A Potpourri Of Kentucky Pictures
This a hodge-podge of some of my favorite pictures, with Kentucky being the only thing they have in common. It was a good project to take on during our recent horrible weather.

Covered Bridges of Indiana
มุมมอง 95ปีที่แล้ว
Parke County has 31 historic covered bridges, but others are scattered throughout the state. Medora, the bridge in the title picture, is said by some of the locals to be the longest in the country, at 431 feet. However, New Hampshire people claim that their Cornish-Windsor bridge is 460 feet long. The pictures here were taken in January 2015 and October 2023.
Reelfoot Lake

Reelfoot Lake is mainly known by fishermen and hunters, but it is a beautiful place to visit for whatever reason. Birds are plentiful and easily visible via pontoon boat.

A second collection of favorites from the last three years. This was a crowd avoidance project, which allowed me to tweak some favorite images and learn a lot more about my new slide show software, PTE-AV Studio 10, which is marvelous, and made me glad Pro Show Producer went out of business and revoked my license.

I lived in Idaho in the 80s. The most beautiful state in the nation. The Palouse area is stunning. Kicking myself for not staying there. But found opportunities here in Indiana. Thank you. Best regards from Indiana.
Please: Preserve those old barns and old small farm houses. It's a heritage! This landscape is fantastic!

@@johnsignore1615 Mistake above. Correct link is redrivergorgearches.com/
@@allendawson9028 so on the DVDs what does he do just give the lat and log coordinates of each of the arches or does it contain directions on how to get to each one?
John Signore Has GPS
BIG improvement over the other older youtube presentations. Slower processions would help, sotte voce legato choral blending and get rid of the ponytail Mr. Sammons; you're the music director of an historic Anglican church, not at Woodstock! I say this because I am a retired cathedral choirmaster, organist, violist. violinist, composer, teacher and native Kentuckian who at one time was at both CCC Louisville and at CCC Lexington and asst principle viola in the Lexington Philharmonic, and specialist in men and boy choirs and liturgical choral techniques.
Viola Bear Thanks for your comment! You’re always welcome to put your opinions to work and come sing with us!
Was your name Viola Bear when you were CCC choirmaster? I was the vidiographer here, and I'm not musically trained. It's not clear from your comment whether "slower processions" refers to the music or the pace of the people in the procession (actually the recession). If the latter, the close proximity of the camera's wide-angle lens to the passersby would create the appearance of movement faster than it really was. s/ Allen Dawson
Addendum: on watching again, I see there was also a processional.
What sort of yields per acre do you farmers get with wheat or barley? Beautiful countryside and vid. That sure is some up n down land. I'd hate fighting a crop fire there..
Between 60-130 depends on how far south you go
My brother got a record 146 bushels/acre on one large portion of one of his wheat fields this past year (2020). It is located in the same Palouse region of Washington state (near Colton, WA) near where this video was filmed.
A fantastic job and presentation Allen, thank you and Nancy for sharing this memorable experience.
Incredibly beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
Utterly gorgeous!
