Zelda Paper Maker - Item Animations
Updated the Link/Item animations. Still working on it, but mostly done. The blue cane is supposed to spawn a shield, but for now it spawns some grass.

New features: Controller Support Display variables on screen for working HUD HUD Face changes based on current HP Armor system Enemies shoot back (but you only hear it when in range) Enemies drop ammo Doors Gameover Ignore the teleporting glitch. It never did that before and I have no idea why it did when I was recording.

@iskangpotch6847 just a small map for testing until all the code is finished. Most of the base code is done, but there are lots of animations to do
Looking good, but remember the fan games golden rule: don't show anything until you're almost finished

@astro837 it's more to show what can be done in paper maker. I don't know how far I will go with the game. A few maps at least, maybe more if I'm feeling up to it

¿Cómo se cambia la animación de “Homero normal” a “Homero bailando”, si es por teclas como se agrega la animación?
primero convierto cada fotograma de la animación en una hoja de sprites de personaje, luego uso mover objeto>cambiar gráfico para recorrer manualmente la animación.

I only had a few sprites, so it's a lamp used as random trigger object to have Homer do stuff. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

Hello Rush! one question, how do you change how much the camera turns on the arrows? im new on this engine.
Hero state, move camera key presses, edit the move camera command. Change horizontal from 90 to something else. I used 30 here You should join the discord for help. I'm there along with a lot of other experienced users

How can you insert sprites larger than 32? or even 64? I'm asking this because unfortunately there is no tutorial or anyone who can answer my question.
Join the discord for help. But it should also be in the official websites guide. I wrote it myself. To put large sprites you simply make character sheets with larger canvas sizes, making sure they are all equal size and in 4 rows and columns

yeah, it's a common request. I hope to make them some day. when the engine reaches closer to it's final form. it keeps changing and tutorials could be obsolete, so I've been waiting

Bridge should be round. It's a dome, wish I could post a Green Concept photo to show what I mean. When is this project going to be playable?
It's shaped that way to fit the grid of rpg maker, and I wanted it to be a single screen map. So not meant to be 1:1 That 2k3 version is dead. I made a VXace version, that's dead too. I might revive this in another engine, but there are no plans to release anything playable atm.
@@kevin_ofnine sad. I love Trek. You may inspire me to do my own Inspired By project. You can make it fit the grid as a circular room. It just requires a Photoshop-like program and parallaxing. Either way. Nice job. - Doc
It's more like this. The chairs need to be 1 tile wide. Captains in the middle, the others spaced out as they are. Then the aisles on each side need to line up with the grid, and the doors have to be in view. Certain objects came first on the grid, and that was the shape required to fit them all. Anyways, in a new engine I wouldn't be limited by that, so it would look better. I'd say let's collaborate, but I can't commit to this anytime soon.
