Directed and Edited by Jozef Raiche, Produced by Brenda Townsend, this short video depicts the design and creation of a 100' long mural, "Hummingbird Jubilee," recently installed by Brilliant Spectrum Art. Commissioned by the City of Escondido, this whimsical and colorful, new Public Art piece was recently named one of the "Top 15 Murals of 2024" by the Union-Tribune newspaper in an article by Carlos Rico. This large, beautiful piece was executed by 49 artists, ages 9-74, over the course of several months, and depicts several hummingbirds and local butterfly species, flitting joyfully through a stained-glass garden. "Hummingbird Jubilee" was formally unveiled and presented to the residents of Escondido on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, and now permanently exists in Maple Street Plaza on Grand Ave. in historic downtown Escondido, for all to enjoy!🎉🎉🎉

Brenda has led many Art classes, groups, workshops, and trainings for students of all levels and abilities. She has a theatre background, and has produced countless award-winning shows in Escondido, doing all of the Charge Artist duties, as well as leading teams to assist. Brenda was recently the Lead Artist on the award-winning production of "Sunday in the Park with George," produced by CCAE Theatricals, and part of the art team on other productions at CCAE. She has owned Brilliant Spectrum Art since 2020, and enjoys participating in Community Events and volunteering her time and expertise as a Board Member at the Escondido Arts Partnership Gallery.
