Who said 4C hair had to complicated? I’m back at it again with a wash-n-go! With The Doux Mousse, I tried Trepadora Bamboo Ginseng, Trepadora Papaya Slip, African Pride Curl Defining Gel, a Temu Cream, and MY FAVORITE: Xtreme Wetline Gel. Skip to the end for my opinion of each.

Here I try a new method for my wash n' go: I slab gel throughout my hair then separate and smooth. Although it was defined, it also took 45 minutes. 😅 So, I guess it's back to the drawing board.

Love your coils
Thank you so much
Before I reposted this video, @naomiomi4503 suggested that it could be that my hair strands have a lot of build-up from the gels and that I could try a detox/reset with a clarifying shampoo. I like that idea, so if I do I will make a video. Thanks again Naomi!
Ignore the hanging lip and wide eyes lolll 👁️👄👁️ But would you ever try this style?
Please note that I don’t wash the glycolic acid out of my hair each time I apply it!

Love this ,going to start mixing the mousse and gel 🥰
Let me know how it goes! In my latest YT Short I commented a guideline you can use for knowing how much of each product to mix.
Thanks for watching! I’ll post the final result soon
Actually I might have to nix that for now. I think I’m coming down with a cold. 😩 But! I wanted to say: 1. I use this on soaking wet hair 2. Please use this as a guide and not a recipe. Think: gel > water > mousse More gel = more slip & less breakage More mousse = less drying time, softer hair More water = more definition & less tackiness
@@ChineloMarianofeel better 😢
Thank you!
brilliant
@@KarenLyttle thank you!
@@ChineloMariano will u do a video on how uou mix them ?
I just posted a short about it! ♥️
Did you not also get the firm smoothing brush attachment that ive seen with the Dyson? I'd like to hear your thoughts on that attachment.
I think that’s the one I said “smoothed down flyaways” lol but unfortunately I didn’t really focus on that. It was a simple attachment that helped direct air onto your hair. Nothing special happened when I used it but I can’t say I knew what I was doing lol 😅
Never thought to mix the mousse and gel together before applying. Great idea! Do you add water to this mixture? Will try with my next wash and go.
Yes I add lots of water and mix until it’s the consistency that I like (gel can take a lot of water and maintain a thick consistency). Water helps prevent that tacky, sticky feeling to your curls. Let me know how it goes!
Do you use leave in conditioner for your wash n go?
@@mimidaramola No, I don’t use leave-in conditioners anymore. My hair stays moisturized with the humectants in the gel
@@ChineloMariano alright. I'm a new subscriber. I've watched literally all the videos you posted. I'm looking forward to watching your video on using ecostyler for your wash n go. I saw your comment on another of your videos
Thanks for the motivation! I’ll definitely have that video up soon
I love this❤
Thank you! Let me know if you ever try it ❤
Hair is looking good regardless, but Sounds like you may need to see a dermatologist
Thanks! I actually solved my problem using glycolic acid and anti-dandruff shampoo. I can go a week now without having to wash my hair. But I wash 1-2x a week now because I like how it makes my hair feel and look.
I can tell you are a comedian with that face you made after the scrunchy 😂
Lolll Thanks friend! 🥹🫶
Ooh! I started using ECO Styler again and 🤯 I don’t know why I ever stopped! 😩 I’ll post a video soon
Girl after applying it shake your hair back and fourth and side to side instead of shingling and it will separate less work and time. I tried this after my arms were burning lol and it worked well. I have 4c hair as well your hair beautiful slay queen ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💯
Yay, I don’t often see 4C girls who like wash-n-gos! It’s nice to see! I stopped shaking it like that because I hate the feeling of all that product on my face 😩 loll. But no worries, I have a better method that takes me 45 minutes from wash to finish that’s on my channel. See you around!
@@ChineloMariano I love wash n gos thank you for responding ❤️ and chillllleee that product on the face is no joke lol. I definitely subscribed and I look forward to new 4c content!!
Thanks ♥️ See you soon!
Beautiful 😍
Thank you baby 😘
Wow miss. You are really beautiful
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this! I’m in the exact same place as you and like you said my main problem is that I I do not have the time to wash and style my hair more than once a week. I’m thinking the best solution for me would be to find a natural anti fungal / pre or pro biotic scalp serum that I can use daily that will support a healthy micro biome on my scalp. The smell is a sign that there is an imbalance of over populated bad bacteria. I’d be very interested to see how you find the leave in “foam’ your dermatologist suggested. Good luck on your scalp / hair care journey, I hope you find a solution that works well for you. Looking forward to future updates.
I understand! I’m going to make a video soon but I’ve been trying the medicated shampoo and it seems as if it’s nothing more than a regular shampoo. So I still wash my hair every 2-3 days but I do want to try the foam, but my insurance doesn’t cover it. It’s $75 with pharmacy discounts. I’m going to talk to my dermatologist again for alternatives
