Dunster house Addroom
มุมมอง 9Kปีที่แล้ว
Replaced our conservatory with a 5x3m and a 4x3m Dunster house Addroom, went together well with the help of builders and professionally finished. dunsterhouse.co.uk/addroom-garden-room-groove-effect-5m-x-3m

changed the bulb on my mp3 as the old one started blinking. I later adjusted the height of the beam when it got darker.
Huawei Smart Watch, selection of watch faces, not a review
มุมมอง 9K8 ปีที่แล้ว
Huawei watch faces, most preloaded. This is just to give you an idea of the selection of watch faces preloaded and how easy it is to switch between them. I was an early purchaser and would have found this video useful. I think the watch is great.
Wow! What a beautiful restoration! Just the way I like it, everything back to like-new condition. It's amazing to think of designing and building a 6 cylinder engine to produce a mere 12 HP! I am restoring a 1928 Pontiac with a 6 cylinder engine. All of a sudden the 40 HP it develops seems impressive. Although, there is probably a significant weight difference. Anyways, I hope to have my car looking as nice as yours when I am done. Thank you for sharing your impressive vintage auto.
Ever consider helping build for others, looks like a job outside of my mates capabilities.
Apart from the base its big lego, not many parts to put together, Im a nurse.
Did you connect 2 rooms?
yes
I've just purchased a 3x3 addroom. I'll need to be laying the slab base in afew weeks could you let me know how much depth you had for both the hard-core and concrete please. Also what width are the bearers please. Thank you
I did a straight 150 mm concrete slab onto compacted soil, the structure is relatively light
Thank you for that. Just one more question, the floor states to be 40mm thick, I'm assuming that's not including the bearers width. Would you know the width of these by any chance please? Thank you.
@@andrewnelson3510 the bearers were 35 x 70 the floor pannels are about 35 mm but specs may have changed
Good evening. We've just finished building our addroom and we love the extra space it's given us already. Just another question if you are able to help? We laid a solid level base, but we've found there were still afew parts that gave a flex and makes the floor squeak. Did you have this issue, and if so, how did you solve it? Thank you
@@andrewnelson3510 We have not had these problems, If you have not laid flooring it may be possible to add more screws to reduce movement. We laid 5mm foam under 12mm laminate flooring.
hi. i want to buy also 4mx3m can you tell me if the roof is ok and not leaking on heavy rain also how you stick roof boards together? thank you
The roof is interlocking panels like big laminate flooring, ours has not leaked.
Hey, may I ask if you are still happy with the addroom? Would you recommend it?
Just sitting in it now having breakfast 8 degrees outside 20 in here. Great value, we use it every day.
Does it require planning permission?
It is classified as a porch so permitted dev up to 30m squared, you need to have external doors from your house into it and get electrics certified.
Hello, great video, very helpful❤. Could you please let me know the real depth this addroom has from the original wall of the house once built? I am thinking of buying one, but can only build 3m at rear and I am worried it will be too long. Also, what did you use for additional insulation, please. Thank you very much
It is 301cm plus we added guttering this brings it out to 315, you should talk to building control if you are concerned. We used about a bag of rockwool on the part over the windows.
Thank you very much, that is very helpful. We received ours yesterday and want to start building it next weekend. Could you please let me know what kids of flushing did you use to waterproof the joint between house wall and addroom? Thank you very much ❤
Lead is best we just used an adhesive type from screwfix @@barboraboldis2431
@@CatherineDoneganMcC Thank you very much for taking your time to answer, I'll have a look online
How long it took to build? Do we need builders/carpenter?
Once the base was done with a few weeks to set. It took about 2 days to build, 4 of us, it is useful to have some DIY skills or know someone who does, we spent more time on the internal finnish than was required, if you are doing anything with electrics they need to be signed off or completed by an electrician, if you have an existing conservatory that you are replacing you could use the electric connections from that as always be very careful with electrics, it will try to kill you, get professionals if unsure. This job does save alot over an extensions just factor in a few hundred for an electrician and a few beers for mates.
