Please update the video this is not adjustable
Where is the video that shows the onyx lit up?
Do you need a reciver if you are wiring only white leds ?? Or can I go straight from the power supply to the led strip ? Thank you
If you want to be able to control the strip light with a remote, then yes, it still needs to be wired to a controller/receiver. If you are not going to use a remote, you can certainly wire your strips directly to your power supply as an alternative.
How many sheets can be connected before a significant drop in power to the end furthest from the power supply?
Hello! If you exceed the power supply’s allotted capacity, a voltage drop will occur. For example, if you're using our 36-watt single-color light sheets with a 300-watt power supply, here’s how to calculate how many sheets it can support. Since the 300-watt power supply has a load rating of 240 watts at 80%, divide 240 by 36 to find the number of light sheets it can power-approximately 6.66 sheets per power supply.
Good video

do you have waterproof cable connector in need?

This fixed my flickering problem - thank you!
Can you add multiple controllers? So lets say this was for a bedroom and you have a switch by the door and another by the bed?
Hello! Unfortunately, you can not. You can only use one controller in a DMX System.
Why does it sound like there's a reverb the size of a church cathedral on his voice?
There is no slider wheel on the SUL06P switch i bought yesterday.
My DMX wall controller only turns off on 2700k shouldn't it turn off on every color
❤❤
Bro kept it short and simple
Nice, I want them.
My strip only has black - and white+ so what should i do?
If you're using a strip light that was made by someone other than aspectLED, they should still work with our controllers and power supplies as long as the voltage matches your power supply's voltage.
Western union .... a term just to twist wires. America you scary!
I have 4 tape lights in total, can I put all 4 on one set of terminals, I see there is a second set of terminals on the power supply end and the tape light terminals end so should I put 2 tape lights on one set of terminals and the other 2 tape lights on the second set of terminals?
Hi! The preferred way to do it would be to split them and have 2 strips on each lead, but you can certainly use just one output lead from the power supply to power all of them as well if that's easier for you.
What about when you have 2 different tape lights wired on the other output that’s provided?
Hi! Any strip lights that are connected to any of the outputs of the same controller will all be controlled through the same zone. If you want to have individual control over your strips, they will need to be wired to their own controller, and then you would pair each controller to its own separate zone.
Really interested in how something like this would work for my electric drums
Can you use theses through wifi?
You can use wifi on your phone or tablet to download the app to your device, but the controller doesn't use or require any kind of internet connection, only Bluetooth.
@@aspectLEDlighting is there a way to connect through wifi to see if you've left your lights on if you were away on holiday??
Anyone know the range of the Bluetooth?
@@hmcin1 The Bluetooth range for the Casambi Controller is between 50 to 150 feet, depending on the level of obstructions in the sight of the controller.
How do I put batteries in remote, bsck is hard to get off
Any advice for remote being able to turn power off and on, but stuck on one color? Colorwheel not working, neither are presets etc. Just on/off
It seems you might be in the wrong zone. Try selecting a different zone button, and you should be able to start changing the colors.
@@aspectLEDlighting Thank you I realized that last night, we accidently hit a different zone and we just have 1. Thanks!
Seriously- I'm very interested in your product BUT - you forced me to watch an EXTREMELY long ad from B&H. Very unprofessional. Are you trying to attract customers or just rip us off of our time. Time is money. Shame on you .
Why are rhe instructional videos within this industry so bad?
So, one of my puck lights have a different color even when I press the button for them to both be the same color. What should I do?
Hi there, thank you for your comment. We don't have experience with color-changing puck lights, as the ones we sell are single color. Unfortunately, we don't have a troubleshooting solution for you in this case.
Can you connect directly to a light switch?
I'm getting ready to install some puck lights into an IKEA Kallax bookshelf. It has 8 cubbies that measure in at 13" wide x 13" height x 15" deep. I'm using these shelves to store CDs and eventually plan to add tempered glass shelves(to allow the light to pass through) in the middle of each cubby for additional CD storage. The shelves in gonna add will only 10" deep from the very back, I'm not going to make shelves that fit the entire depth of the cubbies. I'm recessing the glass shelves so each puck light will light up all of my CDs. I also plan to install tempered glass doors with magnetic push-to-release latches in each cubby to protect my CDs. I know all this extra information sounds irrelevant but it's just a precursor to my question. I'm wondering if there's some kind of equation I need to follow to find the optimal install point for my puck lights, to ensure that everything lights up properly? Should it be closer to the front or more in the middle? The LEDs are 12v and I've connected them to a smart, single color LED controller to dim and turn on/off from my phone. I've gotten everything setup and working in that regards. I've created a custom wiring harness for connecting the LEDs and I'm going to be using a router to cut out channels for the wires leading to the harness. The only thing I have left to do before installing them is: 1.) find the best location for the lights 2.) measure the distance from the LEDs to the harness and splice in additional wire as these LEDs came with very short wires, somewhere around 8". Sorry if I am rambling, I've been thinking this project through and this is the part of the project that I'm hung up on, the best spot to install because I didn't intend to move the lights once they're mounted. So I'm here seeing what you would do. Thanks
