Im running hope tech 4 v4, I don’t think the Shimano XT are bad brakes however I had the hopes on my old bike and they were only 6 months old so I transferred them over and they have made a big difference! Pressures are dependant on the weight of the rider, I’m on the heavy end but run 24/23 B/F with rimpact inserts. I also run a token in the shock as I found it bottoming out a little too easy! I wouldn’t say I’ve got it 100% dialled yet but it’s close!

@@MatthewThirteenFourtyFour Thanks mate and yea it is limited to 15.5 mph, you only notice the limiter tbh on flat bridleways and it does feel quite odd, I’ve learnt to just peddle in the power band at just under the limiter in those situations as it feels much nicer to ride this way!

Yeah handling well mate! Few minor tweaks maybe to the suspension still but 90% there I reckon! Trails there a a weird one for the most part there quite grippy then all of a sudden they aint 😂

@@BoAndHisBike Yeah thats the problem! Not sure they’re built for UK weather really! Have you had a few replacements already?

@@chunkyantmtb one so far, out of warranty unfortunately which was expensive. My advice is: wash the crap out of it and don't try to be gentle around the motor when washing. You want it to fail within the warranty as it's going to fail eventually anyway (they all do sooner or later). Unfortunately it does not work out in our favour to 'look after' it. When they give you a new motor as a warranty replacement you get a new warranty with it.

@@BoAndHisBike what motor have you got in yours? I was considering potentially getting rid of the bike at the two year mark because of this!

I’m in the same position, I have about 4-5 hours at most once a week to ride! I’m getting about 10miles max out of my enduro bike so it’s a no brainer to go to a e-bike ( just got to pay off a wedding first😂)

@@MTB_Derbyshire Yep, couldn’t see a thing from the top 🙄 Its worth doing, just a pain as bikes have to be off the mountain by 10am in season!

@@OfftheTopMTB it is a beast for sure! The 5am start wasn’t ideal by any stretch esp after a day at Stiniog! I reckon you might get up there in half the time on an Eeb (maybe faster) so no need for getting up in the middle of the night! 😉

@@alex__rides__bikes I think Snowdon is one of those places than can be very unforgiving and it would have been great to have an awesome view from the top but it was still an awesome experience and just means we will have to do it again 👍 Running a little behind with the edits atm but ill get there!) 😀

@@HallMarc_Trails thanks mate! Yeah I believe some of it has been sanitised unfortunately, didn’t stop us from having a good day but did mean a lot of motorway sections with jumps (which I’m not very good at!) I will still come back at some point but think BPW will be my next one! 👍

It is a good one! Its eroded away a bit as well now so can make the first part a bit twitchy!
