Meet The NBA’s Most Overhated Player
There is no player in the game currently who gets more slander than one particular NBA player. Because of the scrutiny, nobody recognizes this player for his talent. #nba

The Confusing Legacy of Dirk Nowitzki
มุมมอง 1.7K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
Dirk Nowitzki is a well respected player across NBA community. However, it wasn't always like that. He was always at least a top 10 player who had the reputation of melting down in the playoffs. Is there any validity to that claim and even if so, how good was he? To answer these question, I made this video analyzing the confusing legacy of Dirk Nowitzki. I hope you enjoy it.

LeBron is still the most overhated. Tatum is the most overrated.
Hello sigma👋
I’d do it
What the heck? 😊
Bill Russell = 11x championships, 5x MVPs, 2º most rebounds of all time, average most blocks of all time (8.1), and has the most defensive win share of all time Bill Russell is the greatest center of all time
I apologize for the lower quality short. I was focused on getting it out quickly so that the recap would be out right after the game.
Dirk is a top 20 player of all time and it wasn’t his fault he didn’t win more rings. Horrible take!!
That isn't the conclusion that I came to? I said that even though his under performances cost the Mavs a few playoff games, they wouldn't be anywhere near contenders without Dirk since he consistently took depleted Mavs rosters to 50+ wins.
Bro they are not the favorites because Tatum and Brown have been known to come up short but IF they play to their max potential they are the easy favorites
You aren't wrong. However, this season, the Celtics look to have an easy path to the finals and will likely be more rested than whatever team they face.
Mr. Hoops, as a warriors fan, do you think it’s coming home next year if we keep Klay and Wiggs?
I don't anticipate the Warriors winning it all just because over the last two seasons, it's been inconsistent. I do think they can play at a championship level and are capable of a playoff run but the west will be even better next year.
luka boutta shut yall up
Hakeem is better than Shaq
Dirks supporitng cast was the WORST compared to all the other stars at the time besides Lebrons Cavs. Yet he still averaged 55+ Wins for over 10 seasons. The Mavs over performed in the regular season every year besides 2011, and the better teams just beat them up until that point every playoffs.
He’s a 1x MVP
wilt 1st?No way...2 titles, 2 finals MVPs, 4 regular season MVP when Kareem has 6,2,6 ....no...Kareem was better, he could also shoot ft
legacy of dirk is pretty clear and straightforward.. one of the most loyal, humble players who carried his team to beat the heatles to win a championship.
The audio is so bad, I can't watch Sorry bud, maybe next time
Dirks problem in the play offs was a result of Dirks lack of an aggressive instinct that star players must have when they carry a team deep into play offs. I remember a game in the play offs where the Mavericks were playing the Lakers. Dirk and Kobe met under the basket on a Kobe drive, as Dirk rose up to block Kobe's drive, Kobe used his off hand to knock Dirk out of his way. That was clearly an offensive foul. Dirk's reaction was immediately to look to the referee to call a foul, to defend him. Being a champion in the NBA requires that in the play offs you have to be able to get physical on both offense and defense. When an opponent fouls you hard you have to be able to return their physicality or you will get dominate. Dirk just is too nice of a guy to get rough to even defend himself. He did develop that fade away jump shot with the lead leg flying up putting that knee into a player trying to defend him though.
Dirk went juggernaut against the Lakers in 2011
This is BS. The reason the mavs didn't get more rings wasn't because of Dirk. It was complete incompetence in the front office. He averaged 25 pts and 10 rebounds in the 125 playoff games he played in. Some might have cast those doubts but they didn't think it through. Cuban has been extremely lucky to largely escape the criticism for all the blundrrs with the rosters. He drafted and then traded kelly olinic with Yanis still on the board and his GM staking his reputation on Yanis being the guy to get. He let Steve Nash walk for nothing. He let Jalen Brunson walk for nothing. He broke up the championship team not giving them a chance to defend the title. There are others but this is enough to get my point across.
I agree with this take. I mentioned towards the end of the video that throughout his prime, he took sub-par rosters to 50+ wins. However, the way Dirk played in the 2006 finals and 2007 playoffs greatly contributed to the Mavericks getting eliminated.
