In Brazil Government pays you for 5 months after you lose your job. However when you get the money from the company there's another 40% of the total that you get back in the end. Let's suppose you worked 10 years for a certain company. The company owes you $80k. They need to pay $80k plus $32k because it's a government law. Apart of that you're gonna receive 5 months of wage that government pays you. It's not so bad
