Thanks to 28238 Metal Minds for being an amazing alliance partner! We had an amazing run at league meet 2, finishing with the top OPR in Houston, 4th highest OPR in Texas, and the 26th highest OPR in the World. We also had the highest score in Houston, and finished 1st in the league with a record of 5-0-0.

FTC centerstage successful 50 point auto!!
wow
Wait rgb is game legal?
yep!
@TheCosmobots25679 hmmmmm, we might have to take a look at it again then!
what slides are those?
Misumi SAR 230s
how is the actual claw secured down
It is held onto a shaft by bearings and two screws!
what engines do you use for outtake?
We have two 1150RPM Gobilda motors
@TheCosmobots25679 and spools?
@@rin4078 30mm spools!
Ftc does have pnematics? I had no idea
No, pneumatics are illegal in FTC.
Woah that’s really cool I post vex iq videos this looks really complicated
Thanks!
LET'S GOOOOOO
Finally a machine that can pick up millions of LEGO bricks that my toddler leaves behind
Impressive
Wow that's amazing. Now make it recognize clothing and toys and shoes. Please. All jokes aside this is such great work.
Thank you!
Ive bever seen a grab bot sort blocks before. So neat. Thanks for sharing!
Yo what makes the arm extent up? Compressed air? It works so smoothly I’m inspired
We have linear slides on the extension, and we have then set up with string to allow us to get constant speed, smooth linear motion.
@TheCosmobots25679what rpm/gear ratio is on your lift? (btw are you using a spring for retraction?)
@@itsnottheone1 we have three 1150s on a 16:24 ratio, final 750 rpm, with 30mm spools. No spring for retraction, its a direct die off with a string guide to prevent despooling
I wish I could see how everything works
This robot is for the FIRST Tech Challenge INTO THE Deep challenge. The season ends around April, so we might look into doing a robot explanation then!
I've seen a ton of robots just like this on TH-cam, I'm self-taught, so I didn't get it until now, your is actually doing what other people aim for. Nice! I love that this actually looks useful and affordable, like a future romba or robot for the house I could actually afford 😂.
lol, thanks!
Nice! My son was from your teammate's (28238) team. Hopefully we'll get to see you guys on Jan 11
That's amazing! See you Jan 11!
wow
Me when I play block blast
Hey I’m assuming you used gobilda wheels for this, I was wondering which wheels you used? Also how did you decide what wheels you wanted and their spacing and all?
We used the Gobilda 72mm wheels! We found the spacing through a lot of trial and error
@@TheCosmobots25679 Hey, sorry but are you sure that they’re 2.6 in apart in that case? At 72mm diameter they should be pressing against each other.
@@notinues3334 My bad, the wheels used in the video above are actually 48mm wheels.
Good intake, seems consistent!
Thanks!
Do you have a public cad available for that intake?
Unfortunately no, but it should be very easy to build! I will ask my team if we can open source it, if we can ill let you know.
that would be great if you had an open cad for that!
@dribble_editz12 That was the initial plan, but in the end we decided that it was too incomplete to release. Additionally, we switched to a claw from this because it was pretty inconsisntent.
nice intake! i was wondering how far apart the 2 wheels are. thanks!
they have a center to center distance of about 2.6 inches!
what gear ratio do you recommend running this intake?
We are direct driving two gobilda speed servos, and it works well so far. We might try melonbotics super servos later
@@TheCosmobots25679 thank you so much
@@Ferdimus No problem!
Wooooow!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice😀
CAD files?
We haven't made it public because we didn't really finish iterating it. We are switching to an active intake, and will soon reveal our design!
@@TheCosmobots25679what made you switch to an active intake instead of a claw? For this competition a claw seems to be the better choice due to the precision required, at least in my opinion.
@@storm_1620 We tried a few claw designs. However, we noticed that the intake speed was the biggest bottleneck with cycle times, and so we have been prototyping some active intake designs. Active intake is hard to pull off. However, we feel like it has more potential to be faster and more consistent.
@@TheCosmobots25679 Where is the motor in the claw mounted?
@@sanjeev4 Its mounted between the claw arms, in the back!
Wow!
Got no idea what that is but it looks cool
Its a robot we designed and built for the FIRST tech challenge robotics competition!
So like a battle bot ?
@@jansshrimps3785 Its more of non-destructive competitive robotics! You can see some videos if you search up FIRST Tech Challenge Centerstage!
😭the cutt off with "plane plane plane ahh"
Robot disconnected right after😭
🙀
This looks really cool!
