The REAL 87th IWAR Gold Strategy Workshop

IWA STRATEGY BASICS:
What may seem like "blind guessing" to win in the IWA is really more of an educated guess. We start off with knowing what HOLD VALUES you can consider safe to use for the coming cycle. I, going to use this coming Gold cycle as an example here;
In the front 10, hold #25 in Gold (no matter what it was worth, use it), the holds that were worth 30pts and 25pts. (5 holds done; 25, 12, 53, 45 59) This leaves us 5 holds to decide on as we go forward. (we'll get back to this)
On the back 5, you have hold #90 and the holds that were worth 45pts each. (3 holds done,; 90, 73, 85) so now you just need to pick one of the holds that were worth 43pts (either 63 or 83) and here is where a lot of players get lost when we say 43.1 and 43.2. How do we determine which gets dubbed the 1 or the 2? While both of these holds are worth 43pts, which was worth MORE points the previous cycle? 63 was 45pts and 83 was 42pts, so 63 is 43.1 ad 83 is 43.2.

@@rileymatthews Hahaha oh I definitely need and use readers, but for long distance stuff, up close I'm still 20/20. Also, the entire video isn't blurry, but it goes back and forth. I'm not sure what's triggering it to do that or I'd provide suggestions on how to fix.

Can you explain the decimals on the back 5 holds. I am assuming they are .1 strong, .2 weak? If so, are you determining the strength by feel or some formula? I determine str by hold average value (23 cycles). Also, can you explain what a split is? As a returning player these workshops are awesome. Do any of the other federations do anything like this? OR is there any other IWA content out there? Not finding much. Thanks
Hi James! Hope I'm not stepping on any toes by jumping in. You're right that .1 is strong and .2 is weak, and the only thing to look at is the previous value the hold took. This cycle the 44s were 62 and 63. Last cycle 62 was at 45 and 63 was at 42, so 62 is 44.1 and 63 is 44.2.

I'm new to this. Could you explain why the 25s are highlighted?
Have this match on both VHS and DVD. Some say that this was revenge for Bruiser Brodys death that Invader 1 never was charged with . Whether that's true or not don't know . Fernandez went there with the intention of injuring Invader 3 . WWC was a hotbed for this style of wrestling and pioneers of Hardcore . The crowds would go insane for this and riots would break out . Have heard some wrestlers didn't want to work in Puerto Rico because the crowds were riotous and crazy . After the Brody murder wrestlers were scared to work there out of fear of what might happen .Business went down and wrestlers took on jobs over there . Still a hotbed for some of the greatest feuds ever . Carlos Colon , Bruiser Brody, Abdullah The Butcher, Stan Hansen, Terry Funk, all made their names there . This was 1 of the more violent matches from there . A must watch .

Locked down a 488 total last cycle but holds 63 & 67 held me down as they were only 41s in the gold federation. Betting they go up next cycle👍

Manny got pissed and actually did hurt him cause of bruiser Brody murder. After the match owner sent guys in back to shut lights off and deal with Manny. Harley Race got him out to parking lot and pulled gun out to protect Manny. He got him to airport and it was reported if Manny came back he was dead.harley race confirmed that day went real bad
thisis real its revenge for what invader 1 did to brody.
even Manny admitted it on an interview with Bill Apter that it was not a work, and it was a legitimate case of bad blood which led to this.
