If you fully grind a mudshroom and use the whirlpool when you first touch you can make strength 3 in one ingredient. Then if you use a dryad saddle to get into the whirlpool to the right, ladle immediately after using it, you can get stoneskin 3.

Its types of ingredients. So 3 lifeleaf counts as one ingredient. Salt counts as zero.

Around the 30 minute mark, potions add up, so from a tier 3 if you add more, like another tier 3, the first part will lose a tier to make room for the new effect and keep the limit at 5.

You could save recipe but then continue exploring to get more experience. Just ending the brew without getting all the close xp is wasteful.

just my first experience with the game, not yet at the mid game tho but these are as basic as it gets: most stones are mainly for block crafting, you want flint or obsidian to get early tools. you make them by shift right clicking either rock on a flat surface, then cut the part out with any other rock cat tails are good early fibers to add inventory slots, 10 to craft one hand basket for each slot beside your hotbar at the bottom of the screen. you can build early containers with cat tails too (24 in a 3x3 with the center empty on your inventory menu). grass and wood is the early resource for campfires for food cooking, shift right click to build the tinder, add chopped lumber (lumber with the axe on the inventory menu) to build the campfire. the slot on the top left is for input, bottom left is burnables, right is the output. for more superior tools, you start by picking up ore pieces (usually copper) from the ground, which are indicators for veins deeper still. you'll want to start on clay shaping too to make crucibles for the metalworking part, besides crockery for better food and jars to store all collectibles. Well, if push comes to shove, calling up the help menu (default "h") will show you crafting recipes, which is quite thorough

Just 4 quick tips for you: 1 - Every type of potion Is on the water map while wine and oil only have half of the harder to get potions. 2 - Some potions needed to make both philosopher's stone and salt NEED to be made on the water but i shall not* say what is what as it is part of the fun. 3 - Just upgrade haggling to max stuff like haggle speed and the main upgrade as the popularity loss ain't too bad 4 - Try to use normal ingredients on oil base as the faded bones don't hurt much as the water base need them more Bonus tip - For the potion that needs necromancy you need to use water so here is the path i allways use: the golden apple ( bottom right ), invis, tele left to levitation, tele (top left) to fear, and finaly go to necromancy as its the hardest thing to go in and out both with and without teleportation.

I remember how weird the recipe you have to do in the previous version to make the philosopher stone. It's a mismatch of many contradictory effects! Not sure if you have to do in order but it was grindy and long! How in this world would figure this complicate recipe? 16:12 I still love the crystal cavern look!

Last I've played, those whirls could actually be pretty handy sometimes when you just want to move in a direction without really using up your ingredients. Didn't know they added so much more to this game since I last remembered, might go back for another stir

just an FYI if you are not aware of it. When you hover over an item being sold by a seller like when you were buying crystals. If you look at the bottom right of that info box that shows up you will see how many you have in your own stocks. It saves you browsing though your inventory seeing if you have something.

It is not that important but at this point in the game but I noticed you only collect 8 herbs at each harvest, I know you can get that number to 12 but do not know exactly how, is it skills/perks or is it just that You should make healing & growth potion for harvesting plants.

Bro set the bar too low-

Here is a good tip if you plan on playing suffering more or the harder modes in general. UPGRADE PLANTS FIRST i see this mistake done too many times by youtubers first thing you do is fully upgrade the amount of stuff you get per harvest normaly and while over-grown also max the chance to get seeds and the chance for the plant to be over-grown and after this get 2 of the basic plants ( so water blooms, fire bells and so on ) it should be getting an excess amount if your making potions ok since the closer ones take 4 plants max ( with exeptions ) now SAVE YOUR MONEY don't buy stuff unless its mushroom seeds ( these are the following ones you NEED stink, mad and witch mushrooms ) use the level up points for trading ( the first thing on the left ) and slowing haggling 5 should be good oh and ALLWAYS haggle as you will need the money finaly with the saved money BUY THE POND as soon as you can and for it place like 2 water weeds any will do as you will use them for selling if needed. From there just max out the mushroom and it should be smoove salling from there. Well around day 50 i personaly add 1 more of the basic plants and thats it. I will list every plant you Should have by day 55 3 : Water blooms, fire bells, wind blooms, terrarias, life leaves, witch mushrooms, mad mushrooms, stink mushroom. And finaly a bunch of water weed you use to sell for buying stuff like alchemy machine parts.

You can grow grasping roots on the roof of the cavern. The only one I've seen that can do that, so I wouldn't put it on the ground where the vast majority of other stuff goes. Also wouldn't it make more sense to get rage 2 and then go to enlargement 3. The order doesn't matter. You should def try to use the whirlpools, not to teleport, but to move the whirlpools length closer, for example when going to night vision, would have saved you one entire manabloom.
