this scene is so beautiful because it just brings Naruto as a series to a perfect close. Naruto was fueled to achieve his goals of becoming stronger because of his friendships. He never thought that his purpose of becoming hokage was greater than the promise he made to himself on saving Sasuke. He understood what Sasuke was battling with and even if he didnt know it all he knew he wanted to save him from that. In this fight I see that Sasuke is really battling himself and Naruto is fighting to show him that he will fight to stay by his side (not giving into sasukes wish of being killed) Thats love.

For years now. I’ve felt so disconnected with a close friend of mine. We watched all of naruto growing up and forming a relationship over that. His main in storm 3 is reanimated itachi, madara, and 6 paths sasuke. Growing apart from somebody you’ve shared so much of your life with can torture you. You’ll wonder if you should hang on to them as tight as you can or wash your hands and let go of it all. But I know deep down I couldn’t EVER just let my friend suffer alone the way he did after his girlfriend broke up with him. It hurt so much to watch. That was when this episode of naruto came out and I watched it all and he did too. We did it separately and I don’t know how he felt but I imagine that Naruto’s answer to sasuke: “because it hurts inside to watch you suffer” meant as much to him as it did to me.
