How I Went From 0 to 1800 Chess ELO in 1.5 Years
Very rare. I've played 20k blitz games and I got it once! But I just sort of stumbled into it. I didn't plan for it to happen.
Well done! 💯
Nice smothered mate well done
In the first game that it called the English Rat (I recommend it in my course). The deal is that while White might think that relieving Black of castling rights is a good thing, with Queens off the board it is not a big deal at all. Check out the Lichess database - after 1. d4 d6 2. c4, the move that has the highest win rate (as well as the best engine valuation) in both Master and club player databases is e5!
Interesting, I literally Never saw this in my life, thanks for explaining
i just watch the video i started playing chess like 11 month ago im like at 1850 i keep winnin a l ot almost 2000 then fall back to 1800 ay tips how t ostop that
Play Like 2 Games a time max
I learned chess about 10 months ago and i'm 1200 is that good progress?
good boy
I dont want to
Me neither. But congrats to this dude
is the mouse ur using is from bloody? if yes, were you bridging?
Its a bloody mouse, but what do you mean by „bridging“
@Leo-jj8du like using drag click to do telly and stuff
is bobby fischer teaches chess a good book i am a beginner i just know basic rules like how all pieces move and u play towards the center and stuff.. would u recommend me this as my first book ?
You can get that Book if You want to, but as a beginner there is no need to spend money on Books, there is enough out there for free.
@ is it a book worth buying?
Yes
Im somehow 2300 and been playing chess for 1 year and 5 months (im addicted)
Thats crazy fr
nice video bro
Your story actually covers with mine. 😄 I started chess after losing to a friend in Latin class and got to 2000 rapid online after 1.5 years. Anyways, I‘m sure this video is helpful especially for those stuck below 2000
Do you play blitz and bullet at all? This Elo difference between rapid and blitz/bullet seems to be a bit extreme
Und btw Glückwunsch :)
I never play bullet, blitz sometimes but rarely.
@@Leo-jj8du do you think your Elo in blitz would be higher if you played more blitz games?
Maybe, but I‘m Not good in Blitz
i got to 2000 with no books and preparation in rapid.
Well I didn‘t
@Leo-jj8du yeah btw do you regret putting ur time into chess?
Be 2000 Elo- make new account-play...
Nice Video bro. Keep up
Thanks 🔥
Well, with CoreChess on Linux and Stockfish set at ELO 2,000, I manage to beat it occasionally - if I play white ;-).
Are you planning to maybe also make a German channel
Probably Not
Hi ! I enjoyed your video. Thanks! What is the title of the book you rmentioned @10:50 ?
It‘s a german Book, i don‘t know if an english version exists. Its called „Tigersprung auf 1800 DWZ“ by GM Artur Jussupow
ah yes, It is a series of 9 books which is also available in English. Thanks!
What r the nine books in English@@michaclaessen1265
I've played against a blatant cheater before. It was unrated tho, but cheating is cheating. I challenged him to play me to bullet chess and his skills took a massive dip. Shortly after he played a few rapid games, he was banned.
You need to learn about Go.
Nice video, didn’t know that you were German. I saw it the first time
2:06 Nimzowitch has said focus inthe position infront of you g3 literally helps black consolidate, try play the most accurate moves to put black in danger, btw 2000 elo online is one achievement in chess, shows you like the game, at 5:20 study some theory in that opening after qc2 going nd2 and castling thennc4 pressuring the d6 pawn is thematic, you never play bd3 in that line
Yeah, benoni is just so rare, that the theory was not something that I considered looking at, especially because I‘ve been only playing 1.d4 2.c4 for Like 3 weeks or something. Thx for the tips tho
So how do u report cheetets
Click on their Account you can Click „Report“
@Leo-jj8du oh i didnt even know you could click that
Started chess 10 months ago... I've been 1500 for close to a month now... Ill make sure to be 1800 in 6 months and 2000 in the next
I went from 500 to 1650 in less than four months. I basically just quit playing video games (because I don't enjoy it anymore) and put time in chess instead. The amount of extra time you can utillize after quitting video games is incredible. That shi- must have stolen years of my life.
But how did you improve? Did you just play or also learned?
@NUAM58 both
1:35 I can already tell from the opening that white has no idea how to play the london, that's a wrong move order and allows equalization for black which black doesn't find (Nh5) but that Qc2 move is atrocious. These details aren't really obvious for anyone below like expert level, they just have to know the general plans and how to develop I guess.
Yes, I just wanted to Show an example of how you should develop in General. Especially for beginners the move orders with moves Like Nh5 don‘t matter. An Qc2 is Not a good move, it should just give an idea of connecting the rooks. I mentioned this I think.
Thx for pointing it out tho.
@@Leo-jj8du I spent hundreds of hours to study like 20% of the opening so yeah I know a lot about it 😂
Thats me!!!
Gullible gambit. Checkmate lol
Who doesn’t know about the average Donald from Italy
Update: He was just banned, I was correct
Nice, think you'd be able to spot these cheaters? th-cam.com/video/acOlGQhEbbM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=c5jczMUhrXndFILD
Thanks ill use this video to make my cheating less noticeable
😂😂
😂😂😂
my biggest weakness was mostly losing with black usually because I responded to e4 with e5 and essentially just went off of intutition. caro kann and Nf6 really saved me because now theyre the ones who have to respond to your territory
Tip 3: Opening Repertoire is important!
5:53 this is exactly why I chose the Caro as my opening against e4 - you always put the opponent in your territory, not the other way around. It's a very solid opening too, and very easy to learn.
Exactly
I dont have the attention span to play for hours, just starting my channel on the road to 2000 and have a long journey ahead, thanks for these useful tips 👍
as a 1100 I am not even close to 1900 but this was still insanely helpful, great vid
love this, ur teaching and chess skills are on point, clear and easy, thank you!
nice video!
I went from 1100 to 700 in a year 😭😭
That‘s Crazy
stuck around 1400s, im a noob lol
Well done mate! Can't wait to get there too.... when I'm in my old age haha
You'll be a candidate master man keep going don't give up!
I appreciate that!
congratulations on 1900 man
Congrats Leo, keep going 👊
thanks for the advice !
Could you make a video on the fried liver gambit where you go deeper into the line we saw, because after 4:53, the knight on c3 can go to b4 and I really like to go a3 here where 90% of the players will fork the king and the rook not knowing that it is still equal. But then you go kd1 and it is pretty much a lot of fun from that position. Also could you make a video on how to refute the blackbourne shilling gambit, cause it is actually possible to sacrifice the knight early on after 7:22 by castling which I also would like to learn more about. And then lastly I would like to learn more about the scotch gambit. Hexo gambit is really nice for beginners trying to play against the fried liver. I am truly a fried liver enjoyer
what software are you using here?
Just Chess.com analysis tool
the annoying thing is: We got a player in our chess club playing exclusivly g4/b4 or g5/b5 on the first move. Problem is, over the years he has become so good with it that there is nothing you can throw at him to keep your advantage.
A bit above my level but nicely explained. I play caro-kann myself but to this day I never understood why to play h5 instead of h6. To me, playing h5 created a permanent weakness the oponent can exploit. Hence I tend to prefer playing h6 against the Tal variation. I know that the engines say that h5 is better or at least equal but i unveiled that I am not an engine but a human ^^ Anyways, nice video lloking forward for more :)
h6 is also possible, but it allows g4, and After you retreat your Bishop to h7 white has this Pawn sacrfice e6! This creates a huge weakness around your king, if your opponent knows about this move, for me at least, I would not be comfortable playing this Position
