Lol. My fist bike was an early ts! Stripped it to within aninch of its life and rode the shit out of it. Such a fun and bullet proof little bike!
Dude that was............EPIC!❤
Great ride thanks guys. Was completly wrecked and dehydrated and about 10 years older when i got home. Daryl.
Lazy cunt is a killer it’s defeated me in the past haha all in all was a great day and was good to meet you and the other boys I didn’t know
Sick track mate you weren’t muck in around aye cheers
Can’t piss around with these boys they leave you behind then you never get a rest haha
@ hehe yep my mates do the same sh1t you’d think there’s a trophy and a million bucks at the end of the track ,nup just 6 fat sweaty blokes outa breath hehe
@@tazyt3388😂
Nice ride what’s your go to bang for buck rear tyre? I’ve just been using a Bridgestone x31 ($170) which is a bit hard but lasts a while with decent grip on 4psi.
I don’t think there is a bang for buck tyres anymore it used to be the shinko 525 cheater but even they are around the $200 mark. I’m using a old ibex I had laying around from 2023 its working really well in these conditions specially in the rocks
@ haha yeah no more bang for buck anymore! How many hours riding do you get out of 525 cheater?
@@chrispenney4141 I’d get about 30-40 hours from one but starts getting bloody hard going in winter with a tyre that old😂
Nice ride. Subscribed ✅🇨🇦
nice track what country is this ?
Hey mate this is just out of Wellington New Zealand
Nice video 👌🏻
Cool track nice vid
Where is that !! 🫠
Just out of Wellington
Is the river crossing at 18.12 on a track off 257 track?
Tbh mate I don’t remember where that is at all. If I got to it again today I’d remember the crossing but that’s it haha idk how these guys remember where all the tracks are that we ride
@ all good It’s good fun finding the tracks anyway just found the sketchy track with the big drop that goes from pram track across the river to a track of rimu rd the other day. Maybe called knife edge track.
@ skinny as ridge “knife edge” steep drop to river then up a open ridge on the other side? That’s a great track if you go left once up out of the river there’s another climb called pig track that’s a lot harder than the main track out
@ yeah that’s the one I went for a walk up that side she’s pretty steep!
Notice any power increase from the expansion chamber?
Yes more power right from the bottom all the way through I thought it might kill the bottom end and have a big hit at the top but it ended up being perfect
Akatarawa track. Great memories from when I was but a youngin. 😊
Akatarawa track. Great memories from when I was but a youngin. 😊
.
just wanna say youre the only guy i go to, to watch vintage 2 stroke woods riding content. great videos all around
@@laydenclark8806 I appreciate that mate, this year has been very slow but I will be getting back into it this summer. Plenty more videos to come.
That was way too rough of a trail
Brrraaaappp!!
😊❤
Where’s the entry to this track?
If you go through the 3rd crossing from karapoti side keep to the left at the next intersection follow that road to next intersection stay right then you next right and stay to the right again you’ll end up riding a nasty little single track upto the intersection that this video starts on
I hope that makes some sense haha are you on the hutt valley hard enduro page/chat?
If that single track is rocky at the start I think I know where your talking about. Na not on any pages
@@chrispenney4141it is yes I’d join the group if your on face book a lot of guys on there that would be more than happy to hit the trail with you
I had a 88&96 KDX200 and a ts185 in my Collection. The ts I was given when I bought a gokart the ts185 are so Comfortable to ride. I liked the 88 air cooled kdx more than the new one.
More videos please with TS 185.
I might get out on the old girl tomorrow 💪🏻 will see how I go
Fresh rubber. That things gonna climb everest now!
Climbs like a boss but dosnt turn so well haha priorities on point 😅
As a KX500 owner and rider of many years , Good Vid Guys lol..
