Uncle, how do you clean these jalousies? Video please.
Great question! Uncle will do a video. Cleaning is fairly simple and just takes a little practice. Thank you for the request. See you soon! Aloha !
Mahalo Uncle JR ! Great demonstration, I was able to change it myself! 👏🏻❤️🌺
Awesome good job! Great effort for trying to do it yourself. Proud of you! Mahalo and Aloha for checking my videos
WTH? I was getting ready to replace an insinkerator with another one. Bought everything. Right before I started, I decided to watch another video. I grabbed the allen wrench that came with the new one and spun the old disposal around a few times after rinse you do it, and now it works.
Good job! Save some money! Aloha and Mahalo!
Mahalo uncle jr
Thank you Molotiv! Aloha
Thanks Unc 🤙🏾
Aloha and Thank you for watching uncle’s video. Glad I was helpful. Be Safe and Kind! Aloha
Very helpful! Looking to do this myself. Question for you...can you please share what size concrete screw you use? I’m looking at the 3/16"x1-1/4” flathead Tapcon screws and wondered if they’re long enough?
Good guess! Uncle had used that same brand and size. 1 1/4 is a perfect length to install . Aloha and Mahalo for your support.
@@unclejrsdiy Thank you so much & have a blessed day!!!
Mahalo Uncle 🤙🏾
Mahalo Nathan! Good luck with the repair. Aloha
Thank sir, you just save me a lot of money and time, my garburator just give up and I was shopping online for a better one, then i found your video and did as you suggested with the alen key and reset the red switch and BINGO, it is good for an other five years, THANKS SIR.
Wow good job! So proud of you! Uncle so glad I could help. Be safe and be kind. Aloha !
My crank just turns and turns without open the louvres. Is it still the crank that needs replacing? Thank you!
Hi Suzan, check to make sure the crank arm is connected to the body of the crank. If it is, than the crank or operator needs to be replaced. Hope that helps. Thank you so much for viewing my channel. Aloha and good luck !
Mahalo uncle!! My landlord doesn't want to replace or send someone to fix my disposal so i found your video and just installed one all by myself!! I never knew that there was a powercord let alone an entire outlet at the bottom of my sink 😅😅!! I truly appreciate you for sharing your knowledge!! I hope you have a blessed day!!
Uncle so happy to know I could be of help. Uncle is a licensed Real Estate Agent and it’s your right to have your landlord or Realtor to repair the broken disposal. Unless you broke it intentionally than you have to pay for the repair. However, if it’s a matter of Wear and Tear due to aging, than the owner or realtor should be responsible. Hope that helps. Mahalo and Aloha my friend!
thank you uncle, mine broke and I have to move out. So I'm stoked I came across your video. Thank you again!
Wow Thank you! Uncle so Stoked Too, I can actually be helpful. Mahalo & Aloha

Thanks for the video Uncle! Now I can try fix some of the old windows at home. Question - what spray did you use? And ... do you know where to find glass jalousies to replace broken or cracked ones?
Hi Lexe! Uncle likes to use WD40 for lubricant and loosen the brackets, but you can use any multipurpose spray lubricant of your choice. Also you can purchase the glass jalousie at any hardware store. Uncle goes to City Mill tho, to buy my jalousie . I am so glad you try to do diy yourself! I’m so proud of you! No get intimidated to fix things. If you have a fixer upper problem, Uncle always here to give you tips ! Much Mahalo for your support! Aloha, Uncle Jr.

Mahalo Matthew! Glad to know it was helpful! Aloha!
I like the way you work the carrot 😁
Thank you! Im super good with my hands.
Thank you for your support!
Thanks Uncle! 😩I have jealousies that are off just a few mm for 28” cause house not plumb. Any tips for just a little bit? Grinder or sandpaper?😬 for sure, break yeah?
When your window frame is not plumb you will have different sizes that can differ as little as 1/8 of a inch that will effect how it fits in the track. You need at least 2 1/2 to 3 inches to get a clean cut. Do not try anything less. Hope that helps you. Mahalo for watching! Aloha !
wow unko i like some🤣!!
Come over for beer and grindz!!!!!
Awesome brother Jr. So proud of u!

