Role of pleurodesis in the setting of chylothorax ?
This is ion iliescu robot...ion translation meaning John and is a failure .. intuitive holy spirit magic 81 school of la Maddalena Ariel... They destroyed the projects. We had surgery open heart
Thanks
i should have already had this kind of talk with my pulmonologist but i havnt because my insurance wont cover what they call (an experimental procedure) , meanwhile im stuck absolutely terrified of my next respiratory event , and since fall allergy season just kicked off this morning im more screwed . any help in making my insurance cover this would be greatly appreatiated
was this recorded on a gopro?
I was almost killed by an attempted percutaneous dilitational trach in an ICU unit after 2 weeks on vent. Among many other injuries from MV had TBI. Had to be rushed to the OR with someone bagging me for air and someone compressing my neck for bleeding form thyroid vessel. Very low oxygen saturation and BP. Of course I was unconscious and so could have died and never known it LOL. Suffered pneumothorax (L and R I believe) and pneumothorax. Portable xray taken either before or after correction in OR (I don't recall which) was read by rad with first sentence "a momentous event has occurred". A combination of incompetence and possibly contraindicated due to my condition.
The audio mix is off. Can't hear the VO. This was a part of what I did for forty years. It's a simple fix.
I was missed diagnosed for 6 months and put in heavy medication. prednisone, Bactrim, anzathiaprine Doctors at Scripps lajolla Thought I had bilateral pulmonary pnemanitus. Lung biopsy showed I have PAP. performed whole lung Lavage left and right lungs still do not feel better still on oxygen. Looking to start on a GMCSF therapy.
very good detail explanations
Collateral ventilation is the problem with these i have a stratx test results,89 rll borderline hoping that i can get help short of breathe all day do pursed but my lower numbers are over 2200 ill take anything i can find a better quality of life now it sucks can walk much moving from room to room bathing sucks i hope I know more in march after a nother statx x test found a nodule 6mm rml im praying for relief

Bflex 2 !! 😉
😂 Promo-SM
During the procedure, when do you stop ventilation and when do you resume it?
will the socket1/2 button be used during EBUS ?
Nice video but editor needs a change...music is irritating and it's dominating voice
Amazing another technology yet is it saving lives and is small cell lung cancer found early. All these new technologies yet is cancer caught early
Any recommendation if I don’t have a bronchoscope for the procedure?
Then don't do it.
Tracheostomy Is it a sterile or a clean procedure
May I Know the name of the interviewer... He is really great at putting up the questions from framing them to getting answers out of the interviewee. Good Work.. It made me subscribe to the channel..
Thank you for all the effort. When I was starting fellowship it was a challenge to find the resources and know it is so readily available.
Beautiful video
This is what my wife is thinking of doing for herself. Her breathing already has me extremely worried. Yes she has COPD and had it for a while, she doesn’t smoke but use to. I stay up a lot at night and watch her sleep to make sure she’s breathing ok. I’ll wake her up when her breathing gets to labored so she can have a breathing treatment. I’m praying that this will make her life a little easier.
I also COPD (Emphysema). I live alone and many times during the night my labored breathing or noisy breathing wakes me up. Does your wife use Oxygen during the night and has she been diagnosed with sleep arpnea?
@@debrascott8492 I’m so sorry that you’re going through this alone, we don’t do that here in our family. If there is an emergency with her breathing someone has to be here. Brenda, that’s my wife has trouble just walking from the bedroom to the kitchen. Yes she on oxygen most of the time here lately, she caught a minor chest cold which hit her pretty hard. She’s been on antibiotics for the past month trying to beat this darn cold. It would be nice to know if you had someone to at least check on you through out your day.
@@garywebb4244 ...Thank you for replying. My Brother lives in my city and he calls me in the morning and in the evening (everyday), however we both know this is not the same as having someone else in your home, but it is what it is. I also have sleep apnea and I cannot use the mask because I am "extremely" claustrophobic. Sure hope your wife gets rid of that cold, then she might be able to breathe a little better.
@@debrascott8492 try a nasal mask and if you mouth beathe use a chin strap
i hope your insurance will cover it for you mine wont
Well done, Eihab
does the trachea collapse when breathing in or out? In babies its breathing out. Same for adults?
Excellent video. Vivek was my senior resident once upon a time!
Great video! The music is very unnecessary though. There are few videos about rigid bronchoscopy, and yours is really thorough.
The best one that I know of. And I'll take the music over a doctor telling me to hurry up.
I would argue that this is not optimal technique.
Thank you for the comment. Can you explain why you think this is not optimal technique and what you would do instead? Thanks.
What are other techniques for better sampling?
very helpful.
Great talk

Excellent 💯👍
Excellent video. If I could suggest to lower the volume of the background music to liste better the instructions. Thank you for this excellent material.
great talk. Probably one of the best for last so many years.
Its a snap not a curved kelly.
There's no such instrument called a "snap"
Snap is slang...The correct name as AK said is Curved Kelly
Many useful pearls
