so in this video, turn in on 5 is way too early, he was going way too slow for that of an early turn in. These are time trials, he should have let me pass right after 5. His turn into 6 was OK but missed the apex by about two car widths. Then again, had an opportunity to let me pass, didn't. Then turn 7, started to brake way too early for the speed he was going and missed the apex again, this time by a mile. Patience, turn 9-10, you take tight and then accelerate out of it, not take mid track and break while in the corner, and missed the apex. When i followed him on the last two sessions, he does this all around the track. Needs an instructor with him to, 1. be shown the proper line 2. proper braking technique 3. proper turn in and track out points and 4. (most important) how to let people pass you on track. The session prior he panicked and went off on 5, i was on a flyer and he didn't check his mirrors until the corner. I came up on him so quickly he chose to go off track than to point me by. All real novice mistakes. I get people want to be in the TT group but we're there to set lap times, and fast ones at that. If there is a faster driver out on track I make sure move over off line to let him fly by. no point to hold anyone up if i can't keep up anyway. Hope this helps. if you're ever at an event, don't hesitate and ask for a ride along or for an instructor. there are always some people waiting and willing to help. Now get out there and drive on a track near you! we need some more competition!!

@@redStaplerRacing after several straights with no point by I was given one on the only straight they were not allowed. This was at 35 MPH 🏴

Thank you. Thought I was going to be 2nd on this one but got lucky with the greasy track.

I use the stomp release method. So you jab the brake and release slowly and let the front tires scrub off speed as you apply throttle gradually. That stabilizes the car in the corner and gets you a better exit at full throttle from Apex on. Takes a while to learn but once you do. You're flying!!

That was the hardest part. It was on a left turn so, negotiating it was super difficult. Got 4 DNF's in a row. Haha.

Yes she pushed a bit. Forgot to flip the tires. The driver side was getting overheated.

Thank you. I was getting faster... But then the window blew out and that ruined the day. These new Nankangs have low 31's in them. The amount of grip on turn 4 and 5 was incredible. Adjusted the line the line a little to compensate for the extra speed. Needed one more session to get there.

Not a bad idea! How do I do that? I'm not savvy in video editing at all.

@@redStaplerRacing Do you use an editing software or anything? Most should be able to handle this for you relatively easily. I'd be happy to lend a hand.

I do not. Just from GoPro directly. I had race render but I need a new PC. Took hours to compile.

Oil pan, sway bar, and in replaced the links just to be safe. The oil pan had fist size hole in it. At least the frame was all good.

Yeah. Then he stopped by to let me know that if it wasn't for his racing skills we'd have a crash.... I cleared him by a good two car lengths! And completely lost him by turn 6. But ok. And yes. He did point by and still decided to go for it! Haha

We know him from last competition truly it’s arrogant and he thinking he knows everything. His interaction with us at the registration was you two better get out of my way . So on that old set up they're the Sebro ones from FCP Euro Slotted. They seem to have up kept the best. I'm running the 410mm girodisk now, and I do admit .. it was nice having free rotors from FCP. GiroDisk is damn expensive.

@redStaplerRacing yes!!! but with redStaplerRacing Porsche style ❤️. You have plenty of videos with good content in them. Maybe your next shots get outside views. You would have to listen to the song over and over lmao but you will slowly see what parts of a video fit into the part of the song. First step is creating the vision. To me, you seem to be a man who knows someone who knows someone. You could get yourself an inspiring videographer and allow them to have fun. Give them your videos and give them the song and tell them to make a montage. Any other shots they seem would be a good fit they can tell you and your next run out to get them shots. It takes a lot of time, prep, and dedication. You get your montage that should go viral with ease. They get the rep and a project they get to have in their portfolio to show the skills and talent they have learned. You really could make a one hit wonder of a montage not only for Porsche and Blackhawk farm but for yourself and if done right. Maybe take your channel to the next level. None the less you are a person who deserves to have a sick awesome one of a kind montage videos to go viral.

You're not kidding. Your tail whips out so quickly. I was running the same tire but definitely found more grip. Does that thing have that much torque that it just hits you that hard?

She's all fixed up and running. Just really wanted to go fast! Volvo is made for snow and dirt. Doesn't do well in the dry.

There is no hydroplaning unless you hit a large puddle. I use it for both wet and dry track use. Now the AR1... I had the pleasure of driving back from Michigan in the rain and had to drive 25mph with hazards on. Not fun. You can't go wrong with the CRS. It does everything great. Just don't drive in the snow on these tires!!

@@redStaplerRacing Thanks for the info. Sounds a lot like what i am looking for. Hehe, no Snow driving will be done. We have studded, proper winter tires, or spiked rally tires for that purpose where i live. :D

It's in the AWD class. There are only 3 classes in the winter event. AWD, RWD and FWD.

Love em!! Best tire for the money. Ultimate grip and they last for about 7/8 track days. I'm going to try out the new compound next year. Already went through 3 sets this year. AR1's are also pretty good but I like the CRS better. More predictable and they don't just let go after you heat them up. Definitely a buy.

@@redStaplerRacing great to hear! Is the new compound that you're referring to the CRS v2? I've been running the A052 and it's been a great tire, but open to trying something that may have similar mechanical grip and last longer, if that's not too much to ask, LOL.

@@alexroy0426 they really do last. I love the 52's. These have the same, if not even better grip.

I have a 991.2 Carrera. That's why it's so difficult to keep up with those GT cars.

I have to figure out how to use the new video file format from goPro. I can't even download the videos. I can only post them from my phone. The goPro 11 is a great camera but not very user friendly when you want to pull videos.

@@redStaplerRacing agreed, go pro overlay is useless. I thought you had the garmin catalyst, that one is easy.

@@nselewa I'm using Racetrack Hero... has a lot more telemetry/g-force and I have a high accuracy GPS so the lines are smoother and exact. Good for reviewing my screw ups. Haha

Na... i can't keep it in auto... wrong gear/power output from automatic option.

@@redStaplerRacing interesting, get cobb accessport for pdk tune, and throw it to aggressive pdk tune, will raise shifting points thats your second at least.

@@tadaskarl4495 already have it... still not the same... I have a custom tune.. 505hp and 515tq. So I don't need to be in a lower gear to pull out of the corner. I have full boost and max torque at 2500rpm. Thats why i can keep up with a GT3. I'll get em at every corner exit.

No. It's under the rear spoiler so you won't reach it with just taking the bumper off. It's not that difficult. Just wiggle it a bit. The connector is right under the wing.

@@danhow942 did you pull off the screw? They're screwed into the firewall. So if you pulled it out you may need to repair the connector as well.. good luck let me know if you need any more help. Shoot me a message.

@@redStaplerRacing about to take the spoiler off to get to the connector. I’ve exposed the screws on the left and right side underneath the covers to the left of the fans/oil and coolant. I’ve located the 4 screws underneath the spoiler it’s self. Are those the only screws holding it in place? Thanks.
