Poor little ts185 , I used to have one and have been looking for another one but they are bringing strong money over here in the UK
They are getting hard to find and expensive everywhere mate seems like Australia got bulk of the stock haha always for sale over the ditch
I had one ,it never failed me deep mud , deep water it just kept going I've got a beta now but i do miss the old ts185 . My legs aren't long enough for modern trail bikes but I still ride with a smile on my face.
Capable in your hands sir. Just grabbed a regd wof 1998 ts185er here in Nelson. Tidy enough. Need to take road tyres off it. Might take it on dusty butt 1k next year as a hoot
Lucky bugger I’d love a legal ts I was going to try get my 79 ds80 registered again but it’s way to hard to get parts
Wicked stuff :0 where is this ?
This along with 95% of the riding on the channel is about 30 minutes north of Wellington been in there for 5+ years and still discovering new tracks
Best ride I've seen in a long time, on you tube... There is a universal sign when passing riders from the opposite direction,, hold up the number of riders behind you on left hand with last rider showing fist, spread the word and keep up the good work :)
Sending it!
Watching on my phone so I could be wrong but it looked like your bike pulled harder than the rm400 in 95% of situations. Weight, suspension, tyres advantage to the modern bike...
You’d be correct I’m on my 2013 250sx first ride on it in about 3 years and it definitely has more in the top end/longer gears than the 400 but 33 years of technology definitely helps haha
Wow What a sick spot!
So cool.🎉
Absolute beast
Saw it
Tight n steep mate gotta luv that kinda challenge bloody pretty spot too good effort cheers
I used a motoz arena hybrid gummy for the Korito Technical Matrix and struggled more than usual, next weekend I couldn't even get up Gearbox without pushing and some rolling around on the ground and I usually just blast straight up it.
Yea I’ll never get one again they aren’t suited for my kind of riding area
@@theboysadventures9956 what do you normally run?
I've been riding with the motoz arena hybrid gummy for a while now.....maybe that's why I'm sucking?! :) Won't have anything to do with my fitness or anything........
@@merlinmaertz3619 I’m usually using a mx33,525 cheater or kenda ibex but I’m leaning more towards what evers cheapest atm everything is so bloody expensive
@@merlinmaertz3619😅
Did you have to change the jetting with the pipe. It sounds so good. Love 70s bikes but the sound of a late 80s bike sounds so much better imo.
I’d been playing with the jetting with the stock pipe and landed on something that happened to work with this pipe so I kind of got lucky
I am delighted with that ts fighting, more videos of the ts 185 suddenly adjusting the engine, adjusting the flapper something,
Cual es tu instagram?
Nice trails!!!!!
You have inspired me to arrange a ag- nationals over here in oz. I will be on a mighty ts of course.
I love to hear it I’d 100% attend if I could
100% awesome
Think I know where your heading at 21:19.
The sign on the way down said supercharger it’s the first time iv found it it’s still a little wet and slippery where I stopped and didn’t want to dig holes so thought I’d leave it till I’m on the big bike 😊
We just ride in the dunes from himatangi beach
How do you get down there
sweet old bike and some great riding mate 😎🍺
I appreciate it thanks. Can’t beat working and experimenting on old bikes
Was it better then stock ?
Yes better power throughout the rev range I’m very surprised and happy with it
@@theboysadventures9956nice I’ve gutted my tf chamber but continplating something simular 👌
I did the same thing it was an improvement but not as good as this pipe there are some guys that make really nice pipes on fb if you have $600+ to spend but if your handy with a grinder and welder and you can get your hand on a old pipe for cheap you may as well give it a go
why the hell arent these bikes being sold in america i want one 😭
They are a hell of a good time😊
im from australia and just got a 1982 running and its off its head
You guys are lucky you have so many more bikes and parts available in aus than nz
Thats what i call dirts bikes 👌🏼👍🏼
I have had a 1976 TS185M for 5 years that I bought from the original owner, with 10k UK miles on it. Not mint but very good and dent free, straight, totally standard. I swear if Suzuki could re-introduce a modern simple replacement they would sell boat loads of them. Gorgeous little bikes.
🤣🤣😉 ts185 Blues
🤣Very nice, man!!!
Sick bro 😂❤
Here in new Zealand we would call that welding Bird shit and it looks like bird shit
Hence why I said that at the bottom of the video
Thats how we do it in Australia also. Love it!
I call it squeezing the pidgeon lol but it's well stuck together and got no hedgehogs inside so it's good enough haha
Noice !
