live, flawless performance by an amazing talent. RIP Bobby!
What you said!! I agree!! 👍👍
Thanks 🙏
Bobby Hatfield was a countertenor. His vocal range started at baritone and covered several octaves up to what could only be called a high soprano. There was no falsetto in his performance here, not even that last note. A voice like that usually winds up doing opera. Bobby preferred soul.
Very interesting thank you
Bobby ended here sharp of G5. 🤩
Bobby was a tenor/counter tenor. They were known as "blue eyed soul" it was a live performance, Andy Williams show 1965. No retakes, no autotune, bobby just his natural voice. His range of octave (s), was off the scale. He is dearly missed, but his 🎶 is still us.
I'm glad you liked it. Meat Loaf is so versatile. The whole "Bat out of hell" album is a masterpiece. All the songs are written by genius songwriter and composer Jim Steinman. They met when both worked at a Broadway theatre in the 1960s. Steinman was fascinated by Meat's voice and hired him for a musical he had written. They became livelong friends. Meat always considered himself more as an actor than as a singer. His live performances are pure rock opera. Steinman called his music style Wagnerian Rock - Rock mixed with the bombastic sound of a Wagner opera. If you like consider to react to the whole album. It's one of the best selling albums of all time. "Bat out of hell" is the title song, a real banger. And imho "For crying out loud" is one of most beautiful love songs of all time. In any case Meat can take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. ❤😊
Awesome and beautiful!
Thanks for watching’
Someone made a TH-cam short where they took out the music. So you basically hear him singing A Cappella. Listening to him sing this song without music shows that he never needed the background music. His voice alone is so melodious and beautiful that he was his own music. Too bad it was done as a one minute short. It was amazing to hear it that way.
Cool thanks
I would love to see that!
@@susanfigueroa872 I found the whole song. Go to TH-cam search. Put in Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody Isolated Vocals. It'll have Bobby's black and white picture. I found that one to be the best quality. The others (at least the ones I listened to) sounded a bit fuzzy.
The short is probably taken from this episode of Wings of Pegasus where Fil analyzes Bobby's performance. Enjoy! th-cam.com/video/Bj7k05JyHqs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UehNGsGB4qI5t7qo
The Andy Williams Show- Episode #4.5 Episode aired Oct 25, 1965 Robert Lee Hatfield (August 10, 1940 - November 5, 2003) Bobby Hatfield, who had a higher counter tenor voice to Bill Medley’s, William Thomas Medley (born September 19, 1940) baritone, sang lead on this track. It was his idea to record it, since Medley and Hatfield were each allowed to choose a song to sing as a solo vocalist on their albums. As Medley tells it, Hatfield knew the song well, and was a big fan of the Roy Hamilton and Al Hibbler versions of the song. *In Nov. 2003 Hatfield died of a heart attack at age 63. The Righteous Brothers version was a huge hit, but it was recorded with far more modest expectations. Phil Spector considered it album filler and released it as a B-side. The single had "Unchained Melody," with no producer credit on the label, as the flip to Gerry Goffin and Carole King's "Hung on You," but many DJs preferred "Unchained Melody" and played that one instead. This infuriated Spector, who subsequently left no doubt (actually calling DJs telling them to play “Hung On You” not “Unchained Melody “)as to which side of a Philles single was the A-side. * The famous climax of this song where Bobby Hatfield sings the high "I need your love" line wasn't how the song was written. In an interview with Bill Medley, he explained that Hatfield did two takes of the song, then left. He would often reconsider his performance and come back later to change it, and that's what he did on this track, returning to ask Medley if he could make an edit. This was no easy task, since with a maximum of four tracks to work with, you had to record over part of the original take, but Medley accommodated and Hatfield delivered that soaring vocal line. Said Medley: "I punched that in and he left. He said, 'No, I can do it better.' And I said, 'No, you can't.' [Laughs] And I think it's a big part of that song." * This was released on Philles Records, Phil Spector's label. Spector, known for his "Wall Of Sound" technique, did not produce this - Bill Medley did. In a 2007 statement to the Forgotten Hits newsletter, Medley said: "You have to remember that I was producing our stuff before Phil Spector... I mean I produced 'Little Latin Lupe Lu,' 'My Babe' and all that stuff. Then when we went with Phil, Phil asked me if I would produce the albums because it was too time consuming for him to produce the entire albums. So he was going to do the singles and I would do the album. And so that's how that happened and that's how I produced 'Unchained Melody,' which Phil Spector apparently now takes credit for. He can have the credit. And I'm not a producer. I know how to produce. But it's obviously not a Spector production. 'Unchained Melody' was never intended to be the single... it was produced to be on the album. It was put on the B side of a Phil Spector single 'Hung On You' and the minute it was released 'Unchained Melody' just went through the roof." Hatfield’s rendition of “Unchained Melody” although not the original, is the ‘gold standard’.