We recommend turning on your LED puck lights and testing their placement on different areas of the shelves before final installation. The best position is typically in the center of the shelves.
@@aspectLEDlighting thank you very much for the reply, I was thinking something like that but I'm NGL, I wasn't very confident in my thought process. It's nice to see I wasn't wrong.
Hey buddy I'm trying to do the same thing but I'm having a hard time finding or buying extra cable for my pucks. Since they came with such a short cable. Would you be able to let me know where did you buy the extra cable please.
@@LopezMario-bh8ns hey man, ok so I'm gonna try to explain on here but it was a bit of a lengthy process. I started off with buying 3x packs of these basic puck lights that had been returned to Amazon for 10 bucks per pack (it comes with 4 puck lights and a ridiculously long wire harness. I spliced the wiring harnesses together and lined the connectors up with each shelf so the light's wires came out the back and had the exact length that was needed to reach the connectors and have no extra. I did this by grabbing a small roll of 22 gauge pure copper wire (12 bucks on Amazon) and then spliced/soldered in the needed length, ensuring I had just enough length to run to the back of the shelf as mentioned above. I added approx 8 inches to each light. To install the lights, I made a little template that lined up exactly where I wanted my lights to go and marked the spots to secure the puck lights and then used a compact router + a .25" bit and set the plunge depth to just under. 25", going from the back of the shelf, all the way to approx ⅓" beyond the puck lights. Then using ca glue, I tacked the wires in place and filled in the routed out channel with pure white silicone until it was flush with the surface. This makes everything look so much cleaner cause you can't see any of the wiring. As for controlling the lights, I got a single color smart controller from BTF-Lighting on Amazon (23 bucks) and then used a 12v 3A power supply to power it. I could've stopped there but I didn't. I went on to add adjustable feet to the shelf so I can level it out on the carpet and then I ordered 8x IKEA Kallax glass shelves+glass doors. This makes each cubby of the shelf have a backing so you cannot see the wires whatsoeve unless you have the shelf pulled out. The shelves+doors are inserts, they cost $20 USD each and are well worth the investment. Every person that's seen my protect has been blown away at how professional it looks, and I have to agree with them. I wish I could provide a link to my shelf but TH-cam blocks links in the comments.
@WrappedInPlasticine than you, thank you for taking the time and explaining it. I appreciate it very much man💪💪. God bless!!
Can this work straight out the box to test strip lights without programming it yet?
If you attach a decoder at address 001 there is a preloaded program from NA loaded onto the stick as a defualt. Thanks!
Thanks for this video I am just adding Smart Wiring to my 12 metre bus so this was really helpful. Burton Trent
If I set a scene and turn off power then turn it back on will the lights go back to what I had them set for or do I have to manually get the scene going every time. And also does this work for all dmx lights?
Hi! Both the Controller and Decoders can remember the last command given to them, allowing them to stay in the same setting even after being powered off and back on. There is a limit to how long they can remember these commands when powered off, but it’s quite lengthy-several months.
I have been trying to get an answer to this question and no one has helped me yet. I'm really hoping you can help me. I am planning on getting a 32 channel DMX decoder so that I can run my own lighting for a piano and stage project. My question is this. If I run, let's say, 8 different lights from that one decoder will they all change with each other or will they be able to function and change color apart from each other. In other words, would I be able to have complete control of each light independently of each other or would I need separate decoders for this? Thanks so much in advance!
Hey that is a great question. So on DMX each address is it's own channel. So out of 32 if you divide that by 4, you would have 8 different RGBW address combinations to program independently. Anything on the same address will be the exact same thing. Thanks for the question and if you need any other help, reach out to our LED experts at support@aspectled.com we would be happy to work with you in getting your project set up!

Excellent video. I searched high and low for this information. Is there an online resource for all the various programming / factory reset / LED codes for the various Lutron Caseta switches? The Lutron website doesn't seem to have this information.
My low level is going completely off. What now?
How come no one seem to make a video without the remote control thingy? Some ppl are above 18 and don't need any tecno colours in their rooms.😊
