The Go karts are limited up to 35miles/hr. They start about 1/3-1/2 lap slow, then go up to max speed and then are slowed back down to 1/2 to 1 lap. I suspect they do that to extend the battery life.

I just went to Fun Spot America to try just the Commander track and it was so fun and really fast, too!
