First Saints game I ever attended
Aaron Brooks was the man in this game.
The Bucs got robbed on the Bert Emanuel catch. Totally Rigged game!
I can't watch. Hakim fumbles.
Bert Emmanuel caught that pass
There is a strange connection with the Rams and Tampa. The Rams always seem to have to face Tampa on the way to the Super Bowl. In 1979, The Rams had to play Tampa on their way to losing to the Steelers. There there was this game and the last one was with Stafford. All the games with Tampa in the playoffs are HARD fought and close.
1999-2000 Rams was one of the best teams in history!😊
That’s was my first saints playoff game in 2000 I was-19 years old I’m glad we won our first playoff game in saints history ⚜️
Rams should’ve won
It took us 22 years, but we got our second Lombardi. Go Rams!
Yessir rams all day
THEY CHEATED THE BUCS OUT OF A SUPER BOWL. THAT WAS A CATCH.
Did you watch the video all the way through? The NFL Director of Officiating even said at the time if the ball hit the ground it was incomplete. They change the rule after this game, but it at the time the ruling was correct.
What an absolutely ridiculous call on Burt's catch and the explanation is even more absurd😂🤣
For anyone unfamiliar with the situation, the Saints had never won a playoff game in their long history as they came into this game. THe Rams were expected to runover the luckless Saints. In the final minutes the Saints had a slim lead ... but were needing to punt the ball back to a potent Rams offense. Every Saints fans were sure the Rams had enough time to score and tie, or, more likely, score to wina here wasn't going to be enough time left for the Saints to score in reply. Same old Saints. And then ... Hakim muffed the punt and the Saints recovered. Saints won! Who'd a thunk it? 😉
One of the greatest games in NFL history thanks for posting 👍
Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, Isaac Bruce, and Tori Holt brought much excitement to St. Louis. The NFL received their team for the large TV market of L.A. but St. Louis should not have been penalized doing so. An expansion team should have been awarded to St. Louis. St. Louis was ready to build a new stadium and an owner would have been found to make contribution. To move it took Stan Kroenke signing an indemnification agreement to compensate NFL owners in the event of any St. Louis lawsuits, which did then follow.
John lynch how can i get back at the Rams…ill become GM on the niners
Best game i ever watched live
They need to bring back NFL game of the week.
That was an amazing game. So much happened... the two best defenses in the NFC showing why they earned that ranking, Warner's horrible day erased by one perfect pass, the CATCH by Bert Emanuel being incorrectly reversed by the incompetent replay officials (to the point where the NFL actually had to specify in the rule book "If a guy has two hands on the ball, full control of it, and the tip of the ball grazes the ground while he maintains full control of it the entire time, then yes it IS a catch, you numpties!"), and the Rams barely surviving in the end.
This Bucs defense was one of the best in history. Probably better than their Super Bowl winning defense a few years later. To hold the Greatest Show on Turf to 11 points in the Edward Jones Dome is a feat for the ages. I was a Redskins fan whose team fell to the Bucs 13-14 the week before. Their defense was good that game but they played better against the Rams. They rose to the occasion.
The Redskins, if memory serves, had a chance to go up 16-14 on a late FG but the snapper's snap was so bad the holder couldn't get the ball spotted and the kicker never got a chance to kick it.
They almost overcame a 24 point deficit, in the 4th quarter. I always wonder what would happen if az hakim doesn't fumble the punt. Does St. Louis tie, or win the game? Do they still lose? If they win, how far in the postseason do they go? They would've faced the giants in the divisional round. They beat them in the regular season
As a life long Bucs fan, this is my favorite game we ever lost. Held the Greatest Show on Turf to 11 where as they were RUNNING up the score on everyone else they played that year. Sucks for us but it was a great game.
And if the refs don't blow the call on that CATCH by Bert Emanuel, the Bucs have a good chance of pulling out the win. This is coming from a Rams fan, BTW.
