Of course the irony is that the Wenceslaus in the original song (who was not the Wenceslaus in the AoE2 level, as the Wenceslaus in AoE2 lived three centuries later) was not a King at all, but a Duke of Bohemia, at a time when like much of that part of the world (Central and Eastern Europe) dukes actually OUTRANKED most kings, as the kings in question were weak and powerless individuals, with mostly nominal lordship over a gaggle of loosely held fiefdoms, whereas the Dukes held authority over EACH ARMY OF EACH KING AND/OR FIEFDOM *PUT TOGETHER* and therefore by LAW OF ARMS had higher authority, particularly in a MARTIAL sense, than any king did in that region at that time, and indeed Duke derives from Latin “Dux” meaning “Commander” or “Governor”, and was used to refer to the “Dux Bellorum” (military commander/governor), several Duces Bellori were to be found in Britannia at various points, and may have partially inspired the Arthur legend, while Charlemagnes ancestor, Charles Martel, was a Dux and Maiordomo (Majordomo or “Mayor of the Palace”) in Merovingian France, again at a time when Merovingian King-Emperors had very little real power, and it was the superior authority of the Dux and Majordomo enjoyed by Charles Martel and his dynasty that enabled Charlemagne to make for the throne. The Wenceslaus of Bohemia in this level of the game came three hundred years AFTER Duke (and later Saint) Wenceslaus of Bohemia, and was unlike his namesake (who to my knowledge left no descendants, and was assassinated at the height of his power by a scheming rival) a King, as Bohemia at this stage had become a King

This level is insane on Titan with any other strat at the beginning. You did great in your vid, less than half as long as this one :)

It was a challenging campaign, feels good to beat it :D

Funny how youtube gives you an option of 3 appealing thumbnails :)

This game is an absolute gem, glad they remade it.

Dev team must be prepping up for AOE4, hope they do better on AI on the next one. Still enjoyed it quite a bit though.

The enemy strat is really random, I guess I got lucky this time around.
