TorqHead 24X install -Need to know and USED system information
Going through many opti spark units. Cant wait to get this installed.
Hey I have a 95 fbody. What was the web sight that can help with odb reader? Thanks
What was the name of that website?
I think you mean: moates.net/ - for 95 OBD1.5 applications? Good stuff.
How long would it take a shop to install it?
I should update the comments to say: I sold the Camaro. Had to. No choice as I was moving. The guy I sold it to got it running, so the used Torque Head definitely worked with all the parts I ordered from them. I'll just re-emphasize that the Torquehead guys were very nice and the parts were reasonably priced. Good luck to everyone!!

i have a dumb question for you, im going to install a torque head kit, im going to run a ATI supper damper as well. my question is do I leave the original reluctor wheel on the crank from the OPTi spark? did you just say screw it and leave it on there or did you take yours off?
Hi Josh, pretty sure there IS no stock reluctor wheel. Glad to hear you're going with a torque head. Good luck!!
@@shannoncalt8354 there is, it’s the pick up in front of the crank pulley signaled the OPTi spark. my cars is a 96 impala maybe it’s different but if you look at my crankshaft there’s a wheel like a reluctor wheel and then there’s the gear for the cam
@@joshstaley7459 Cool. You know, that may be the source of the whole "different hubs have different lengths" dilemma I ran into. I do not believe my F-body had that. And the hub was shorter and the damper and belts rode closer to the block as a result. Anyway, hope this helps you and you succeed with your torque head!!!
@@shannoncalt8354 crankshaft position sensor reluctor ring. that’s what it’s called in the GM manual. it’s behind the hub inside of the time and cover between the gear in the hub. did you remove it?
@@shannoncalt8354 thank you brother

So glad to hear it!!! I’m finally going to get back to mine in the next couple weeks!!!
Less talk and more install........ Damn gets boring!
Sadly, the Camaro remains in this condition in the exact same spot in my garage for two years now... I need to finish the install... COVID and house renovations got in the way. I remain hopeful people find this info useful. I'll post another video when I complete the job (when my garage floor isn't below freezing). Good luck all!!
I wanna do this to my 1995 c4 vet! The kits 2000$ now
Luckily my shop has a tech 2 and a Zeus that scans my 95 lol
Dude what ever happened with this install? I'm thinking about grabbing the kit. Would love to hear how it went?

Awesome video Thankyou man about to order one for my 96 z28 stroker
instablaster...
I watched both vids... I didnt care about the quality of the videos, it was good info- thanks for sharing. I have a 94' Z28 coming out of storage in a couple weeks and the Optispark needs replacement so I'm doing research. Not sure I want to spend the $2100 for the TorqHead, but it is what I want after seeing your video and a couple others. I really want the ability to program my tune cuz I need to do more work that just the opti so I'm thinking about a couple mods to the engine (pistons/cam + rollers) so having OBD2 is probably what I need to plan for.... Thanks again, the guys at TH sound awesome
Hey Shannon. Watched both videos. You have a pretty good persona on camera, maybe youtube video creation could be in your future?
Did u finish the installation?
I still haven’t! Im at “reinstall water pump” stage and got side-tracked by a bathroom remodel. Soon I hope. It is a slick kit. If you do, do a first start video or something and share the news!
Shannon Calt Can i borrow $1800? I’m good for it.
Have you completed the install? Thinking of getting one of these kits.
