Nice to see a rally video where there are close up steady images of what on the stalls, shame so much of it is old and overpriced.

Great video Damo 👍
Amazing collection of AUDIO GEAR there . worth a lot of money here in the U.S. !
Hi !
Hi john G0DTX
I was your 200th subscriber. Nice videos on the (Tr)usdx
WOW! TNX DE PY2RPJ 73
Very nice. Informative
Looks like UK radio rallies are going on the same downward slope as here in Australia !!
Tnx Damien! 73! Igor UA6HGY.
I haven't been to a radio rally for years, i miss them, especially going home with a car full of junk (i mean useful items!!).
@@ElliottSpencer-hn9qg I think you mean pre loved item's 😁. MC Michael Rally in Reading is the next one down south on the 14th July.
They're all older gentlemen, like me. My first rally was Telford 1979.
How much was the Stanley wood plane, looked a cracker 💪
Oh the R1155, I miss it for ever.
I'm amazed to see a few 19 sets! 🤓
Looked a decent little Rally, thanks for sharing.
THANKs , VERY NICE !!!! de US4ET, 73!!!! ..
I heard you on your Cougar earlier
Ah ok cool yeah I really like it and I do like the military kit 👍🏻
@@gorby928ifywas that it at 2:05 ?
@@arthurtwoshedsjackson6266No there was more to the rally but I tried to keep it more radio related when editing 👍🏻
What a great idea! Those mics are amplified with the volume knob, so you can adjust the volume right on the mic. I have uSDx+ and I have been running it with PC speakers so I have the large volume boost if I need it. I think I want that Retevis mic 👍👍👍
Yes this a great mic with lovely audio I would highly recommond it for your set up 👍
@@gorby928ify I have been thinking of getting one fory daily driver radio at work.
Looked like fun - good to connect on the net this eve. I hope you feel better soon. 73 M7NUM
Hi Nic Nice to hear you on the net(stick with it) usorry about the voice it just came on tonight. The next rally is the Dover Rally in March 👍🏻
I did look out for u buddy but didn't see u
I was there all day mate I even had my scrolling led badge on with my call sign 😁
Probably had his camo trousers on, that’s why he couldn’t be seen 😂
No camo on that day 😁
Power mic' ?
Hi yes it has a removeable battery 😀
@gorby928ify Will the Mic' still function without power? It is a cool setup!
No this mic needs power to work.
How did you wire it up? It comes with kenwood type plug, trusdx is both 3.5 jacks.
Could you provide a wiring diagram for the microphone and audio jacks?
This looks like a huge improvement, would love to see that as well!
That's a long way to go to play with a soldering iron 😁
Well you should give it a go they are a very friendly bunch of guy's. It was a great event 👍🏻
There is nothing quite like building something to then see it not work. Then spending hours wondering why. Then, there is nothing quite like building something having had lots of experience, and it working. Having knowledgeable and experienced people around you to help that build go smoothly and to assist with any debugging is a great confidence booster for the budding home constructor.. Much better than climbing that learning curve alone as I and many others have done. Many frustrating hours of getting things wrong and learning the best methods to use by making mistake after mistake, not taking care, not doing things right.
Very interesting, however the glare on the G90 screen is vicious.
Got you Roy. Good video.....
Good to get you in the log on Wednesday evening. Nice to see the setup 👍👍 MM0IVR
Did you have camouflage trousers on ? I was standing nearby when all I could hear was someone saying “I can’t see your legs”.
Yes that was me 😁
Nice rig! Tnx for QSO 73 de LZ3CC
Thank you Vess catch you on the band's again soon 👍🏻
Love It, Impressive Damien. Bring it to the Club or Summer Camp !!!
Cheers mate I might but I don't want John putting 400w into its front end 😳
Looks like a good rally shame I couldn't make it
Hi Kevin, yeah it was a decent rally not to big but some nice stuff available 👍🏻
Have you tried the new software now with spectrum scope ??? You lose AM and FM but got the scope 👍🇬🇧
No I havent tried that yet but I have seen some videos on it.
@@gorby928ify I have 2 of them, I will try it on one of them. 👎
Damien great demo. I have been out of the hobby now for nearly 30 years and recently retired after as many years working in the RF industry. Just got my license validated and have been trying to get my old FT80c back into life to get back on the air. However I keep seeing these and think this is going to be my easiest route and think I will buy one now after watching this. 73s G7EWL
Thank you for your kind comments. Just remember this a QRP device but still great fun and welcome back to the hobby 👍🏻
@@gorby928ify Yeah sure. Actually qrp was always my thing back in the day. I designed and built, and still have several VHF and UHF transvertors and worked as far as YU on less than one watt on 70cm during Sporadic E and even have the qsl card to prove. Cheers, enjoy.
hello old chap, did you buy anything.
No mate I came away empty handed 🙂
Didn't see my self in video M7MJW
Well that depends if you attended the rally ? 😁
@@gorby928ify yeah I did
@@kevinlloyd3403 missed you again 😜 we will catch up eventually 👍🏻
Hi mate u going to hamzilla sunday
Hi Kevin, sorry mate only just saw your message.Yes I was there today 😉
Nice day out and the weather was just great...Thanks...See you in 2023
Great !! What's the antenna setup you have with this trusdx ? 73, VU3UBP
I use a 49:1 EFHW Antenna resonant on 40m,20m,15m and 10m band (66foot of wire) and will tune up on others with an ATU.
@@gorby928ify 👍, my trusdx will receive in 2 weeks !!
Hi Damien didnt see u at canvey but you did get me and Soph in the video at 42mins 😂 Kevin M7MJW
I was looking for multi coloured hair but didn't see any 😁. I was there from opening (at front of the queue) we left around 1.30pm
Bloody hell I did well getting you at 42mins the video is only 4mins long 😂
And only got the back of your head 🤣
Did you see grumpy there.
No he didn't attend 😁
You really taught me a lot about the 20 m ham stick.
I really need to try it out on my car but its a little bit cold to be out and about playing radio at the moment .
Just ordered one of these kits. Looking forward to it!
You will have great fun with the Tr usdx amazing little radio 👍🏻
nice demo
Thanks 👍🏻
I have the same set up for POTA with 61'6" ft antenna with balun up off the ground abt 4 feet with excellent results. Height for antenna approx. 40 feet. G90 always finds a good swr match.
It is fantastic what the designers (PE1NNZ and DL2MAN) of this amazing radio were able to do with an inexpensive ATmega328 microcontroller (used in the Arduino Uno/Nano) which cost $2.50. It is functioning as a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) for a true Software Defined Radio (SDR). Brilliant engineering!
