lindo.....
The more I listen to this song, the more I hear the majestic leap in your skills since I started following you. This song is crafted so well it could have easily been the next JT release. Hope the doors of opportunity continue to grow 😎
I adore her,a true country singer!
This is such a beautiful song! The sound of the two of you performing together is simply sublime!
Maravillosa !!! ❤🫰🏻👏🏻
Magnificent! I only started listening to this band a few weeks ago, but everything they do is so unique. They can take a song you have heard a hundred times and make it brand new. Bravo!
Wow! This is the best version of "Angel From Montgomery" I've ever heard, except perhaps the original version with Bonnie Raitt and Freebo. He sure can sing and play with the same wonderful skills after all these years, and Alice Howe sings with her magnificent voice like a true angel, though she's actually from Boston! I'm hoping to get them back at our house for another concert soon! They also performed on June 7th at the Kerrville Folk Fest! See them in person if you can!
Twisted Pine: Kathleen Parks(fiddle and vocals); Anh Phung(flute); Dan Bui (mandolin; and Chris Sartori (stand-up bass). I can’t stop watching this wonderful performance!
Great performance. Giles, great sound, recording, videography!
beautiful song
I heard this live yesterday, and it moved me. I'm glad this song exists. "No man grows up to be his father if his father raises him right" really struck me and the picture at the end. 🥹 we are pieces of who came before us, not clones (hopefully haha)
Excellent! I will be studying this video. I’ve heard this song a long time ago, but never loved it until I heard it by Merle Haggard.
Fabulous ❤
Masterpiece
So very live and truly inspired…thanks again for sharing your kindness and dedication to your passion for life as well as music 🎶
Come play this in my living room. I promise I'll go crazier than this crowd. Awesome!
This was their opener when I saw them in February 2024 in Orlando 💙
Spectacular! Kathleen is transcendent!
In this song, Sam addresses the racist hypocrisy of an evangelical Christian musician he met in person, who then befriended him on Facebook. Listen to the words! Sam Robbins is such an ethical, empathic, and mature young songwriter!
Love to hear Sam! Can't wait for you to return to Louisiana!
I loved this one. All the emotions 💕
This song is the reason I began following singer/songwriter, Alice Howe, a few years ago. Her voice and her song styling is so incredibly beautiful and her lyrics of lost love touch my heart deeply. Anyone who has ever lost someone they loved deeply can relate to the sentiment and the emotion expressed in this beautiful song.
So lovely
Great video, Giles!
Definitely my favorite version of this song. I just love Twisted Pine, great musicians.
Steengoed!!!
(;U SING IT GURL;)
Wow! This song is so spiritual and so psychologically true!
Listen to the audience members singing in harmony during the last few minutes of Sam Robbins' version of this beautiful song. This is what is meant by a "music-loving community".
Great music and singing
Terrific song!
Love this guy
This video will be shared in the Dave's Basement Tracks "National Pie Day" edition number 165... thanks for posting this; it's wonderful; and of course she is.
I love this song!
So beautiful

Loving your music guys :)
I have to study your music, it betta be deep and emotional
Ross, I don't know if you ever read these comments, but I want you to know how much I love this song, and I hope you'll sing it at our upcoming house concert on July 16th.
I love this song!
Beautiful Song!!
This may be my favorite song of yours. Just a gorgeous tune in and out. “I want to live and die the long way even if it’s hard sometimes.” Brilliant.
With your beautiful talent why not deliver joyful rather than depressing content?
Every woman I know can relate to the lyrics in this beautiful, sad song. Emily is not only a superior songwriter; her voice conveys the truth with a beauty and fragility that is unforgettable. Wow!
I was so moved by this song. First, because my Dad and Uncles who served as the Greatest Generation, lived this. And as a cancer survivor I can empathize. Plus, my fellow warriors who we had to let go. I am raising a glass as I enjoy this song. God bless you Emily.
WOW! Can hardly wait to hear her on Cayamo!
Beautiful. I could listen to her all day.
Nikki, your voice and this song is just so beautiful!
It's driving me crazy that I can't find the song where she sings "we live the good life nice and slow nice and slow." It's so beautiful and represents my dreams but I only got to hear it at springfest.
Have you listened to all their albums on Spotify? That may be the best way to find the song you're looking for. I'll talk to both of them soon and ask them if they've seen your message. They're performing a private concert at our house on April 6th, 2019.
John Overman: Look at the most recent youtube videos of Nikki Talley at Concerts at the Woods. She sang "Nice and Slow" at our house concert on April 6th and we uploaded it.
Thank you for a wonderful house concert last night, Tom and Jaimee!
