On November 9, 2024, during Day 2 of the BYU Management Society Asia Annual Conference, Joel Chen, President of BYU Management Society Singapore, delivered a powerful keynote about embracing change and the impact of small, consistent steps.
He shared his personal journey of health transformation that began in 2013, when he decided to cycle long distances despite challenging conditions. Starting with an electric bike and initially taking an hour for a 16-kilometer ride, Joel's perseverance led him to improve over time, eventually completing a 160-kilometer ride in 2024. His story exemplifies how incremental changes can lead to significant transformations.
Joel’s message is clear: even small changes, made consistently, can lead to life-altering success. He encourages everyone to take the first step toward positive change, just as the conference attendees did by coming together to learn and grow.
