The origins of the company go back to a traditional locksmith’s - the family business Büttner Stahl- und Maschinenbau founded in 1947. MIAS as a production company in its current form came into being in 1985. Since 1989, MIAS has been steadily working toward expansion into international markets. In 2015, MIAS was purchased by Jungheinrich AG, where it has continued as an independent brand. Today the company employs more than 700 staff members at four locations and, as an OEM, supplies stacker cranes and telescopic forks to customers all over the world.
In order to provide faster and better service to Asian customers, MIAS MATERIALS HANDLING (KUNSHAN) CO.,LTD. was established in Kunshan in 2009, and began to use German technology for local manufacturing.This is an important step taken by MIAS Group to explore and develop the Asian market.
