The original version of this film was my main channel's 200 sub special, but it was never released since that threshold wasn't met. This film has been redone, with the original IRT footage being preserved and added to the end of this film. The IND footage was entirely redone. Rolling stocks shown: R46, R62, R62A, R68, R68A, R142, R179, and R211A. Thanks for watching Make sure to like and subscribe

My revised NTT assignments amidst uncertainty with MTA funding and the modern political climate.

In this updated Google Slides presentation, I talk about the lack of MTA funding due to the congestion pricing pause, the presidential election, Queenslink, and how some of the R160's and R179’s should be redistributed in the next 2-3 years. The comment's section is open, and I'm more than happy to engage in discussion and make any clarifying statements if necessary. However, your comment will ...

Something worth mentioning is that I found this article earlier this week, not too long before this presentation was published. If they're more broke than we previously thought, then sending some R160's to Coney Island Yard to cut back on the R68/A fleet is a brilliant idea. gothamist.com/news/mta-is-far-more-broke-than-previously-expected-state-comptroller-says
I guess that answers my questions on why majority of the R160 cars are very dirty, and not performing in the best condition. Too many of them in Jamaica yard that they just give up on taking good care of them. My poor R160B Siemens 😢
Hopefully, they'll send some of them to Coney Island Yard so that the ones that stay in Jamaica can receive better care. It would be a shame if those cars had to retire prematurely. Quality over quantity.
@@CLBT7437 what is your honest opinion on the R160 cars that run out of Jamaica yard in terms of performance and cleanliness?
@ishrakkhan5541 The cleanliness is in need of improvement, especially on the E and F. Performance is simply a toss-up since with 1290 cars, I'm almost completely certain that very few of them receive maintenance on a regular basis.
@@CLBT7437agreed. There is too many to keep up with, which is why they store them at nights between Queens Plaza and 71st Ave. I can't count how many times a week a delay happens on the line because of a train with a mechanical problem.
@ishrakkhan5541 Some are also stored on the 4th Avenue Express tracks overnight and at Coney Island Yard. Very inefficient, and a waste of modern rolling stock.
Transit Fans resides in Florida keep listening to a non New Yorker it’s in his latest community post link u r lucky I don’t put u in a hole pal
Looks like the R46 and R179 was dominating more than R211 at Grant Avenue.
Well, this was taken before the 4200's were introduced, and some of the R211's are spares in the yards or rush hour extras that terminate at Dyckman Street, 168th Street, or Rockaway Park.
Eventually the R211S will be passing by there good video 👍
I'm looking forward to that. Thanks for stopping by, my guy.
So the 8 cars R160 (M) trains during the weekday service & the 4 cars opto R160 (M) trains during the weekend service.
Precisely.
Thinking that Zeldin would support public transit is pure cope.

Is This Number Eighteen 18 And Number Nineteen 19 If You Definitely Already Know What I Mean?!:-\
This is the 18th set, which entered service yesterday. The 19th set is TBD.
@CLBT7437 Okay Then And What About Number Twenty 20 And Yeah But Still It's Already Definitely It's Plenty?!:-\
@josephortiz1990 #20 is also TBD. Hopefully, it'll enter service in late June or early July.
@CLBT7437 Alright Then And What About Number Twenty-One 21 And It's Already And Definitely Up And Over And Done?!:-\
@josephortiz1990 As I previously said, #19 and #20 are still TBD. Since 21 is after 20, there's ur answer on the 21st set.
I heard there are a little more than 200 cars on property now, with the recent arrival of 4270-4274 on MTA property.
Great to see that the R211 order is going smoothly. Hopefully the (B) and (D) lines start receiving R211’s by the start of next year.
I'm certainly looking forward to the day that I see an R211 D or B train. Hopefully, in the first half of next year.
@@CLBT7437 And as a bonus, we may even see them show up on the (N) and (Q) on weekends since the (B) doesn't run then.
Awesome 💪🏾
Cool catch
Thanks. It was also an unexpected one.

