The Who on Keith Moon
มุมมอง 702K18 ปีที่แล้ว
Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend and John Entwistle discuss Keith Moon, his playing and his influence on the band.
Can someone please tell me where I can find the entire documentary?
The philosophical message is what's lacking in contemporary music.
I love the footage from the Who's Next sessions where Keith has the headphones gaff taped to his head to keep them from flying off.
as Keith has said he paints a picture when he plays !
He and his liberal friends should be happy Now😢
This Guy sucks 😢
What's impressive about Pete Townshend is that he's an artist who understands nuance and dynamics in the rock genre. A very rare thing.
best pedo song ever.
This should have 10B views, not 1M. The genius and talent are on another level.
What about Tommy …that’s from him too .
Pete Townshend doesn't need a band. He is a band.
Acoustics sound their best with mics
❤👍👍👍
This was BRILLIANT then in the late 60's and is still brilliant to this day! IMVHO, always imitated but NEVER equaled!
Strumming and arpeggio superman! I'll tip my hat to the new constitution... Take a bow for Pete Townshend...
CSI MIAMI
Wow, Roy Clark buzz saw right hand.
Pete does too but I think he too hurt that a man with that kind of genius wasted his life in the fashion he lived. You cannot spend that kind of time togther and not love them like a brother. Peter is much more guarded with his personal feelings then Roger so I doubt he'd ever admit that he truly misses Keith. When Keith died the best part of the who's sound went right along with him. Pete I'm sure hurts ... I does miss Keith but you're not going to hear about it. Also I think when he criticizes Keith for his crazy style of drumming it's Pete's way of shielding himself from admitting that it really hurts ... even still. Such a genius, and I'm sure from one genius to another Pete admired greatly Keith's drumming It changed the face of music abd who drummers could do. Rip Keith ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 Best of the best 👌 🎉😢
wow amazing
It's obvious from watching this that Keith, John, and Pete all loved and miss Keith. Keith was definitely a game changer in the world of drumming, and he played the drums like it was a lead instrument. He, Roger, Pete and John were powerful together, and it's a shame he and John are no longer around. Rest in power, Keith and John...
Master of chords as well as feedback
Peter Townsend et Jeff Beck les deux grands guitaristes anglais inventifs des sixties, les precurseurs du hard rock
So much fun watching!
Holy cow those up-down flourishes are amazing.
Damn Pete, you are the boss!! Thanks man!
Keith had to follow the vocals and the music because he couldn't set the tempo for them to follow. Pete said that himself, that Keith wasn't able to keep time. Sorry, but he wasn't quite the drummer people tried to make him out to be.
Thank you for posting this.
To put it plainly, the man has balls. He puts it out there, damn anyone else. I truly admire his personal attack on the human experience
Incredible performance, extra frustration that the hypnotised are still so he seems
This video made me love Roger Daltrey more than I already did. Such a great passion and understanding for what Keith did as a drummer
Without Moon I doubt very much they would have made it!
This makes me just want to do it all again, isnt it a shame that we have to leave, but that's how it works, and that's how it's been since the beginning.
Amazing. One of THE best rock songs ever written in my opinion.
we will never see his like again, in fact we never saw anyone like him back in the day, whenever i see footage of the who the first thing i look at is keith - RIP
Any time that I've seen footage of Keith Moon playing live, it always strikes me that there seems to be more sound coming from the drums than his bodily movements look like they should be producing. I'm not even sure that the way I'm articulating that makes sense but it seems to say something to me about just how good he was.
Keith played his best on LIVE AT LEEDS, WHO'S NEXT and QUADROPHENIA.
WOW! I absolutely LOVE the sound and tone of that big Gibson!
The raw real Townshend comes out.
There were three brilliant drummers of R&R. RINGO was the atomic clock. Dead center of every note. Like William Tells apple. GINGER was the Fred Astaire of drums. Jazz dancing around the edges of the beats. KEITH MOON: Just fu*king made up time...!!!
😊
He was so special!
Brilliant musician and definitely a guitar master. Why can't we have this from other artists now??
Is it wrong to still have a horrible crush on Roger? I'm 62 and I still daydream about that fringed leather jacket that he worn during the Tommy era. I could literally slide of my chair when I watch those vids.
I don't see nothing wrong with it at all. Why not? It's OK to fantasize.
A drummer for 50 yrs. i am certain, sometimes Keith didn't know what he was going to do next. He just... Played.
..Hey, get offa him!
It took till Zak joined the Who for the magic to return
Moon had joy. Not alot @t top or below do.
Not even Pete appreciated Keith's drumming. Pete's ego won't let it be. All four members of The Who were integral to the band.
Kenny Jones was an excellent drummer. Following Keith Moon was a thankless job.
No info on infection protocols 😕
Bravo! Townshend will be discovered by a new generation! Timeless masterpieces he created. Quadrophenia my personal favorite. Solo albums spectacular - many spectacular classics.