As a future 400-500cc owner I thank you😅
I have a 79 ts250er and its a monster can take it anywhere
I’d love to get a 250 but I don’t have any room for more bikes haha
Poor little ts185 , I used to have one and have been looking for another one but they are bringing strong money over here in the UK
They are getting hard to find and expensive everywhere mate seems like Australia got bulk of the stock haha always for sale over the ditch
I had one ,it never failed me deep mud , deep water it just kept going I've got a beta now but i do miss the old ts185 . My legs aren't long enough for modern trail bikes but I still ride with a smile on my face.
Capable in your hands sir. Just grabbed a regd wof 1998 ts185er here in Nelson. Tidy enough. Need to take road tyres off it. Might take it on dusty butt 1k next year as a hoot
Lucky bugger I’d love a legal ts I was going to try get my 79 ds80 registered again but it’s way to hard to get parts
Wicked stuff :0 where is this ?
This along with 95% of the riding on the channel is about 30 minutes north of Wellington been in there for 5+ years and still discovering new tracks
Best ride I've seen in a long time, on you tube... There is a universal sign when passing riders from the opposite direction,, hold up the number of riders behind you on left hand with last rider showing fist, spread the word and keep up the good work :)
Sending it!
Watching on my phone so I could be wrong but it looked like your bike pulled harder than the rm400 in 95% of situations. Weight, suspension, tyres advantage to the modern bike...
You’d be correct I’m on my 2013 250sx first ride on it in about 3 years and it definitely has more in the top end/longer gears than the 400 but 33 years of technology definitely helps haha
Wow What a sick spot!
So cool.🎉
Absolute beast
Saw it
Tight n steep mate gotta luv that kinda challenge bloody pretty spot too good effort cheers
I used a motoz arena hybrid gummy for the Korito Technical Matrix and struggled more than usual, next weekend I couldn't even get up Gearbox without pushing and some rolling around on the ground and I usually just blast straight up it.
Yea I’ll never get one again they aren’t suited for my kind of riding area
@@theboysadventures9956 what do you normally run?
I've been riding with the motoz arena hybrid gummy for a while now.....maybe that's why I'm sucking?! :) Won't have anything to do with my fitness or anything........
@@merlinmaertz3619 I’m usually using a mx33,525 cheater or kenda ibex but I’m leaning more towards what evers cheapest atm everything is so bloody expensive
@@merlinmaertz3619😅
Did you have to change the jetting with the pipe. It sounds so good. Love 70s bikes but the sound of a late 80s bike sounds so much better imo.
I’d been playing with the jetting with the stock pipe and landed on something that happened to work with this pipe so I kind of got lucky
I am delighted with that ts fighting, more videos of the ts 185 suddenly adjusting the engine, adjusting the flapper something,
Cual es tu instagram?
Nice trails!!!!!
You have inspired me to arrange a ag- nationals over here in oz. I will be on a mighty ts of course.
I love to hear it I’d 100% attend if I could
100% awesome
Think I know where your heading at 21:19.
The sign on the way down said supercharger it’s the first time iv found it it’s still a little wet and slippery where I stopped and didn’t want to dig holes so thought I’d leave it till I’m on the big bike 😊
We just ride in the dunes from himatangi beach
How do you get down there
sweet old bike and some great riding mate 😎🍺
I appreciate it thanks. Can’t beat working and experimenting on old bikes
Was it better then stock ?
Yes better power throughout the rev range I’m very surprised and happy with it
@@theboysadventures9956nice I’ve gutted my tf chamber but continplating something simular 👌
I did the same thing it was an improvement but not as good as this pipe there are some guys that make really nice pipes on fb if you have $600+ to spend but if your handy with a grinder and welder and you can get your hand on a old pipe for cheap you may as well give it a go
why the hell arent these bikes being sold in america i want one 😭
They are a hell of a good time😊
im from australia and just got a 1982 running and its off its head
You guys are lucky you have so many more bikes and parts available in aus than nz
Thats what i call dirts bikes 👌🏼👍🏼