Wow thanks for this.
No one today can sing at all compared to the music of my time.
This is the late great Bobby Hatfield one half of the Righteous Brothers. This is considered the greatest television live performance of all time! Bobby owns this song! Bill Medley is the other half of the duo. They sang the original version of You've Lost that Lovin'Feelin which was the most played song in the history of American radio and television in the 20th century and beyond! Their harmonies are insane.
Thanks
Another live performance that is a must see to believe is "Frankenstein" by the Edgar Winter Group. It will blow you away!
Calls himself a music snob then lets the perception of band be why he’s never listened. A music snob instantly gets Slipknot. A drop 8th with a 2/4 and 1/2 progression. It’s literally original jazz with modern equipment
I didn’t let THE perception of a band be why I didn’t listen. I didn’t like “wait and bleed” I still don’t. They weren’t quite up to par with the bands I listen to, so I disregarded them entirely. that’s the definition of being a music snob.
Guitar solo is complete crazy and very hard
Awesome! Life long Knot fan here, or as you'll come to learn... Maggot... can I suggest Disasterpiece live in London 2002 and Spit it out Live at download 2009! New sub!
one band not to skip pass is sabaton. if you into history, you be a sabaton fan in no time at all...
Welcome to Procol Harum, my favourite band of all time. So sad Gary Brooker passed away last year. They have many great songs and must be the most underrated band of all time ,deserved far ore credit.Maybe try A Salty Dog if you want to do more Procol Harum on here.
Wonderful reaction. Very natural, meanwhile entertaining as well. Good work.
Oh thanks that’s encouraging
you should react to some of doja older music’s like woman, like that, need to know and say so she a very versatile artist
Oh I thought she was brand new. How long has she been out? I
@@RossIsWatching She blew up 4 years ago but she was making music since 2014
@@ilyass.2005 oh wow.
A lot of metal has a message lyrics in metal are super important
Yes I’m learning that
I love how much fun you are having discovering Slipknot I've been listening since 2002 when I was 11 lol
Yes, I remember back then everyone around me was into it, and I just outright refused to give it a chance, I don’t know why lol it wasn’t just slip knot either I had my handful of bands and that was it.
You want your ass kicked? Try Solway Firth, People = Shit, Disaterpiece and Custer
"No Life", "My Plague", and "Purity" lol
Oh boy sounds like I might end up in the hospital lol
This (along with Duality and Before I Forget) are their 3 biggest commercial hits from their 'mid' period Its a huge rabbithole - Corey and the boys do nu metal, heavy metal, hardcore, rock, ballads, rap, everything Saw them at Download in the UK 3 months ago, 100,000 people in a field watching them headline the Sunday of the festival, it was epic Prepare for some very angry music (Disasterpiece, People = Shit, Heretic Anthemn, SIC, Eyeless and loads more from their early days, Left Behind is an epic video too! Some rap with Spit It Out (watch the Download 2009 version), No Life and more See their softer side with Vermillion, Snuff Their newer stuff since 2019 has a load of bangers - Nero Forte, Unsainted, Solway Firth, Dying Song and latest single Yen (which really grows on you!) Enjoy
Huh. It’s cool that there’s a lot of music to check out.
Maybe if u want to hear more cleen vocals, but still heavy song check from them The devil in I
I will Thank you..
What song should I do next? I love Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Tool, Metallica, rage, sound garden, audioslave but beyond that I am very picky and dislike most bands labeled as “Metal.” What songs can change my mind?
Awesome job! I havent used my guitar since I was younger was always slightly to big and awkward to hold. Prob needs new strings and to be tuned again. Love the story about chris cornell! You should do more cover songs!
You are a man of many talents! 👏🏻
A man of half ass talents yes lol