Hi. Nice job. Just some advice we are looking to do this on pur property how could we extend the airbrick of the original house? When i put in the concrete pad? I know about the extension kits but how would i make this work with a 100mm pad? Any tips please? Cheers.
Sorry I do not know, strictly DIY, anything I don't know I go to a pro.
Hi what screws did use to screw bearer to concrete base
It is not screwed down. Inertia keeps it in place. Of course it is bolted to the wall.
Thank you
This is beautiful
So does dunster house arrange the installation or do we have to arrange that on our own ?
Its a DIY job
Hi Brian, how are you getting along with the addroom? Does it feel sturdy and firm? We are looking to get one soon. Are there any negatives?
Excellent so far
nice
Hi Brian, Im looking to do this same thing to our home. Can I just ask what was the lead time on your order? Did the windows and doors first well (I saw a few issues online with some)? Is it warm Inside? What are the walls like? Is it like plaster board? I notices you planned the bricks on the house, what paint did you use? Your expansion looks amazing. Im excited now..
I think the lead was about 8 weeks, windows went in fine, it was alot warmer than the conservatory it replaced, its a dense firm type of board not brittle like plasterboard, we didnt paint the brick just boxed over.
Same here, I am watching all the replies and learning a lot. I will be doing mine at 3 x 3, for office/ piano room.
Amazing this is beautiful. Did you put any mastic/silicone between the wall and the add room wall when you attached it to the house using masonry bolt?
No, applied sealant afterwards.
external clear silicone over joints we used a damp proof course for the joint.
Hi, how long did it take you to build this one of the addroom? Thanks
structure 2 days, internal finish a couple of days
With 4 of us it took 2 days, the internal finish is not part of the kit, all done in 1 week and in use. Of course doing the slab had to be done first and was given a few weeks to dry.
Terrible sound
cheap recording glasses for first person view
Hey what fixings did you use to tie the addroom walls into the house?
It depends on your brickwork, we were going to use EASYDRIVE TX COUNTERSUNK CONCRETE SCREWS but they were not suitable so went for masonry bolts instead.
@@CatherineDoneganMcC Did you put any mastic / silicone between the house and the addroom walls when you attached it to the house using the masonry bolts? Looking to do the same thing.
It looks brilliant! I`m sure this have added a lot to the vaule of the property. I`m planning to do something similar with 4x3m only. Could you tell me please if you still need building regs for this project ??Many thanks
I was told by my building inspector that it is a porch so for my purposes no. www.planningportal.co.uk/permission/common-projects/porches/building-regulations
I was told by our building inspector it didnt need building regs as it would be a porch, you can build up to 30m2, separate heat controls, external doors to rest of the house. If you are adding new loop of electrics you would need it certified, it is worth asking the council about rules for your area.
Hi, just wondering how this addroom is going after being up for a while. Have you experienced any issues with it? Would you recommend it? Most of all, are you able to use it in all weathers? Thanks
Great building so far, still in first year, it was much easier to warm than the conservatory, and of course worked to insulate the back of the house.
It is really good in all weathers, maybe 2-3 degrees cooler than the house in winter, lots of glass, doors needed some adjustment as it got warmer. As its a wooden structure it will expand and contract.
Hi there, how did you find using the Dunster House AddRoom? Would you recommend it and how is It holding up to the elements, build quality etc?
I would recommend it, we put down a ground sheet as seen in the video, like a damp proof course, we also added more insulation in the cavities. The long front panels that cover the sides need sealant to stop water getting in and lastly guttering. Similar cost to a conservatory but much warmer. Far cheaper than an extension.
Hi, what type of insulation did you add to cavities? Thank you
Hi Thanks for sharing Dunster house Addroom, Please let me know if you are happy with their quality? had you any problem with fitting or sealing? thank you for your help
And how many days did it take to build them please?

Io ho sostituito in autonomia la lampadina bruciata, ma se avessi dovuto ricorrere ad un meccanico mi sarebbe costato caro l'intervento.
Ciao riusciresti a dirmi il modello delle lampadine che hai montato? Grazie
Io ho fatto come te grazie a questo tutorial ✌️