Love your videos mate. I just started posting similar content. I have an old beaten up ag 200 but my mate has a ts 185. Hell of a bike 👍🏼
Nice mate I can’t get enough of the old girl
@@theboysadventures9956 if you’re ever around the lower north island you should come for a ride. I’ll take you on a hell of an adventure, some awesome tracks and wicked scenery
We are in lowerhutt mate we always ride in the akatarawa forest
I just picked up a 185 er and tell you what I've had an 80s yz 250 and this thing is much lighter and is just as fun if not more
For sure mate there’s just something else about a ts it’s hard not to have fun
Wicked
I like it! Hope its better than my 300 pipe on my dt175, it made my powerband real low in the rev range and a bit of a handful. I might need a 200 pope as well.
I’ll put more videos up of the finished item and how it runs I’m thinking it will be to long so more down low power which will suit the trail riding but I’ll see how it goes might have to shorten it a little to bring the powerband higher
I look forward to seeing it. Alway love your ts enduro videos. Cheers from Australia.
Ts 100/125 and 185 4ever
Dang!! I wish i can join you , im using TS 125 .
Where are you based mate. You could come for a ride with our crew. We’re always looking for more riders
Nice 👍
👍
hi, what sprocket and chain do you use?
Hey I run 12-48t sprockets and a oring 520 chain
@@theboysadventures9956 It's not original? what motorcycle is it?
It’s just some random hearing I took a guess at and seems to work really well for the riding I do on the ts
bloody having a crack there lad
😂 it’s what it’s made for hahaha I have just been for another good ride but GoPro decided it wanted to record everything in slow motion so currently trying to save the footage 🤦🏼♂️
@@theboysadventures9956 god i hate that it’s happened a few times just decides to do it by itself i formated the card after dumping the footage and it fixed the issue only run a 7 black the newer ones clap out to heat and vibration
I have a 9 black and I havnt formatted that card in ages I need to do it for tomorrows ride. I imagine you deal with a lot hotter days that we do haha
@@theboysadventures9956 yeah not to bad here in tassie 32 today to hot to be carting bloody hay hehe oh well makes the beer taste good how do you go with the battery life on the 9
Shit our max is 28-30 peak summer in Wellington haha normal batteries are good normally get a full ride from one but I want to try one of the enduro batteries see how long they go for
Can you tell the name of the song? Thanks in advance.
Honestly I have no idea it was just playing on another video on the tv I’ll try Shazam it
Na no luck sorry
Never mind, thank you anyways. I've tried to shazam it too, but had 0 success with it.
Dio
tight and bloody awesome mate sick riding
Awsome vid guys I flogged my old ts for years around oz just an unbreakable little beast gotta luv old tech goodonya lads cheers
I appreciate it mate I think it’s the best use of the old bikes it just shows how well things were made back in the day.
@@theboysadventures9956 absolutely mate most of my bikes are 20+ years old and they get the adventures done so easily and I can fix them out bush with minimal tools to limp home ,new bikes just can’t
I have a 2018 300exc as well and I’m one of the lucky ones that have always made it out of the bush. Touch wood haha. The ts let me down when it did a back flip off a big root step but lucky we were just by the main road out ended up being the main loom was all melted together but other than that it’s been bulletproof 💪🏻
@@theboysadventures9956 ha wicked at least the looms only 5 wires mate not hard to replace the 300 will shit the fuel pump if its injected i duno why ktms run such shitty electrical components its there only weak point at the end of the day if ya riding ya winning bro
It is a tpi but I think the 2018’s were the best model haha I’m at 220 hours on stock fuel pump and oil pump everything tests up mint haha but your right if the just stuck to the reliable gear they would be the best thing on two wheels
Good by clutch my old friend
I thought the same thing haha the China fibers are putting up a good fight😅
I had one of those. It was an orange/red one. Had moments exactly the same. Got so pissed off with the fckin thing i kicked the tank in. They had a good motor tho. Ran it out of oil a couple of times. Just ending up a bad case of piston slap. Retired the old bitch when i bought a brand spanking new XL 250 RC.
I with a had pictures of the top end before I bored it out the poor thing was toast. After the full rebuild the things a rocket haha I do love these old bikes
Expecting too much from a Trail bike. Bug difference between Trail & Trial bike.
I think I’m expecting just the right amount from the ts after all it made it through without much hassle😊
Looks like the Gut Buster in the Coromandel.
I’m sure iv heard of the gut buster before if it’s like this it would be a hell of a race
Not the best watch, why bother 😅
facking unkillable suzuki!! great bike!
Agreed!
