shes such a cutie! i think shes from an era of blythe before they came with stand covers, both of my dolls didnt come with stand covers and theyre from pre 2010 :3 i think my last doll of the year will be velvet minuet, that is if she gets here before january heheh

She's so cute and her hair colour is lovely. I'm not really sold on the outfit, although I love eclectic fashion it feels quite random, but at least they are all separate pieces which is always handy to have. I really HATE tights on Blythes, also because they have rubbery legs they can be the most difficult thing to get on them. You could maybe give Daphne a hair spa to make it not so smelly? There's a few videos on here on how to do it, normally it just involves soaking the hair in a mixture of hot water and fabric conditioner and then letting it dry naturally, always being careful not to get water inside the head etc. Hope you have a great Christmas too!

She definitely stands out at least. 😅 I’m going to try a little bit of dry shampoo on her hair first because she has an awful lot of fallout just from me handling her during the unboxing. Not sure why that was happening when her hair felt so soft to touch… If the dry shampoo doesn’t help with the smell then I’ll risk the hair spa - I saw an old tutorial on the Junie Moon channel recently that was helpful! Oh my - her hair really is perfect straight out of the box! She's such a lovely looking doll you must be delighted. I'd really like a brunette Blythe too, but yeah, Daunting Drusilla is out of my price range as well, also I would really like one with a brunette bob rather than one of the typical long hair with fringe like all the Blythes seem to have now. Oh and the hat that Sherlock Holmes wears is called a Deer Stalker btw.
@@MarchPaynesMidlifeDollyCrisis It does seem like they have no interest in expanding past the long hair and fringe look with the dolls these days and it’s such a pity. 4/5 of my dolls more or less have the same haircut. 😅 I’m hoping they release a doll like Drusilla in the future, at this point I’d love any doll that has got a gothic vibe to her! 🦇 And I knew the hat had a name! They are so cute!! I'm not a huge fan of the sylvanian newborns, they are sooo tiny that we can't barely see them! I love the blind bags, but i have the feeling that if i bought it i would get a lot of duplicates 😭
The size of them is convenient for me because it makes them easier to store but I can totally see where you’re coming from, they are tiny! The blind bags are great though but duplicates are definitely an issue… I feel like that’s all part of the gamble! 😅💗

These are so cute and it's nice that each one comes with a little accessory too, sorry you got a duplicate, Blind Bags can be such a hazard sometimes. I recently unboxed s Sylvanian Families "Spooky Surprise House" on my channel and couldn't believe how tiny the little cat figure was who came with it. Might have to track down a couple of these Blind Bags myself.
@@MarchPaynesMidlifeDollyCrisis They really are tiny but I find the pieces that come with the Sylvanians to be so much worse! I hate the furniture sets for that reason. I got the blind bags from Beattys of Loughrea’s website! I couldn’t find them in any of toy shops in Dublin city centre. 🥲🩷

I want a onesie with Chococat's face all over it in my size! He looks cute. I actually recently went on the Build-A-Bear website after watching someone opening a BAB advent calendar and it really felt like a whole other world of stuffies and clothes and accessories for them that I had been completely unaware of until now.
@@MarchPaynesMidlifeDollyCrisis I wasn’t too familiar with Build-a-Bear before getting Chococat but it’s wild seeing just how many options they have in terms of accessories and clothing. I recently found out you can also get the plushies scented too! Wish I had known this when I placed the order for Chococat… 😭💔

Opening Blythes can be kind of stressful, it's just the way that they are packaged up which seems to make it hard. Also, as you mentioned, I think they put something on the hair to help keep it - it can sometimes feel quite oily - I think/presume it's so if the doll is in left storage for a while that the hair will still be okay when she's finally unboxed. People do tend to give their dolls hair spas, but I find it kind of tedious and annoying. Plus it can take forever for the hair to dry afterwards, thanks to our Irish weather. Arledge looks fab, I have her as well but haven't unboxed her yet, it was her hair which really made me get her and I also liked her dress with the neck ruff. I agree with everything you said about customising Blythes. Also you can find some nice Blythe clothes on Etsy too, they aren't as cheap as AliExpress (and you can get some nice pieces on AliExpress too) but also aren't as expensive as buying them from Junie Moon either. I've never bought clothes from Junie Moon either, they always seem really expensive, although they do look lovely.

Hello I am new to your channel but not new to Blythe. I think I have 14 Neo sized, but two more on order. Your dolls are beautiful. Apparently there were some complaints about Mary’s hair and body. The body issue has been fixed since Mary, and I’m noticing less issues with hair as time goes on. Issues Ive had are, knotted hair, greasy hair, dry hair, however all issues are fixable.

I had no idea that Mary was faulty but it explains why her body kept flopping back/couldn’t support her head. It’s unfortunate but I’ll just have to be extra careful with her. @ Bless you hunny. You are lucky to have her. I’ve got fake licca chan bodies that I use on some of my dolls. Some of them are a little floppy. I stiffen them up with small rubber doll hair bands that I’ve received for free with Ali express orders, I wrap them around their thigh joints.