@@ChineloMariano sorry about the medicated shampoo. it’s definitely going to be a trial and error process, keep your head up we’ll find something that works! 75 dollars with discount included is daylight robbery, don’t trouble yourself that yet. I’m currently looking into the curl smith scalp range that has a three step clarifying process along with a day and night serum which has some pretty good reviews with the purpose of creating a healthy environment for the scalp. Another product that i’ve seen is the Vichy Dercos Anti-Dandruff Shampoo which comes in two variations; one for normal to oily hair and one for dry hair and formulated with 1% Selenium disulphide and 1% Salicylic Acid (not sure if you’ll have this in the US?). How long have you been washing your hair every 2-3 days and how has your hair reacted specifically? Does it feel dryer/ more brittle or does it feel softer and fluffier, or have you experienced no difference at all?
Omg, I’m just seeing this now, so sorry for the late reply! I love how detailed your comment is ♥️♥️♥️ Yes we will figure it out together!! It’s been a good 2-3 months of washing so often but guess what?! I’ve been able to go 4+ days now!! YES, I KNOW!! I’ve been massaging glycolic acid in my scalp and omg the DIFFERENCE!!! I posted a couple of videos on it! You have to try it and let me know!!! Also, I switched over to using Head and Shoulders. I’ll post a review after I try it for a few more days. So far so good 👍. See you soon!
Hey! I want to thank you for your videos!. I am currently going thru the same issue. 😩 How often do you use the glycolic acid in your scalp? Also which head and shoulders do you use?
You’re very welcome, I’m so happy it helps! I can make another video on it, but basically I put glycolic acid on my scalp whenever it starts to get itchy or smelly and massage it in. I do it as often as needed until I can’t anymore lol. So far, I’ve been able to go nearly a week without needing to wash! (and that was because the itching became too much, but there was no foul smell!)
Your talking facts❤😊
Thank you Lilah ♥️
Your sexy beautiful ❤
Lolll thanks!
Good for you! Nice dance moves😊
😂 thanks mommy!
You look soooooooooo pretty ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊❤😊❤😊😊❤😊❤
Thank you! You are kind ❤ But that thumbnail though 🤣
You is funny 😂😂😂😂 love it
🤣🤣 thanks!
😂😂😂😂😂
😂 your wife’s on the loose, somebody come get herrr
@@ChineloMariano 🤣🤣😭😭
Hope you get to the root cause of the issue! In the meanhwile, have you considered dry shampoos? Easy to use + you can extend the time between washes and mask the natural odor.
Hi! Thanks for the tip! I went to my dermatologist and I posted another video about what I learned!
Coming back on here to say: YES! I tried a dry shampoo! It wasn’t bad. It didn’t stop the itching but the smell was nice! I posted a video about using it and glycolic acid which has been a game changer for me!!
My favorite video. Love your thumbnails baby!
😂😂 Thank you baby!
You have very pretty hair❤😊😊🎉
Thank you so much! It has taken me so long to genuinely appreciate it.
Sorry for the irritatingly loud noise from the blow dryer 😅😅
i suffer from smelly scalp too what kind of smell is it to u?
So, I went to my dermatologist and he explained it to me. I’ll post a video soon but it’s the smell of scalp. My husband describes the progression like: first it smells like scalp, then sweat, then sulfur 🤣. For me it reminds me of a fungal smell.
@@ChineloMariano alright for me it’s like that as well i’m looking forward to that vid :)
@@shannonvdb Just uploaded it!
ccca?
I suspect some kind of alopecia but I’ll post a video soon about what my dermatologist told me
woooow 😍
😘
I’m gonna try this!
Let me know how it goes!
Also, I love using an apple cider vinegar rinse after a wash day, that’s the only thing that really worked for me. 🥺 hope you figure it out, let us know what the dermatologist says!
Thanks! Will do
Have you tried nizoral? My dermatologist recommended that
Yes! I have tried that and other medicated shampoos before. They didn't really work for me.
Coming back on here to say that I’ve been trying Head N Shoulders and glycolic acid and so far so good! I’ll post a review soon ♥️
SMH! You’re right, the Dyson sounds so problematic, I wonder if you got a bad one that was used and returned. But I love the final look!
Thank you!!
Dysons are a expensive blow dryer i can only IMAGINE the returned ones are put back on the shelf
Yes, VERYYYY expensive! 😩
All the clumps are clumping 🤣. We love a good clump 🙌
Thanks sis! 😘
So quick and informative! I love your videos!
Thank you 🥹
What shampoo and conditioner do you use? Also do you put conditioner in your scalp?
Hi again! 😆 I currently use Kristin Ess which I 100% recommend and will make a video for later. But throughout the years I’ve used scores of different shampoos and conditioners including medicated ones. And tried different methods (conditioner on scalp conditioner on hair only). So I don’t think it’s the shampoo or conditioner but something deeper. I’m going to a dermatologist and I’ll share what they say. But my sisters also have scalp issues too so maybe it’s hereditary?
Well please let us know soon
@Norjjjjjonedoor yes I went to the dermatologist and I’ll make a video soon!
Great job!
Thank you baby 🙈😘
How long is the whole process?
Hi! After I hop out the shower it takes me 25 - 60 minutes to style and 30 - 60 minutes to dry. It really depends on how much time I feel like spending defining the curls and/or drying them. Have you ever tried a wash-n-go?
@@ChineloMariano yes! But it takes more patience than I expected lol
Hahaha! Yes I’ve been doing wash-and-gos for a year now and oh my goodness, it paid off. I feel so confident about them now. The methods and types of products you use really make all the difference. I would love to do more people’s hair or even coach some to get started! You might even see a video like that in the near future 😉
Great job cutie! ❤
Thank you baby 😭
