I've been composing a collection of Piano Etudes in different time signatures. Each etude has a different student in mind, but they have also been useful for me as I try to get back in shape. I finished this one a couple of weeks ago. When all of them are finished, and sufficiently rehearsed, I will post them again.

This is my last little improvisation of 2024. I spent a significant part of the year unable to play piano due to an injury. The last few months have been spent rebuilding my relationship with my instruments. Here's to a peaceful and productive 2025. Cheers!

I composed this little prelude yesterday. It's part Scriabin and part jazz without really being either.

I composed this piece from the start of October to the beginning of November. I was trying to capture a mood a strange, shifting dance between light and dark, ending in a stumble toward normalcy, a return to where it belongs.

In my free time I enjoy composing music for video games that don't exist. I also enjoy making meaningless videos of abstract landscapes.

This is just a nonsense eurorack patch. The rain was coming down pretty hard. I was playing with extended cadences in deforum. This wasn't something that seemed obvious before. I'm playing two different bass lines and the piano parts, a few analogue synths and a modular synthesizer. All to make some video game gibberish. The video was rendered in automatic1111 using the Deforum extension. I used Parseq to create a JSON file that directs all of the changing parameters inside stable diffusion.
