    What a very understanding husband you are. I am going through all of this now and cannot get the help I need. I live in Australia and Mcas & Pots is unknown by the medical professionals. I have been to emergency over and over and unless you are having a heart attack, they send you home. Mine was set off by the Covid Vax & Covid. I have been on a wait list with a specialist cardiologist for 8 months & one month to go. It’s just awful, I live alone and it’s very scary at times.

    Most fish is high in histamine, which is a crucial factor in MCAS. Might want to check info on the various names dyes can be under. Excipients, dyes and fillers in prescribed and OTC meds and supplements, vitamins can be major triggers for some people with MCAS. Red dye is in most pills, (bleached white) and often under names like "Aluminum Lake" and 100s of other names. Microcrystalline cellulose is another that affects some, and it's in just about everything. No implication that your wife is reacting to any of this as everyone is unique, but suspect everything, chewing gum, antacids, dryer sheets, makeup, toothpaste, some people are allergic to cotton or other fabrics, pepper, diary, and again, other than IV meds, any and all meds, prescribed included, (not compounded usually) can be "polluted" or cause a reaction. Hope this helps.

  • @ChronicExcessiveManliness
    @ChronicExcessiveManliness 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    MCAS is one of, if not *the* most confounding medical anomalies known to the medical and scientific community. No two people are the same, triggers, side effects, what can be consumed, what can not, excipients, dyes, heat, cold, stress, fluorescent lighting, EMF, parasites, medications, exercise, there is no end to the list of things that can cause degranulation, heart arrythmias, ocular issues, bone pain, anaphylaxis, and a myriad of other reactions. Most doctors are clueless about it and presume it's "all in your head" and suggest a shrink. I feel for your wife and your family, your bank account, peace of mind and overall quality of life.

    I have had macs and Pots since covid vaccine. Taking N-Acetyl-cysteine 600mg daily (its a orecursor to glutathione which is needed vy the body to breakdown viruses, bacteria, detix the body of chenicals. Often low in people with MCAS. NAC has been a game changer for me. Lots more energy, symptoms reduced significantly. quercitin helps too. Had to change my diet. Lot's of fresh fruits and vegetables, grass fed meat, I stay off chicken and pork as they are grain fed, low histamine diet, limit sugar gluten, processed meat/,foods. Eat lots of cabbage /green foods when having stomach flare-ups. Small amounts of chlorella to detox any heavy metals/toxins in my body, magnesium to relax muscles, vitamin d Wishing you all the best

    ALL disease is caused by plant consumption or poison injections you were given at some point in your life. Plants are NOT food for humans. Best you can do is eat the correct food for humans - meat / fish / eggs and some dairy. Be sure to consume good quality high fat meat every day. Avoid doctors and vegans for optimal health. *** side note - Mold can also deteriorate your health but if you are healthy in general you should not be that badly affected. Definitely do not reside in a mouldy environment.

    I'm so sorry you are struggling with so many things. I wish there would be a no cost hospital for adults like there are Shriners & St. Jude! Steroids raise blood sugar. Period. Can't avoid it. My blood sugar is usually 110. I'm pre-diabetic for 10+ years from 3 generations of full-blown, insulin dependent diabetics including all my siblings. But, no matter what, steroids will increase ANYONE'S blood sugar. Mine Shoots up into the 300's ONLY when i get a steroid injection or take tablets. Even my albuterol emergency inhaler causes a slight rise. Any of the various steroids. Since your wife is having to use steroids in several forms, her blood sugar can never recover. Hyperglycemia was bound to happen. You likely already knew this from all you are dealing with. I thought it might be helpful to say it here, tho, for someone watching. My heart goes out to you. (Oops!Heard you say steroids are causing her hyperglycemia 🫣)

      @@OutdoorEscape.sheart melting to hear such a supportive husband make sense of their wife's condition and doing all he can to help! I too have battled the effects of pots but never to the extent of your wife Christy I've an autoimmune condition, which I'm told I am genetically predisposed to, and now suffer with other knock on conditions which are a result of managing it over the years and also because of the medical interventions I had to persevere with to cope over the years and of course the side affects they too caused, there are always knock on effects managing these diseases And i was sick of being sick and decided to change what I put into my body, I eat only low carb higher healthy fats, no sugars removed high histamine foods, to try and sooth my bodies reactions and in many ways its helped. Am I cured, no definitely not, am I better equipped to advocate for my own well being? Absolutely Your wife is so blessed to have you but I would remind you both to take account of the reaction not only to the food but also the meds your wife is consuming! Because, and it may take some time to build up in our system, but whn our bodies cannot expel out the toxic build up of chemicals then our cells cannot function correctly and from my experience its a horrible existence whn one can barely function 😢 Hope I don't come across as judgement or🤷‍♂️ just speaking from my experience All the best from me to you both on your journey

    Is she double jointed or flexible or have super soft stretchy skin or muscle or joint pain? Asking because all three of these (mcas, pots, gastroparesis) are known to be caused by hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. You can have all three without EDS but it’s more common to have them with an underlying connective tissue problem. I’m also going through all of these conditions, it’s horrible. If she can tolerate them, the med Low Dose Naltrexone and the supplement Palmitoylethanolomide stabilize mast cells and have helped the most. Sending strength to you both

    • @OutdoorEscape.s
      @OutdoorEscape.s ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry it has taken me so long to answer back. Yes, I did make the aiders myself, and I used 1/8th amsteel, and it is definitely harder to feed back in itself, but that's just the size I went with. After I lock it in each other, I always try to feed at least 6 to 8 inches back in. As far as the total length, it all depends on how far you want to step up to your sticks and where you attached the aider to the stick. Hope this helps you some good luck this season.

  • @henrymoore7096

    • @OutdoorEscape.s
      @OutdoorEscape.s ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry it has taken me so long to respond, but yes, I built my aiders myself so I could get the step length to my sticks to fit me the best. Now, the 1/8th amsteel is harder to use, but it is light and that is what I was trying for. Hope this helps and good luck this season.
