@@rudzon it isn't optimised yet, but I'm still running SC on a 7700k, so 🤷🏻 Windows 11 will probably be the catalyst for an upgrade this year rather than SC (though I'm sure my frames will benefit in SC too).

@@ozramblue117 nice! I haven't flown the QI yet, but it's basically a Guardian with Quantum Dampening, right? SC is pretty demanding, that's for sure. I'm running it on an older end of 2017 build still though.

@ yeah it keeps ships within a short range from jumping out. I suppose it’s best use case is piracy vs medium ships and solo Connys. Personally I imagine it as a solo, long range traveller that might have the opportunity to keep a ganker from running away should they be losing the fight. If you get the chance, please try a guardian with light strikes. I know they aren’t the hardest hitting lazer cannons but they do have the fastest laser cannon projectile speed. I’d test it myself if I could. My suspicion is that low time on target combined with high projectile speed will actually equate to most damage output irl. Also, Merry Christmas!

@@lunarzoid3264 what's your rig? I ran SC on standard Shadow config for years despite the RAM warning when I loaded SC. Even at 4K sometimes when I wanted particular footage or screenshots.

Works well for me. You can also run it on the standard configuration (I did for years)! There are some tweaks to help, feel free to add me on Discord. BrewBeard#4850

They still had the hardware from the previous Shafow Infinite users is my guess and even in transitioning to the standard service model, they thought they'd reward some long terms users with the option to upgrade. I'd say location played a part since I'm in Germany in close proximity to the data centre also. But even then it was a limited number so they sent out an email to long term backers who were in the right location and had tried to preorder Shadow Infinite in the past and gave them the option to upgrade. I responded within 1-2hours and accepted. The next day I had a look and the form was no longer open to any new submissions, so I was lucky! It's not the first time I've been given a loyalty reward by Shadow though. I got a free upgrade to extra storage only a few months in years ago as a surprise Early Backer reward.
