1968 Side Tag 140 Gets an Engine Rebuild
It could be the cam moving side to side
That would be a blown bearing or a worm bushing wouldn’t it
Ya should make a snow pusher attachment like the big frontend loaders use in parking lots..it would be easy to make and faster with less clean up time.... still nice setup...
I need that manual if it works for all deere. Mine is a 74
Nice mower, you sound heartbroken 😊
is your manual cover 112 john deere also if so were did u buy it from i have to do same adjusted on my 1970 112 john deere
Definitely a real cool tractor looks great to
Looks nice. My 1993 GT262 is still going strong but I don't keep it that clean!
Great video. Thanks 😊
Wish I could find a 140 h3, dream tractor! Great vid.
That 110’s a keeper
Looks like fun. I need a loader tractor in the worst possible way.
Lookin good out there zman! That’s the way to handle snow for sure!
Yeah it’s a fun toy to play with for sure! Sucked cause under the white powder snow it was all ice. But we got the job done next winter the other 140 should be back up and plowing again!
Those are really neat engines, always thought it would be fun to tinker on one!
Yeah they are pretty neat been a fun learning experience getting this one going!
That’s pretty awesome zman! Can’t wait to see this thing in person. I’ve heard other guys tractors that pop about the same as this motor does lmao!
Hahah! Yeah I’m pretty pleased with it have some fine tuning but it’s a runner!
I have F held in on my K301 on my wheel horse held in with a hex female to female stand-off with a bold at the end , the bolt was rusted and broke in half , it’s held in by a bold holding a nut that holds another bolt it always worked but i never understood what F does is it important to have a perfect solid connection?
Hey can u take a video or take pictures of that wiring on the carb side I have a 1968 that I had to change the coil inside the flywheel and now there 3 wires I don't know where it goes it a points and condenser and coil wires the 1968 has flywheel coil 1969-74 is a side coil pack I don't have that I have a 68 the inside coil just like yours if u help me out ill appreciate it so much I've been trying to figure it out for a year now I miss the 140
I am in the same boat all 3 wires are screwed together at the condenser on my 68 but I don't have spark so?
I just got a 1965 110, got it running and deck rebuilt, love it
Nice, I got a 1965 that I just got running
My 140 trans also leaks like a pig. I was afraid to take it apart for seal replacement. After seeing you do this, I just might give it go.
Looking good! I like what you did with the hour meter mount. Cheaper and easier than finding and installing the rare and expensive factory one.
Nice to know how those rear ends come apart as the rear end in my patio 140 is locked up and I wanted to pull it apart and see why it's locked up. Worse case I can use the spare rear end I got with it
That tractor sure has seen its fair share of use over the years but man that'll be like a brand new tractor all said and done! I gotta stop by before the snow flies and see it
I hope you saved the fluid outta that to put back into it lmao! Man that tractor will be better than new zman! Hopefully we’ll see her at Portage or sooner maybe at a mow day at my moms lol
Dam that thing looks great zman!
Thanks bud! I’m not sure what was going on with TH-cam but this was 3months ago haha
Nothing like a fresh rebuild with OEM parts. One of these days my 210 will have its K341 engine rebuilt with all OEM Kohler parts...if I can still find them.
Thanks for sharing. I just picked one of these up last night. I'll have to see if Ronneys posted any more videos on this tractor.
I have a sears custom 7 that's missing the starter generator, it all looks very similar to what your working on. Is that a replacement starter that your putting in and if so would you have a part number? I can't seem to find one but I don't have a good number
I got a 100 John Deere that looks exactly like this guy. What horsepower motor is in that 70? Runs good man 💪
That's a cute little guy! Sure runs nice.
Yeah not a bad little machine! Always thought these were neat glad to add one to the collection!
That’s awesome zman! Man that was a great score all day long, the motor in there sounds really healthy, can’t wait to see ya shining her up!
Yeah seems to be a pretty solid machine! I’ll finishing getting the mechanicals all taking care of then get her redone!
That's a nicely-optioned 140! Runs good too.
Thanks! And it sure does run nice!
sweet Machine.
That 140 loader is badass! I had a chance a few weeks ago to borrow my buddy's 318 loader tractor before he sold it and it was fun to operate. Sorta the same situation here, right time right deal. For me it was none of those as I am jam packed as per usual so I didn't buy it
It pays to have just a few good tractors so when the uncommon ones come along you can buy em’!!
@@68Deere amen to that! I will admit currently my favorite tractor is my 83 318 because of all the features and the nice cut it has over my Sears
Man that’s a really sweet update zman! I’m liking that little 70, that gives a great idea, we should do mow day at my moms only using tiny mowers like that lol That Ford is looking mint too bud!
Heck yeah that would be pretty sweet!!
That loader is mint man, I tend to find them for top dollar or already attached to a different machine. That's sweet.
Thanks! I’m pretty happy with it!
Holy shit! What a survivor! That might be the lowest hour 316 in existence. I hope you don't use it. lol. Awesome find!
Dude, I would never use that machine, you’d better keep her locked up tight. That’s too nice to use!
Holy shit zman when you said it was practically new you weren’t lying! Lol wow, that’s gotta be the best original tractor find by anybody ever! Sure beats buying somebody else’s “project” they couldn’t figure out lmao
Heck yeah!!! Never thought I’d find one this nice pays to wait and not buy everything in sight!
68 Deere right! Not every prototype or 1of 1 is worth saving!
Wow that is one heck of a find! That's about as close to new as you can get! Talk about a true time capsule
That it is!! I’m pretty pleased with it for sure!!
68 Deere sure would love to see it in person sometime!
I'm trying to rewire my tractor and I need help, if you all right with it I'll be asking you a couple questions hopefully somebody will be able to help. So with what you said there's three wires that come off the A pole? Black and 2 reds
Well it just don't get any better than this. Thank you !
Thanks that was a clear and precise presentation. Been looking at how to videos for days and you nail my question. Thanks
Love the channel man. Hope to see more videos soon
Looks awesome zman! Sad to say but the old gumball style lights can't compete with LEDs lol
RooneysSears01 nope they can’t lol!!
awsome
I have a 68 110 John Deere and the belt is lose when the clutch is up but it gets tight when I push it down
1angry erevo Rc guy have the variatior adjusted properly?
68 Deere well the pully is this is on the variety it came down
Looks good on that tractor now!
Man did that ever turn out sweet zman! See new parts is the only way to go, sometimes you just have to throw the old shit away and start fresh lol those colors definitely look better than just black, nice attention to detail bud!
RooneysSears01 thanks bud!! Yeah it’s nice for sure!!
Very nice machine and cut!!!
W1WEASEL thanks! Yeah I was surprised i leveled the deck same as my parents tractor and you couldn’t tell what machine cut where!
That's really nice to see some of your older ones catching some sun and working away!
71_Sears yeah glad I could get out and use them!!
