Just having Fun with my RC collection.
Axial Scx10 Dingo Run @ Blan Bran Cwmbran Aug2024
Took my Axial Scx10 Dingo up to Blan Bran. Plenty of trails to walk. Takes about an hour to walk around without the RC's. This time only went around the mine ruins and by the stream below the res. Cracking place and right on the doorstep. My SCX is roughly standard. I run a 55turn HPI brushed crawler motor with Traxxas XL5 ESC and 5200mah 2s Lipo. #axial #scx10 #rcrockcrawler #tamiyarc

Damm that fine
I have updated the eletrics in my twin detonator. It's great fun. I don't recommend going brushless unless you have spare gear kits.
I,ve put the FTX 550 15 turn motors. plenty of power and speed
Love to see the tamiyas being kept alive, motor esc and shocks were first to go for me but now its great just small maintenance.
I just got one myself 🎉
Oooh lush that mate
Cheers, nice vid! I just built the Lunchbox myself :)
Awesome.... I just upload my new video
Nice twin detonator upgrading

Great video 😎👊🏻
Cheers.
Love the collection forget a shelf Queen When I was young I dreamed of having any of these and now I'm going to get them and drive them till the wheels fall off :)
Nice collection of Tamiyas! I love Tamiyas! Subbed ya!
In your off camera work, did you have difficulty putting the tiny ball connector (BC3) into the upright (BC13) (around the front suspension step)? Mine don't seem able to screw in, since the hole is so small (and triangular looking, but not sure if that's a problem).
Is it a 3rd gear change?
Yeah I'm looking for a good king Blackfoot can't find a good running one so on wants to sell
Nice job buddy 👍🏻
Name of the tune playing please?? Love the hornet vid, just about to restore mine!
Its one of the free soundtracks on the youtube editor.
Good lad. I’ve enjoyed this hobby since I was a kid. I’m 48 now!!! And in all that time I still think the hoppers and hornets are great fun!!
What was your favourite truck there my was the T CAB scania belong to bully what was yours
not one particular truck. I like some of the older ones people restore and keep running. Also like the work put into the artwork on some of the trucks.
cool
Couldn't go this year :( great video though!!
Love the Vajra, though the Avante chassis is so fragile.
Can you help me please, my wheel axel breaks immediately and everytime I fix it it breaks again. Should I change the plastic frame to metal, thanks.
Nice build but for the paint job it seems you used the wrong masking tape. You cannot use regular painter's masking tape for the edges. On the edges you have to use special tape - Tamiya has it - where the paint will not bleed under the tape. For the big surfaces you can use regular tape.
Did you upgrade the bearings inside as well or is it stock?
Canadian Retro yes all bearings inside as well. Just some cheap ones off eBay. I think I paid about £7
Hello mate. I really like the shade of red you chose for this. Have you had any problems with it staying on, because I read you can't paint the Holiday Buggy body unless you heat it up first to release, or burn off some chemicals in the plastic ? Nice build nevertheless. Thumbs up : )
Hi. Thanks. The colour is Volkswagen canyon red. I washed and primed the body first. However the edges around by the front wheel arches are a bit flaky. I think if i have to remove the decals it will pull the paint up. Thanks for the info. Next time might put the body in the oven for a bit.
Can I ask have you got the front and rear drive shafts back the front?
Hello mate, I wonder if you can help me with a few things. I've just got one of these and need some advice. The first thing is, it has 85mm long (end to end) shocks front & back, which are way too long The front wheels toe in really badly. When I push it down the wheels straighten out, so I guess I need shorter shocks. Could you tell me the length of your shocks front & back please. The other problem is the motor, esc and battery get really hot after a 10 minute run. Is this normal ? I am running a standard 540 silver can, 19 tooth pinion, generic chinese esc and a 4300 Nimh battery with stock wheels & tyres. It runs beautifully but gets very hot. Any advice would be very welcome. Many thanks, Derek : ))
Cool collection of Tamiya RC's, and I like that it is made up of different types of driving styles too. Thumbs up and subscribed : ))
Derek Woodgate cheers. i am trying to get one off each of the off road chassis types. might keep going though lol.
I'm sorry bro but mine sounds better then that you need to lean out the gas more bc I barely see smoke coming out its gonna lock up the motor
Very cool, takes me back to 1985. Thank you
cheers
I used to have one of these bad boys back in the day. It was purple and green, just to be different.
really great video my friend.
The Life of John Ness cheers
Lumpy...can you give me a part number on the bearings and pinion gear? I want to build one of these.
Hi there ! Nice Car ! What Tamiya colour code is the Blue ?Cheers !
Thanks for watching. The blue is TS-10 French blue. Tamiya colour range.
Nice video, waiting for mine from rcmart.
cheers
Doesn't come with an ESC? Maybe in your country.
No It didn't have an ESC. I had one left over from another build.
Wow that's a great collection ! You can never have too many Tamiya's :-)
nice video! subbed!
Nice 👍
use some anaerobic thread lock on the wheel nuts... not only prevents them for comeing loose later but makes putting them in a lot easier cause they stick to your finger :)
Nice collection! A lot of the most iconic. Thanks for sharing.
great collection!
great video i have a 1984 model of this which needs abit of work. been trying to find out how much it would be worth and where to take it etc
Daniel Cook thanks. I would look on eBay to see how much they are going for.
I have a 1984 need to get a new esc
...fatal paint job!
Wicked job on the body, man. :o
I like what I'm seeing here!
cheers
What Washing machine program do you use ;) Sorry nice collection !
Looks good. Nose also black. Brings back good build memories. It's a fun runner.
Cheers. I filled in the gaps around the sun roof with body filler. Going to run it hopefully tomorrow if it stops raining. Also built a Wild one.
Beautiful models both of them.
Ah I love the Scottish accent
You mean Welsh accent.....
