This is definitely one of my favorite songs on Lauren's solo album. It's incredibly difficult not to be swept away by the wave of emotions it stirs. It hits way too close to home...
Also, it was very special to have Dan play the song with her at these acoustic shows. I waited until the last show in Kingston to record "Oh Mother," and it seemed like the perfect setting for the song. It's hard to capture in a video like this, but the church's acoustics were an excellent match for the song. I hope this little video does it some justice, at least.