Happy Sunday Weekend R68s B,Q Train Action And I Hope You Have A Wonderful Happy Memorial Day To You And Your Families 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Happy Memorial Day to you as well.
As of April 1st 2024, the F has returned to the 63rd Street tunnel, and the M has returned to 53rd Street. This was undoubtedly a bad move since so much capacity in the 53rd Street tunnel is being wasted. So many people transfer at Roosevelt Avenue from QBL local service to QBL Express service, with Lex-53rd having higher preference over Lex-63rd. Furthermore, the Queens Plaza and 36th Street merges are once again problematic. E and F service between Manhattan and Queens was far more reliable when both of them were on 53rd Street. Even if it meant transferring to the 6 and walking 2 extra blocks to 2nd Avenue, so what? The 6 runs at triple the frequency of the Q. In the presentation, I proposed an overnight and weekend shuttle train between 21st Street-Queensbridge and Lex-63rd. Instead, I propose extending it to 34th Street on the 6th Avenue Express tracks. Those who specifically need the F can catch it at 47th-50th Streets or 42nd Street.
2:49 That’s actually the first time that I’ve seen an R160A Z Train go within 40 mph. It’s like how the E and F Trains run along QBL on the express tracks. I usually see the J/Z Skip-stop Trains go within 20-35 mph.
I hope you enjoyed the rest of the video.
Nice content when was this taken?
Thx for the compliment. Idk the exact date, but it was taken in September 2023.
Can you fan the E train ?
@MTAEnthusiast2222 Sorry, but I'm not railfanning until further notice. I'll go through my remaining films to see if I have E line content.
In reference to the 3, I would not abandon 145 and 148/Lenox Terminal. I would propose a Shuttle from 135th to 148th/Lenox Terminal to replace the 3. I like the idea of the 3 replacing the 5 North of 180th Street and ending at Gun Hill. As for CPW/8th Avenue, I like the idea of leaving the E alone as a local South of 50th. I would have no problem with the D replacing the C as the local on CPW, except for the fact that you would have to transfer at 125th or 145th to go to the Bronx, the upside is that both the B and D would be on the lower level at 145th, so the Inwood trains are on the upper level. The C on 8th Avenue as the 2nd Express, I would have no problem with that. As for the Jamaica Avenue Line, if I'm reading this right, you're advocating bringing back the Brown M and have the V replace the current Orange M? Also, if Queenslink ever gets built, would the V replace the M to the Rockaways in this scenario? I would leave the E alone, it's fine where it is now ending at Jamaica Center. As for Culver, for the most part, I like the plan there. The G would be the local covering those stops, if I'm reading that right. As for Dekalb, if I'm reading it correctly, you're saying have the Q run to Coney on the D route and the D to Ocean Parkway as the local on the Q route? Overall, I'd have to say for the most part, it's a good plan.
I propose abandoning 145th and 148th Streets because squeezing a shuttle train into 135th Street/Lenox will be quite difficult. I never proposed removing the E from Jamaica Center. I proposed removing the rush hour trips to 179th Street. I apologize if there was any confusion on my stance. Yes, my Dekalb solution is to swap the D and Q. Yes, I still support reviving the V and Brown M because QBL shouldn't be running any 480 foot long trains. No, the V wouldn't be able to serve Queenslink since it would have to be based out of Jamaica Yard. I actually did a separate presentation on why Queenslink should(but probably won't) be built. I highly suggest checking it out. th-cam.com/video/SWHWbRJTaFY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=kt_uFJnHps3foG2E
Since the creation of this presentation, I received confirmation from the MTA's IG account that R211's won't go to Jamaica Yard. However, my new assignment where the B and G share R160's and R211's still stands. Edit: In the presentation, I called for 140 R160's to leave Jamaica. Those cars and the R211 first option order should be assigned as follows: 370 R211A cars for the (D) 270 cars for the (B) 70 cars for the (G) 70 cars for the (N)/(W) and (Q) This allows the MTA to retire not just the R46's, but also the worst performing R68's. On weekends and during overnight hours, there would be be more NTT's available for the N and Q since the B doesn't run during those times. That leaves Jamaica with 1150 cars for the E, F, and R, which is my official stance on the matter.
2 and 5 can be unchanged sent those R262 to the 1 or 4
Well, if the R262 has less capacity than the R142/A's, the 2 and 5 have to remain unchanged by default.
My opinion send those R262 to the 2 and 5, the 4 can remain unchanged
What kind of equipments that you would like to see on the Pelham 6 line when the brand new R262/As comes?

What is the point of this comment? I personally refer to that station as Madison-53rd.
R211’s are lemons and are not as reliable as R160’s.
And, if you've been on board them as many times as I have, you'll know that they're unworthy to make up a quarter of Jamaica Yard’s fleet, let alone half. I really look forward to seeing those cars on the B and D.
@@CLBT7437 facts Dagamez (Transit Fans) is so obsessed with R160’s it’s kinda annoying he prays they go to the B and D when those lines are getting R211’s.
was this filmed on a potato ?
What a stupid question. Of course not.