If anything Dirk is one of the most underrated superstars, working with what he had. People forget about the fits he gave opposing coaches with all of the mismatches and floor spacing for shooters and rim attackers Dallas never maximized. Dallas roster has always been poorly constructed. They traded away multiple all star and hall of fame guards. Kidd, Nash, Harris, Brunson No decent center until Tyson Chandler. Devin Harris was really the only guard that could take advantage of the huge floor spacing and mismatches Dirk trademarked and attack the rim to collapse the defense. Dirk never had good defensive players to defend opposing guards. In the 2006 finals Dallas lost 3 games by a total of 6 points and D Wade averaged 16 free throws per game 2nd all time in finales history only behind Shaq at 17 per game with LA. Wade literally got every call in game 5 and 6 shooting 46 combined free throws. Dallas lost game 5 by 1 point and game 6 by 3 points. Poor officiating and bad coaching for not running zone against bad 3 point shooting team.
not my proudest nut 😢
1 Joker 2 Hakeem 3 Shaq 4 Robinson 5 Kareem 6 Wilt 7 Embiid 8 Moses 9 Ewing 10 Mutombo I imagine them all playing in the same league with their actual skills and athletic ability. Wembanyama might overtake Every one if these guys though. In terms of actual skills, only Joker can match him and he's only 20. The old legends I threw in there dribble with 1 hand while Wemby is doing crossovers and no look passes. He leads the league in step back 3pt%! He's a full third ahead of 2nd place in blocks. Wilt and Kareem were way better for there era but the game has progressed so far since then.
Tim for mikan
Hakeem’s skill level was way above Shaq, just watch the 94, 95 Finals. He could fade away like MJ
He called it
Bro I hope you’re right
He's going to be top three. Maybe if they finish above Denver...
Moses Malone was a top 10 all time greatest center. He still holds the known NBA record for the most offensive rebounds in a game(27), and for a career(over 7000).
Where the f is Bogut on this list?
Ja at five is nonsense
I didn't have a choice considering that was my only spot left. Moreover, he only played 9 games this season which sort of disqualifies him.
@@HallofHoops6 that’s valid
Brandon Ingram is better than Dejounte Murray
That's fair. Both are amazing players but I wouldn't say he is better than the players I already put above Dejounte.
Good lists but I wonder Mikan and Ewing over Robert Parish who won multiple Championship with celtics?!
this video is trash 😂 thats why no one watches it
There are few switches I would make, Jokic IMO isn’t no where near #6 regardless of his offensive talent he isn’t worth spit on defense, He is playing in a low center talent era. The one thing about these ranking is there is ZERO based criteria…..always opinion. What is the measuring stick? Example Some believe Rings are what defines the goat……If that was the case Russel would be number 1……Just like all the fan boys thinking Jordan is the goat. Get the point. My top 5 1) Wilt 2) Kareem 3) Shaq 4) Hakeem 5) Malone
Joker is not ready Kid and everybody know Kareem is the Greatest Center.. U even could argue he is the GOAT. But ty for ur opinion, appreciat your list.. Keep making content..
" Hold my beer " Luka Doncic
He's having a crazy season.
Don’t want to be a hater and it’s just my opinion but I feel Ewing has always been overrated, don’t be mean just my opinion ❤😂
Chamberlain 1 Russell 2 three Reed
Willis always dominated jabbar
Wills Reed belongs on the list. There is a reason the Knicks won 2 titles with him
The don’t play defense anymore forget this clown at number 6
Ewing is a looser
The Mamba - my take is that he was definitely underrated, esp for his defense.
U dont know what u talking about boy.
Count the rings and look at the record. Not hard. See who comes out on top.
Eve if he wasn't center by name, let's talk about tim Duncan...
Bill Russell
No
No

I like your list Wilt is the greatest
How on earth is Kareem not number one???
Ralph Sampson
Were each player the 'best in league history'?????
1. kareem 2. wilt 3. bill 4. hakeem 5. shaq
Notably, Wilt Chamberlain used to bench press up to 500 pounds in his prime years. Even when this legend was 59 years old, he could bench press up to 465 pounds. Whereas Shaquille O'Neal had managed 450 pounds during his prime years. Lastly, Arnold Schwarzenegger said that Wilt Chamberlain was the strongest & most dominant athlete he had ever seen. Sorry Shaq - but you are the 2nd most dominant center behind The Big Dipper = Wilt Chamberlain.
(1) Wilt Chamberlain, (2) Kareem Abdul Jabbar, (3) Giannis Antetokounmpo, (4) Hakeem Olajuwon, (5) Shaquille O'Neal,(6) Bill Russell, (7) Moses Malone, (8) David Robinson, (9) Patrick Ewing, (10) Nikola Jokic. WILT CHAMBERLAIN was the most dominant center of all-time - not Shaq! I chose centers based upon their versatility and skill sets - NOT team championships! Nikola Jokic has limited defensive skills - and that is why he is my #10 center!
