If you have trouble finding the Ford shifter panel lamp, or you don't wish to pay Ford's "parts price", the lamp is readily available from other sources. Sylvania #2721 is a 12 VDC, 1.2 Watt lamp and Sylvania #2723 is a 12 VDC, 2.3 Watt lamp (slightly brighter illumination) available from Canadian Tire, Walmart, Amazon and others.
I have an 07 Fusion, the AutoZone part number was 2721LL not sure it was the same but it looked like it. $6.99 for a two pack.
obviously it was installed in properly. u can see the water got under the vinyl. im sure acrylic caulking would have done tge trick
