yeah sony cant do peter parker w/o marvel and sony cant do live action 'spider man' ('spider noir' being a loophole it seems) w/o marvels approval either. easily the dumbest studio decision of the super hero franchise era, and im sure feige couldnt believe sony was dumb enough to do it.

Hey, gang, Question for you - were movies like 'Friday the 13th' released nation-wide in 1980? Or were they rolled-out across the US starting in a few cities and then, gradually opening everywhere? If the latter were so, maybe that's why the movie was first released a month before an actual calendar Friday the 13th. The rollout could begin in May and lead up to the red-letter-date in June. As always, love the show!

As a Social Studies teacher whose two main passions are movies and politics, I appreciated this specific crossover of genres.

In 1978, Robert Redford and Paul Newman were 42 and 53, respectively. Probably a little too old to play a 30-year-old Superman. Glad they didn't go in that direction.

Great cast guys, i liked the donner cut better, will you guys eventually het to the animated films and series though not live action i’d say the cartoons are the only things that have a chance against the first film, as to the spider-man 1 and 2 being better at the same game i agree but they also had the superman films to look at when they were making them, and to the Lord of the rings being the only lord of the Rings i disagree the thing that made those films out side the cast and crew which arguably any movie could have, the one up Rings have that others fail to grasp is the book series as far as hobitt/ the lord of the rings being a single book split into a trilogy was done they knew where they were going planed the whole thing from movie one to three granted changes may have been made but the bones were made and the had one crew helmed by the same director film all three at the same time and had three to four years to make the edits maybe not the first but return of the king was well years after fellowship, and speaking of king’s my favorite Eye of the Dragon (probably not his best) i was on wastland or wizard and glass last i challenged the tower, i think i like his fantasy more then his horror not for nothing but i find he uses to many specific things like a certain chocolate bar you’d only remember if you were a kid in the 70’s or a specific old sitcom or commercial jingle of the era and it’s 100% me but it throws me out every time.

Can't talk about any superman property without bashing man of steel. Also you guys should watch the donner cut. While it may feel unfinished in parts, its tonally more in line with the first film and less stupid.