Thank you so much! I just watched and I appreciate all your very detailed instructions. I am not very mechanical or construction savvy and I have these windows in my vintage travel trailer and I need alot of the details that you showed here. I had to chuckle at your video bomber who peeked in to listen and give his thumbs up 😊
Thank you so much for your support! If Uncle can do it , so can you Eztravels9809. As long as you try your best, you should always be Proud. Stay Happy and Healthy! Aloha! Uncle.

My cutter must be old. I wasn't able to score the glass this easy. Thanks for the video. I need to buy a new tool!
Just keep practicing and your get it! Uncle took many cuts before I got the hang of it. Glad you tried. Aloha!
I’m glad you tried. Keep practicing ! No worries. Aloha for watching Uncle’s videos.
@@unclejrsdiy thanks for video, I got the glass second hand from Marketplace, I tried yesterday and it did not work. As a woman I do alot at home but I am afraid of getting cut ;-( so I am going to find a male friend to cut them for me. Thanks for video, I do everything at home by watching videos.
@@gemmaestradamora7086 Good effort for trying! Wear gloves and try again. Put a little pressure when scoring the straight line. Good luck! Thank you for watching. Aloha !
This was an awesome video and I now understand that I can fix these old cranks. I got a replacement quote from a glass company here in Honolulu for $7600!!!
Wow that's some expensive quotes! Yes , just try and fix it yourself. If you need more advice on a project or repair, just let Uncle know and I will be glad to make a video. Thank you! Aloha, Uncle Jr
Excellent job explaining the connection of top flange. Thank you so much for stopping and taking the time to make this so clear! Appreciate your good work!
Thank you so much for your comment. Uncle is glad to share some tips! Aloha and Mahalo!
Uncle, I use WD-40 lithium to loosen up the jalousie's brackets instead of WD-40. Cost a little more but worth it for keeping the brackets lubricated and operating for a longer period of time. So glad to have found your TH-cam channel. Looking forward to learning more how to dos from you. Much Mahalos, Uncle!
Wow your comments just put a big smile on Uncle! So glad Uncle can be of help to someone like you. If broken, just fix'um! Thank you for watching my videos. Aloha ! Uncle Jr.
Very well explained uncle! Got yourself a new subscriber. Mahalo!
I see online that Jalousie glass is tempered. Can you confirm that the glass you were cutting was tempered and if not where did you get the glass in the video?
Sorry for the late reply. Uncle was on vacation. But my Jalousie glass is not tempered. If you live in Hawaii , you can purchase the Jalousie at any hardware store. Mahalo for watching and have an Aloha Day!
One of the best DIY videos I've seen...simple, clear and fast directions on how to take care of the Jalousie window repairs! Thank you!
Much Mahalo! Uncle appreciates the feedback. Sorry if Uncle sometimes don"t speak well. lol. Glad that video was helpful. Stay Happy! Aloha, Uncle Jr
Thanks for excellent how-to video! Fix stuff, don't replaced something that just needs a little work and a few parts to restore it.
Thank you so much !! Sorry for the delay in reply. Uncle has been confused on how to know and find my comments on my channel, So funny cause Uncle can fix things but when it comes to my own page, I have a hard time navigating . Lol Uncle son sorry again for the late response.
thanks for the lesson uncle! needed this. Shootz from Kauai north shore....
Awww Thank you! Kauai my favorite island people. Aloha!
Aloha Uncle! I need to remove my jalousie crank operator. But the screw that attaches the crank arm to the track (the screw that has a washer) is completely rusted shut. How can I get that screw out without ruining the track?
Hi Kim, that's the one thing that I hate when it happens. First, spray wd40 and let sit for 5 min. Then remove the 4 screws that is holding the crank operator. Grab the crank and wiggle it up and down and watch that screw until you see it move. Now if you did not round out the screw head and still can use a Phillips screwdriver, try and loosen it. But before you do that, you must turn the screw to tighten and then turn the screw driver to loosen. Doing this will free the screw from the rust. Then go the other way to remove. If all else fails, next thing that would work, would be to drill the screw head off. Uncle wish I was there to help you! lmk what happens. Aloha!
You right, uncle! BE KIND!! I accidentally used bleach to clean the seats and it corroded looking all hamajang!! I gotta change mines! Thanks!
Thank you for watching M! yes cat owners must have that problem and just a suggestion , if you do have pets, install good quality screen mesh. Remember, there are different types of screens that serve their purpose. Aloha!
Hamajang ! I like that …lol. I should make a shirt with that word. Lol
