@ just say the word and we’ll put on a proper southern welcome. We got some great public land & over 12,000 acres of private land down here around Bodcaw, AR & every coonhunter oughta hunt the White River in north Arkansas at least once.

@ that sounds like a lot of fun. We have been talking about going to Arkansas for the girls spring break this year, everything is still up in the air. Bodcaw is 10hrs straight south of us though, not bad! We drove to northern Minnesota in the summer and that was 10hrs north, not bad at all.

@ y’all would love it up in the Ozarks, it’s actually really beautiful in northern Arkansas.

@@justinreeves7575 money is a backpacker, they don’t hunt much together anymore as I try to work that out of him. Normal nights when I would hunt them together it wasn’t uncommon for them to split but it was more common money would come in when he’d hear smooth throw down his 3x locate. They’re the same age; littermates. Both dogs are 17months old (7/26/23)

@ yeah, what wasn’t covered completely in that video was smooth in that first brush pile, first. Z came into smooth on that. Then smooth was split on the circle tree when smooth was in the hole probably 25yds away from Z’s tree, 3rd tree was right off the cut really, both dogs came into that pretty damn close . The last drop of that hunt smooth was 300 some yards out from Z and was working his own track when z treed the den tree. Didn’t matter cause hunt ended. He will back another dog when it makes sense but if it’s slick he blows out. Bad habit he picked up that I blame myself for because I started hunting him in casts from a very young age (9 months) and it’s been a work in progress.

@@justinreeves7575 But last night for example the only time smooth was near other dogs is when they covered him, he was consistently 100-700 away from all 3 other dogs. For a while there he would really only be interested in covering if it was a female but I’ve noticed it more with males too. Been hunting him with friends dogs so it gives me a chance to break him of that but can’t do that in the videos/hunts
