Things you shoud try if you are other here in Germany, from a Bavarian perspective: - anything Sausage most of it is very good, but Weißwurst (only in Bavaria) and you might need a month or more to eat every on there is. - Schweinebraten (Pork Roast) - Brathendl (grilled chicken) or Broiler - Anything venison, we have alot of those typ of dishes - Schnitzel (this on is more a Austrian thing, but it ones was the Ostmark so I put it in) - Späzle most of the times a side dish - Knödel most of the times a side dish - Sweets and Cakes, Bayrisch Creme for example, but there are a few 100 more. We also have very good "Italian" and "French" Food at least better than most places in the US . And "US" aka Barbeque style of foods are also quit common, but they often a bit different. Oh, the general food quality is higher to, but for some people the food prep can be a bit shocking. But no worries in 28 years, in Germany, I didn't get food poisened. If you are a vegetarian or a vegan, you sadly lose out on many of those dishes so keep that in mind.
