7:39, short head biceps articulates at coracoid process. Long head articulates at supraglenoid tubercle.
Forgot to mention, around 7:30, I go over biceps brachii originations. This is different from brachialis. Brachialis originates closer to distal portion of the anterior humerus and inserts near the coronoid process of the ulna. Brachialis muscle still flexes the forearm at the elbow but, doesn’t supinate like the biceps brachii Biceps brachii flexes the shoulder - due to its bi-articulate nature (influences 2 joints) Brachialis is uni-articulate and influences 1 joint (elbow joint). Performing mostly elbow flexion. Just wanted to clear this up.
6:30 , interesting , rowing , would you recommend to a patient as one fo the best for cardio / warm up ? thank you
How did you decide to get into Physical Therapy / strength coach ? it's very specific field. Please share the professional competitions , how did you place ? Thanks for the workout videos , and hello from Miami , FL 🌴
@Jaang29, thanks for the comment and for watching! Hope you enjoyed it. I decided to go into physical therapy to help restore others’ physical function. This field is a great blend of utilizing strength and conditioning within the medical field. More videos to come around powerlifting.
0:28, sarcomere is muscle cell
@2:53, I meant to divide front to back for coronal plane. Abduction at the glenohumeral joint is most easily observed from that plane.

I stumbled upon this and I really like your explanation. This got me thinking of my everyday movements and exercises. How do I reduce my risk of injury during compromising positions of an exercise? Like a pullup, for example, has both concentric and eccentric movement. Is starting from a state of isometry to eccentric., aka a gravity pullup, less at-risk for injury? Rather than a regular pull up, which has both concentric then eccentric movement. Some definitions I learned : isometric : no significant change in muscle lengths concentric: muscle shortening under tension eccentric: muscle lengthening under tension
@@ShortSnoph thanks for the comment! To reduce risk of injury, oftentimes a good idea is to find an entry point to a movement and build. Compensation to a movement can occur due to inhibition of muscles and fatigue. I would strive to complete pull-ups through a full range of motion with control, regressing and progressing when needed. Hope this helps.