It's sweet to hear the honesty after all these years..Honest fans even get bothered when the opposing team gets robbed because it sours the victory. @@dentonyoung4314
Horribly overproduced
Nobody could beat those Rams. Except maybe those Bucs. They were the only team that seemed to have their number.
This game is way better on NFL films; because it was a low scoring defensive domination. A 1 yard stuff run is boring broadcast but fun as hell with NFL films cam zoom up slow mo. Most tackles even in 2022 NFL films are train wrecks. Even Netflix series Quarterback; with ALL those QB protection rules, they're getting pummeled. Need more NFL Films weekly broadcasts on prime time because everyone old is under the illusion that they don't hit anymore.
This is a bucs hit pieces; all video long, he talking like the BUCS didn't have the #1 defense in the league that year & highlighting rams plays like they was underdogs when they were the favorites. And that bullshit booth review at the end provides the NFL wanted the Rams to Win!
If Bucs had just an below avg offense they win this game with that defense.
RAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1999-2002 the bucs rams rivalry was epic. Rams was always tearing up the league with their offense but that bucs defense always gave them hell and the saints were another team that gave the rams hell also
In what world was that not a catch by Burt Emmanuel?
In a world where I. C. Nothing is the replay official. Remember, the NFL had horrible officials during this era. One of them even managed to botch a coin toss and they had to change the procedures for how they do the coin flip to prevent the officials from effing it up like that ever again.
I run this offense now this will make u call your mom crying with chiefs more speed and explosiveness
The narrator makes an error. #24 was not Donnie Abraham (#21). It was Damian Robinson
Lovie smith @ 2:00 that was dope
RIP Steve White #94 Tampa Bay
What until Jan 23 2022 when got a RAMS buccaneers playoff round 3 that was just as good
I was in my college apartment with my buddies when Proehl made that catch. We went absolutely crazy. What a great year and team that was.
59:58 “This didn’t age well”
I was in attendance for this game and what a game when Ricky Proel caught the game winning TD I thought the Dome would explode off
Super bowl 34 should have been bucs vs titans
The fix was in
Lmao
Didn’t nobody wanted to see no damn bucs in no Super Bowl that team was mediocre they just hate a good defense lol titans would’ve destroyed them 😂
The narrator said quarterback Sean King native of Tampa Bay... merman? Born in the water? I am Cringing every time someone says Tampa "Bay"Buccaneers. Is it because of Green Bay they put bay on the end of tampa, does anyone know?
Just to give the team a bigger fan base. It gives St. Petersburg and the other surrounding cities a team to feel is their own also.
Us bucs fans got robbed in this game 😤😤😤😤💯💯💯💯
How did they get robbed? Did Bert Emmanuel “catch” the ball in the endzone? The bucks still needed a td. Something’s they hadn’t s I recall day, and most likely still would have.
Wouldn’t m have*
One of the most intense games I have watched. The Buccaneers offense was the difference in the game. They wasted so many chances.
this buccs offense was trash if it was better buccs win atleast 2 rings
Most lethal and explosive offense of that year facing off against the most lethal defense in that year. I know a lot of people reallly look at the 2000 rams as them in their prime, but I really do think in 99 they were on another lvl. They had for sure the best and most complex offense, and they had a great defense as well. I do think the greatest show on turf despite any records or accolades future teams may have broken or surpassed was the best offense of all time, when you factor in that this was a different era of football and the fact the game has evolved since then
fact
Where's the full game
playoff rematch 22 yrs later
Who is here for the rematch?
If the bucs only had a QB to go with that defense
that why they benched dilfer dimes
The 2000 Draft, they had the chance to Draft Brady!🤦♂️
if the officials hadn't had an attack of blindness on that CATCH by Bert Emanuel...
That game was ours we just shot our selves in the foot, calling that timeout and mainly Shaun king just horrible the Winston before Winston. Hopefully we get another crack at the Rams in the playoffs.
Ricky Proehl saves the day for the Rams.
